Real crappy feeling about that. Busy day in there for sure. Went up to cash out area to get the check and the manager acted like a complete tool. Paid $75 for 2 sandwiches that were meh. A group of friends and I visited Three Dollar Deweys on a chilly weekend getaway to Portland. We had a great time here and the service was all around excellent, friendly and quick. We loved the warm and cozy vibe to the place as well. The food was overall very good, had a great appetizer with the sampler plate. A bunch of us got the Mac and Cheese bowl which was such great comfort food. Only meal that wasn't great was the BLT, which somewhat soggy. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. I think that the food is pretty good and the brussels sprouts are delicious! The drink prices are fair for the area. My problem is sometimes they are out of beers that I would like to try and the service is very hit or miss. I will still go back, but I probably won't bring my out-of-town friends anymore. read more

Given these days and times we can't take anything for granted and therefore you must make the most of things and max out on the quality time God has afforded you... Now, I pivot on my soapbox... Matt the bartender was stellar!!!!! He was quite busy when we sat down but is quite on the ball - attentive, professional, friendly and exemplary. Not only that, but he gave us the run down of things to do and see #theextramile! He's the stuff that "cheers" bars are made of! This is on my recommendation list for bar enthusiasts for sure. Heard about their gf fryer and bread options and was driving thru the area and had to check them out. Husband had the lobster roll on a gf bun and I had the Turkey club on gf bread and neither of those meals disappointed! The fries were amazing and we even got some to go. Excellent customer service and a very clean and nice inside. Ordered yhe burger Which was cooked perfectly and had an amazing grilled flavor. The bun was also toasted which made it even better. The pulled pork on the other hand was a little bit overcooked and the flavor was derived from barbecue sauce. Not sure what that was all about but I would not suggest the pulled pork sandwich. The bacon wrapped scallops were also very good along with the dipping sauce. The mango have an arrow dipping sauce was great which we got to try. read more

Once again another place I finally got back to since reopening! A ton of local on tap brews broken up into their respective categories. I had a traditional Blueberry "blue paw" by Sea Dogs and then a sparkling Blueberry from Lone Pine, first time, a fan and it's a sour as well. My wife and I started with the Nachos, with chicken. All good. I ended up following up with the Rueben Sliders, pictured here. It was soooo good! The wifey had a gluten free, burger! Yes gluten free. Those celiac folks out there... separate fryer for French Fries!! They are cooked perfectly. For my fellow first responders and military folks, 20% off the whole meal, drinks, everything!!! Just bring a military or first responder ID and poof there goes 20%, don't forget to tip on the whole amount Speaking of staff, everyone was chipper and obviously love their job. 3 stars for $3 Dewey's. I have been here twice now, and both times have been mid. First time I came here our service was slow, but it was pretty busy, so we didn't think twice about it. Last night we went around 6:30 and the restaurant was pretty dead, yet our service was exceptionally slow. It took 15 minutes for anyone to even come to see us, and then another 15-20 4 beers and a pitcher of water. When the waitress arrived with the 4 beers she couldn't remember which was a miller, which was a cider, and which 2 were the shipyard, SO SHE SMELLED THEM. Put her nose right up to them and then passed them out, and then to make matters worse, she was still wrong. If you are reading this, you were very nice but please don't put ur nose that close to something guests are about to drink, especially during covid/flu season. Anyways the food that finally came was mid, nothing special but not terrible. For the prices I would argue that the service needs to be a lot better, and the food needs to be marginally better. If I want shitty pub food I can get it for a lot cheaper elsewhere. We do love the big tables and the free popcorn though, as well as the overall atmosphere. We are on our annual Portland stop, on our way to Rockland, ME. We were hoping to see our favorite red-headed bartender, but lo and behold she is now our favorite blonde bartender! Krissy is the draw for us (nothing like a good bartender with great stories), but the food is great too. So far we've had the burger and wings and have not been disappointed. Next year we'll venture out more. The ambiance is so cozy and warm; 2 bars and lots of high top tables. The bar is a great for people watching and meeting new people. My husband and i just wanted to thank the bartender at the front bar today for making our wedding anniversary such an enjoyable time. We met in Three Dollar Dewey's so, of course, we had to come back in to celebrate! She greeted us with a light of personality immediately and was so helpful from the moment we sat down, to the moment we left, which, simply put, really made our special day. Deweys has the typical bar look, with a little twist- a popcorn machine right on the door. I don't eat popcorn but think it's a nice touch... We came in looking for a drink and we got to chose from tons of beers, bunch of wines, cocktails and seltzer. As a snack we tried the Thorn's basket filled with fried cheese curds which satisfied immediately my cheese's obsession for the day. The Habanero honey sauce is to die for. (Now when I'm checking Dewey's website - to name items we enjoyed in the bar correctly, I see we didn't get offered a third page of the food menu that contains tons of Vegetarian/Vegan food options! I'm not sure if these items are available at the bar or the service just assume that it's unnecessary to offer. But if you're into vegetarian/vegan food it's totally worth to ask for the third page!
