What an experience. When you know the "why" behind something it completely changes the experience. It definitely makes you feel more connected. We arrived at 6:45 and the other 6 people were there on time as well so we all walked up with the hostess. When you walk in, it's very nostalgic. They have an old tv playing movies and other memorabilia. There are two couches to sit on and we were given a sparkling rose for the happy hour. We all sat and chatted until they started calling us in one group at a time. When you enter the dining/kitchen area, the seating is set up in groups of two and we all faced the kitchen. Chef Jay explained how the evening would go and then someone came around to take the orders- add ons, etc. There is some really cool art work and it was fun to watch the chefs at work. As I said earlier, the stories behind the food give it so much more texture. Not only is the food great, you're understanding why you're sitting there eating that particular course. Everything we ate was so flavorful and balanced. My favorites were the oyster and the drumstick. The oyster was huge and meaty and everything the chef added complimented it. The drumstick was absolutely fantastic. The chicken skin was crispy and caviar was the perfect topping. Chef Jay is certainly talented! The only thing I would change is offering drinks by the glass. You can only add on the wine tasting at this time. Chef Jay said this was a new wine selection that he curated himself. We really enjoyed some of them and felt they really balanced the particular dish. You want to experience this.

My husband and I finally got to see this place and how amazing was it. We did the 6 course meal and it was a splendid experience. The head chef told his story through the plates. Naveah maître d' was on top of it and the sommelier was super knowledgeable. There were only 10 seats available which makes it a very intimate experience. The only one thing I will say is was it was pretty cold in the place so bring a jacket! Definitely interested going back for the 11 course menu!

I want to start off by saying that please do not be deterred by my rating! If i could i would do a 3.5/5! To start: such a great and neat experience! I definitely recommend it. It's unique, intimate and warm. Chef and his staff are absolutely welcoming, professional and kind. The setting is charming and quiet. Very well put together! The food was good, some items were delicious and other items were okay. What really upset me the most was the wine pairing. I do not recommend adding this on. Approximately $120 (6 glasses). The price wouldn't have been such a big deal if the wine served was actually good and if the pours were actually full not just 3oz pours. Sorry but not even NAPA wineries charge $120 for tastings! On-top of that, they paired the dessert course with Roscato (literally a $10 bottle you can find at any grocery store). I highly recommend going to wineries and snagging wine bottles that can only be bought at the winery. And to add, two of the six tastings did not pair well with the course, the wine tasted bitter after. I was extremely disappointed in that and thats the main reason im leaving a 3 star review.

I've never had a better meal in my life and I've eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the world. Chef manages to source the most fresh and local food and serve it to you in a way that is so non pretentious. It blows my mind how he can make food taste. It's an absolute treat for the senses. Service is only 8 people in a room and there's only four people serving you.

Three Three Seven is hands down the best meal of my life. We did the Six at Seven and every course felt like a story, Chef Jay Fernell, a Louisiana native, combines southern soul food that have meaning to him growing up with California freshness in a way that's both comforting and elevated. The intimate setting (just eight seats a night) makes it feel like you're part of the magic, watching him finish each dish right in front of you while sharing the inspiration behind the flavors. Six courses later, I left full and happy. This isn't just dinner, it's an experience I'll be dreaming about until I come back. Pro tip: add the wine pairing. The sommelier there has really done well with making the wine and food pop!

I wanted something different and special for my boyfriend's birthday. We've done the usual suspects -- Addison, Callie, Mister A's, etc. -- and while they're all great, I was looking for more of an experience. I turned to Reddit, and Three Three Seven came highly recommended. The atmosphere is cozy, personable, and elevated. It feels like dining with friends you've never met, all gathered for something special. With no more than 8-10 seats, it's intimate in the best way. The food was delicious and intentional, but watching the chefs prepare each course was the real treat. Every dish came with an explanation of the inspiration and the personal stories that shaped each bite. It was a memorable, glorious evening. Now we're looking for a Saturday table!

Overall the experience was amazing. Ambiance was cool, service was awesome, and the food was phenomenal. I really enjoyed the chefs story behind every dish and the upgrade options. My only complaint was the wine. I felt like it was lackluster, wines you would buy at Total Wine and More. For the price I would have expected better quality. The food was by far the stand out!!

This dining experience was truly the highlight of our trip. Honestly, I almost don't want to leave a review because I know it'll just make it harder to get a reservation... but it's too good not to share. Chef Jay is incredible. The whole experience feels like you're dining in someone's chic loft in Soho, New York with black walls, wood floors, and seating for only eight guests at a time. It's intimate, unique, and unlike anywhere else. Every dish was absolutely delicious, and Chef Jay personally explains each one, which makes it even more special. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail was unmatched. Huge thanks to Chef Jay and the entire team for making us feel so at home. We can't wait to come back and we're already looking forward to the fall menu!

The best restaurant in San Diego! We came for our anniversary and it was amazing. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and unique in the best way. The chicken skin with caviar was one of the best things I've ever had. Chef Jay is great and we can't wait to come back in the near future and try their Fall menu!

Eddie, our server was friendly, with just the right amount of humor and very attentive. He described dishes and offered a hot sauce that was HOT! The Shrimp Bourbon Street was tasty, lots 'o shrimp, yummy dipping sauce, a perfect combo with Seafood Gumbo, to finish off my meal. The Seafood Bisque-appetizer and the Shrimp and Grits meal seemed to satisfy my husband. Our friends ordered Crawfish Etouffee and the Cajun Jambalaya, which were a hit. We commented that there might be some take-home, but it was not to be, the food was consumed on the premises. Our finishing touch of Beignets covered in the powdered sugar and coulis sauce was the perfect finale to our very enjoyable meal. We ate in the dining room, which was busy, but not noisy, and as mentioned , the service was excellent (Eddie) , and patio seating is available. Parking is convenient, so there is every reason to visit Bud's as soon as possible. See ya soon!

The owner, Bud is from the French Quarter and he makes all the meals and desserts right here. The best. Our server was very attentive, which was especially nice since we were among the first customers there. A few things to note: there is a 90-minute dining limit, and everyone at the table shares the same seafood bag, so your group will need to agree on one sauce flavor per round. We only made it through two rounds, but everything we ordered was delicious. The fries were crispy, and the mussels, shrimp, and clams were all meaty. The sauce was flavorful and complemented the seafood well. We finished the meal with the fried Oreo and ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending. We'd definitely come back again for the AYCE experience!

Half of the shrimp and crawfish we had were dead, so the taste and texture wasn't there. The clams and mussels were very sandy. The sauce was good but medium spice didn't have any kick at all but the next flavor was "atomic" which is very intimidating (I regret not trying the next level up though). Plus the service was slow and parking is terrible. My favorite items were the lemon pepper wings, quail eggs, and Cajun fries though lol

We were able to get a parking spot right out front and got a table right away. They have a nice menu with traditional Cajon dishes. It came with a roasted beef sandwich, jambalaya and fries (we got sweet potato fries and they were so good with brown sugar). We also ordered their wings with Cajun rub - they were so flavorful even without any dipping sauce - but parm garlic sauce was really good). I placed my order through the ChowNow platform and arrived to pick it up, only to find out that the restaurant staff was completely unaware the order had been received. Because the order was never sent to the kitchen, I had to wait additional time while it was prepared. The bigger issue was the food itself. I ordered Combo 3, which states it includes 1 lb of clams, but there were very few clams in the bag--certainly nowhere near what I expected. In addition, there were no sausages at all and only 1-2 small potatoes included. Mistakes happen, but between the ordering issue and the missing ingredients, the meal did not match what was advertised. I hope the restaurant improves both its order management process and quality control.

We came on a weeknight in January and easily found parking out front. The restaurant is more of a bungalow, and it's quiet and really pretty on the outside. There is a door on the left of the stairs that leads to a small, old timey dining room, and it's going to be weird...I'll warn you about that. When you open the door, it feels like you just walked in on someone's private dinner party. It's super quiet in there and it's just a bunch of tables. No host/hostess. You seat yourself if there's a table. A server comes in and out of the room to serve the tables. The Mac and cheese was meh, we ordered it for a toddler. The crawfish étouffée was so good, they did not skimp on crawfish. I like it a little spicier, but this was what I needed. I would definitely come back here! If it's a cold night, dress accordingly, this bungalow is not insulated and the server comes in and out, so it was freezing. Can't imagine the heat in summer, but the food is worth it.

The Cajun fries held their own too. Prices are fair, actually a bit cheaper than comparable spots in SD, and the space itself is large, clean, and nice inside. We were seated quickly with no wait. That said, a few things brought the experience down. The staffing was clearly not enough for the volume of guests -- as the night picked up, service noticeably slowed, and it felt like the waiters were stretched thin through no fault of their own. That's a management issue. The sausage portion options are oddly limited too -- only a half pound or full pound, nothing in between, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. Biggest miss: the calamari. One bite and I was done -- it had "frozen grocery store bag" written all over it. Skip it entirely. The garlic bread is in the same boat, obviously store-bought, though it's passable enough. Stick to the seafood boil, avoid the appetizers, and hope you visit on a well-staffed night.

For dessert, I had the peach cobbler. The flavor was really good and comforting, but I would've liked a little more juice in it. It would also be great if they offered an option to heat the cobbler, which would take it to another level. Interior is cute , screams New Orleans.
