Had a lovely meal with my family here on Saturday. We were the only ones there by the time we finished which was funny but there was nothing to complain about as far as service and quality of food. Post-holiday quiet period must have been to blame. Six people all had a different dish and everyone was very happy with what they received. Generous portions and great seasoning. The wine list was nice and long as they also sell wine "to go" like a wine shop. The printed list could use an update of vintages and descriptions but that was about the only negative I had. I'm giving this restaurant an overall 3.8 stars. It was selected by a traveled local as the place in town for this foodie/wine connoisseur and son to join her for dinner, which says much about our local's opinions of the restaurant, which I think is a fair call. I like the restaurant. Service is very fine. Lauren was our host and waited on us. She's the matriarch. The restaurant is operated and staffed by an extended family. This Saturday night we met the patriarch and matriarch, a daughter, new grandchild, and a son-in-law who was the chef and dishwasher du jour! The family affair lent a feeling of extra attention and care, but there were not many diners at 6:30 pm, nor many people in town at all. Needed bread and butter service, as it is notably missed. Food was fine. Two in our party ordered ribeye steaks, one ordered stroganoff. Stroganoff was good. Steaks were lightly smoked and cooked to order, and were spot on. Vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, and brussels sprouts) were perfect. Brussels sprouts w/ bacon, cashews, cranberries and balsamic reduction done perfectly and recommendable. Mashed potatoes were fabulous. They were running out of vegetables at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Would like to have tried the lamb. Am advised the trout needs some modifications. Trout Almandine with butter and lemon sauce is an idea. Dessert was mint cheesecake and also bread pudding. Both delicious with cream sherry. Coffee was good. The wine selection was sparse, but serviceable if you know what you're looking at. Good wine is expensive to stock, but a good wine list is imperative in a restaurant like this. Even at this stage of the restaurant's evolution the wine selection needs amping up. I failed to look at the beer side of the offerings. Charming restaurant with huge potential. Decor is terrific. They're just getting started, but the place is recommendable to keep trying. I'd love to have dinner sometime when a live band is in the house. I hope the proprietor can look perhaps to Jackson restaurants and those who supply there to avail themselves of all to fully stock and supply this restaurant, then to add extra cook staff and kick this restaurant up two more notches! Give them a try and a chance, Yelpers! It takes patronage and some customer love to help these new ventures become successes. Running restaurants is tough business. read more

Excellent new restaurant that the owners started out as a wine shop. In the five weeks we spent in Driggs this summer we had one lunch and one dinner here. For dinner my wife had the rack of lamb and I had the pork chop and we both agreed that our meals were very good. Definitely see some potential here and will certainly go back again next time we are in town. read more

The food here was fantastic! To start, we had the butternut ravioli appetizer and cranberry bread - both were exceptional. The table had elk tips, beef tips, salmon, and spaghetti with elk meatballs. Everything was delicious! For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake, the creme brulee, and the skillet cookie. All were great, but if I had it to do over again, I would definitely go for the skillet cookie. This was the best food we had over the course of an 11 day, 4 state family road trip. In a small beautiful town, this restaurant adds more perks to your visit. Food here is amazing and service is even better. I tried their salad, french onion soup, and home made chips with cheese and everything was so delicious. They make everything from scratch and you can tell its really fresh. 3 Peaks is a really special place that we discovered by accident, because we were recommended to go to a different restaurant that turned out to be too loud. We stumbled in on a Friday night and the place was not crowded as we soon discovered it should have been. There was live music and an older gentleman with a sweet voice playing Bob Dylan covers on guitar. We ordered truffle potato chips with goat cheese dill dressing, a roasted rainbow trout and a beat risotto that was better than any risotto we have ever eaten. The trout was perfectly prepared, with an intense flavor that was surprising. The portions are substantial, so much so that we took food to go. We stopped in here on a Friday night a week or two ago and didn't have a good experience. When we walked in we stood up front for about 7 minutes before anyone came up to talk to us. Looking around while we were waiting we noticed that only 1 table out of about 9 had food and maybe 2 had drinks. Not a good sign. When someone finally did come up to greet us they blurted at us it was about a 45 minute wait before even saying hello. Maybe staff correctly for a Friday night so that you don't only have 1 person working the front and back? A very bad impression and we won't be going back if we pass through this area again. The food and atmosphere made our first night in the valley truly perfect. To start, the beer and wine list had something for everyone which was nice considering my fiancé and I have polar opposite tastes when it comes to libations. From there we had the mussels, olive bread, and garlic bread as starters and they absolutely got the meal started on the right foot. It took over 1 hour to get our food here tonight (only five tables in the place), but there was also only one server acting as hostess and answering phones. She took a call while at our table. We ordered garlic bread as an appetizer and after 30 min I asked the server if we could get our bread first, and the response was, I'll ask.". When I asked if she could describe the only cider they had on the menu, the response was, "No because I haven't tried it". Btw, the cider was delicious!!! The food was overpriced. Ribeye $28 was bland and Brussel sprouts were very undercooked (and I like crunchy). I've eaten here before with a better experience. I love the looks of this place and I don't want them to fail. Hoping the owners read this and take these comments as constructive criticism. This was our 34 year anniversary dinner and it was disappointing. Even getting the bill took way too long. read more

Great food and absolutely amazing service. The chef cooked one of the best Loaded Mac and cheeses I have ever had. Bacon, blue cheese, spicy sausage, and lots of cheesy flavor in the cheese sauce. It's definitely not in your norms for macaroni and cheese because it was loaded with all kinds of extras! They have a good craft beer selection and a variety of wines by the glass. It's good to find a treasure of a restaurant like this in a small town like Driggs. I also had the lamb stroganoff, and although I am not a normal fan of noodles, but I absolutely loved the flavor coming from the lamb. Don't miss out on the potato chips either, I believe our server said they came from Idaho Potatoes! I came back the next week for another order of Mac and cheese, it was that good!! Definitely worth the 4 hour drive from Utah and I will be visiting again. read more

Chef Steve Murphey catered a large family dinner for us on a recent trip to Jackson Hole. It could not have been easier to work with Chef Murphy. For about the effort it takes to make a restaurant reservation, Steve suggested, planned, prepared, served and cleaned up an incredible meal in our condo for 10 including those with special diets. It was SO much nicer than getting everyone out to door to a restaurant and the food was some of the best we have ever had. A great value compared to dining out as well. Just happened to stop on our way through Driggs and were pleasantly surprised. The mussels were cooked in a white wine sauce and were fabulous. The pureed mushroom soup was seasoned perfectly. We walked into Three Peaks just a few minutes before they closed, desperate to grab a quick bite since everything else in town had closed. Our server, Melissa, was so sweet and welcomed us into the empty restaurant. She ran back to the kitchen to ensure the chef wasn't closing up shop yet. We ordered the mussels, spicy pork flatbread, and trout tacos. Everything was fantastic. We sat and enjoyed a few glasses of wine over our meal and visited with our awesome server, Melissa. As we were finishing up, the head chef, Justin, came out and visited with us. Such a great guy. He then surprised us with an apple bread pudding -- a new recipe that wasn't quite on the menu yet. It was lunch time and we were passing through Driggs ID and found Three Peaks Dinner. I had a hamburger and chips, my wife and daughter had vegetarian. All the food was very good, the chips were exceptional. Chips seems inadequate to describe them. The potato was sliced the long way into thick slices and fried golden brown, delicious. It is Idaho. The décor was amazing, it was built in 1893 and still has the original pressed tin ceiling and hard wood floors. One of the owners, Dave served us and we had a pleasant conversation about the local area. read more

I had such high hopes for this place but time after time it has been a let down. I may visit for breakfast again but that's it. Their breakfast sandwiches and burritos are good. Dinner was expensive and just ok, and when I spend over a hundred bucks for dinner for 2 it better knock my socks off! I got the pork chop with kraut and it was not awful but the pork was dry and had no flavor on its own. It came with just steamed maybe sauteed plain carrots and a twice baked potato. The potato looked and tasted like a frozen twice baked potato heated in the microwave. I am a potato eating fool and did not want to eat more than a bite of this one. My husband got a big rib-eye. Though we thought that a smoked steak did not sound like a proper way to cook steak he decided to not be closed minded and try it. One bite was good the rest was over-kill smoke flavor that totally ruined this beautiful cut of meat. I've since had their smoked steak served on a roll as a sandwich and it was good served like that, not as an entree steak. Best part of the dinner would be the appetizer veggie quesadilla, can't really mess that up except that I'm pretty sure that the waitress grabbed someone else's order since she came back with less than a minute after us ordering it saying how funny it was that she hadn't even put the order in and it was ready. Staff is super nice, but not good wait staff. We waited forever to be helped then got food with no silverware and had to ask for it twice before getting any. read more
