Good solid menu. Staff nice. Lots of food for the price. I had two pancakes but finished one.

Cute and casual place for breakfast - great in the summer with the large open windows. Food was delicious and love that they offer half portions - got a half portion of French toast. Busy and popular but seated quickly! We did wait around 30 min for the food to arrive after ordering.

Great restaurant for a decent breakfast that will keep you full for hours! Really good chocolate chip pancakes and also savory breakfasts with eggs and toast.

Susie is very nice attentive social and kind! Food was all good. Close walk to a Four Seasons stay, we sat outside and it was a beautiful sunny day.

Very homey cooking style - nothing amazing. I ordered the Irish Benedict and it was satisfying but I wouldn't say it was $16 worth. Their eggs and corned beef hash were cooked well but their hollandaise sauce and potatoes were just okay. Overall a bit bland. At it's price point and quality compared to other options in Boston, I wouldn't say it's the best option for brunch.

Not what I was expecting but it was good! I would get it again! But for sure a side of bacon was really good!

This was a good breakfast place for a solo dining experience. I was looking for a affordable breakfast at a sit down restaurant within walking distance to Northeastern University and this fit the bill. I was there early so there were not many people in the restaurant and I was seated right away. It was my waitress' first day and she was being trained! Both of the service members were so nice and she did a great job for it being her first day. Very attentive and made sure my coffee and water was filled :) The coffee was your standard diner coffee, nothing special! I had the side fruit plate and dang this was a lot of fruit!! You definitely get your moneys worth and i was really craving fresh fruit so I was super happy with this combination. I then had the breakfast burger which is a sausage patty with cheddar cheese and an egg on an english muffin. I actually really enjoyed this considering I'm usually not a big fan of English muffins but it was good and hot, temperature wise. I thought the potatoes were the stand out of the dish and they were seasoned so well. I wish there was a larger portion on the plate! Overall this was a good choice for a quick breakfast and I didn't feel uncomfortable dining here alone. It was good for the price.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance to! The food was just okay though. I got the menemen ($14.95) with rye bread. The dish was prepared with scrambled eggs. The eggs were a little bit overdone for my liking (I think the dish could be really good if the eggs are slightly runny so that they are creamier). The tomato part itself could have used more seasoning. On the side, the dish also came with homefries/potatoes which were very soft and also a little underseasoned. Overall, the dish was pretty filling but left a lot to be desired. The server asked if I wanted to add cheese on my menemen and I said no, but my friend decided to get theirs with cheese. I only found out later when we got the check that adding cheese added almost $2 more to the dish. While I wasn't surprised that adding cheese would add an extra cost, I was a little annoyed that the server didn't disclose the added cost when they initially asked and instead just added it to the bill.

Pineapple Coconut pancakes! She finished every last bite!

Went with the family! Kids absolutely loved the crepes and coconut pineapple pancakes! Food came out quick especially for how busy they were and the server was nice, fun and made it just a wonderful experience!

3.5 stars. Well loved, homey little diner. Plenty of seating available inside, with a bunch of seating available outside, but very close to the sidewalk. This place was super busy, but we were seated immediately on Sunday morning before 10am. Our server was extremely friendly and I overheard him explaining options and recommendations to the table next to us. My husband and I knew everything we wanted and were warned it would be about a 15-20 minute wait for the food. It came out faster than expected. I got the Oscar Eggs Benedict, which is crab cake. It was very good! My husband got the Amaretto Vanilla French toast, but without the sliced almonds on top. He said it had a very light vanilla flavor, but almost no almond flavor. He said it was good though. Overall, this was an inexpensive breakfast spot with solid options for everyone!

We were craving breakfast food and this was the spot we chose which was perfect bc it was close to the hotel. Everyone ordered their basic 2 egg breakfast, I ordered their Mediterranean Menemen/Shaksuka which was delicious. 1 less star bc the home fries were a bit too soggy for our taste. Both the lady who sat us and the gentleman who took our order were very very kind. I would definitely recommend.

I really love Thornton's for breakfast. Breakfast is available 7 days a week, which is amazing - and there are so many delicious options to choose from! I really enjoyed their eggs Florentine. The prices are reasonable too. I definitely recommend Thornton's for a nice breakfast or brunch - everyone will definitely find something they like. The portions are huge, service is great, and food is amazing!

Came here again for breakfast for the third time, got the same thing again, same experience pretty much but I think the food came out quicker which was a plus. Hence, add one star.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

We almost felt that we were inconveniencing the workers and the wait time is absurd for in person orders. But I have to give credit when it's due, this was by far one of my favorite sandwiches although they are pricey, you can easily feed a party of four with a nice bag of chips on the side. We were blessed with being able to try the table sandwich. The focaccia was fresh along with the mozzarella and arugula. Since we made an online order which quoted us 45 minutes, our sandwich was ready in 20 so unfortunately, the chicken cutlet was not as fresh as we would've liked. Sidenote, the first day we attempted to order in person they quoted us an hour, so we decided to place an order of the following day. Highly recommend placing the order and staying local to be safe. Despite all the sandwiches, well worth the weight, just don't have high expectations for service We love the ambience of a little Italian market, and it was very well kept

We walked into a space that was tight and focused more on efficiency than lingering, with a setup that prioritized takeout flow and quick turnover rather than a sit-down meal. The energy was practical and purposeful, with a steady stream of customers moving through the counter and the kitchen working at a steady clip behind the line. The sandwiches are the main reason people come here, and they are designed to be large, heavy, and packed with layered ingredients. We ordered a few options and found the chicken cutlet sandwiches and Italian subs standing out for their size and richness, often stacked enough that one sandwich could easily turn into two meals. The bread and fillings were the highlight, with a strong focus on texture, freshness, and that over-the-top deli-style construction. The flavors were bold and the portions generous, making each sandwich feel like a meal in itself. There was also a clear "market-style" identity underneath the sandwich counter, with a curated selection feel that added to the overall concept. It was less about a wide menu and more about a few signature items executed at a very high level, and the focus on quality ingredients came through in every bite. The biggest tradeoff is the wait time and tight space, especially when it is busy. We noticed it could feel crowded and a bit chaotic during rush periods, which is part of the hype-driven nature of the spot. When it was quieter or we had planned ahead, the experience felt much smoother and more enjoyable. The staff moved through orders efficiently, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, Table Mercato is a heavy, indulgent sandwich destination that lives up to its reputation if you are specifically going for stacked Italian-style subs. It is less of a casual drop-in spot and more of a planned stop for when you want something big, rich, and intentionally over-the-top.

We walked into a simple counter-service space with limited indoor seating, the kind of place that feels more like a grab-and-go stop than a sit-down lunch spot. Even with its small footprint, there was a steady stream of customers coming in for one of the signature sandwiches, and the energy of the room stayed practical and focused on getting orders out efficiently. The lobster roll is the clear standout. We ordered one and found it generously filled with lobster meat, making it feel substantial compared to many other lobster rolls around the city. Whether you choose it hot with butter or cold with mayo, the focus stays on the lobster itself rather than overwhelming it with extra ingredients. The toasted roll added just enough texture without taking away from the filling. Although the lobster roll gets most of the attention, the rest of the menu offers plenty of options if seafood is not what you are looking for. There are oversized sandwiches, soups like clam chowder, and classic sides that make it easy to find something for different tastes. The portions are generous overall, making the prices feel reasonable considering the amount of food you receive. The service was quick and efficient, which fits the fast-paced counter-service concept. The staff moved through orders with speed, and the food came out without much delay. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the limited seating, especially during lunch hours or peak tourist seasons in the North End. If the dining area is full, taking your food to go or finding a nearby outdoor spot can be a better option. Overall, Pauli's is a great stop if you are looking for a satisfying lobster roll without an overly formal seafood restaurant experience. The generous portions, straightforward menu, and convenient location make it an easy place to visit while exploring the North End, especially if lobster rolls are at the top of your list.

I've eaten here before (it's a small area, but does have a lot of seating) but normally I get it as take out. The cafe itself is super casual, it's the perfect place to pop into during lunch or after a walk. My food is always ready on time which is nice, and when I've eaten there I'm usually able to find a seat. The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I've also gotten the eggplant parm before, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were also delicious. I've never had any of the sandwiches, but if they are anything like their pastas then I'm sure they are great! The bang for your buck here is also great which is nice. Highly recommend! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.
