If you like soft serve and happened to be in the area, this is a place to visit. It does have specialty items to select. The place is small inside with sofa seating and a few tables; there is also outside seating as well. Four star rating is given since I didnt find any thing outstanding on the items or service.
10/10!!! Let me just say.... Who thinks of creme brûlée over ice cream!?!? Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! Kept it simple with vanilla ice cream and creme brûlée. Tried the banana oat milk and the one and they were ok, I feel like keeping it simple with the vanilla with creme brûlée was clutch. Service was quick and the staff super sweet. The decor inside is hilarious and perfect. Gonna have to add this to my rotation when I visit!
Can't stop thinking about how tasty the cookie butter creme brûlée was! Service was super fast and the ladies were very friendly. Definitely hope to go back for more soon.
Thrills has a parking lot behind their shop, but I didn't realize that it's now a QR code system where you have to pay. I like how they renovated their shop to add new seating. All of their desserts are very creative. I got the hojicha creme brûlée, which is one of my favorite things from here. The creme brûlée topping is so good and has the perfect amount of crunch on the top. The only bummer thing about the creme brûlée is that you can't get their weekly special flavors as the ice cream. This is definitely one of my go-to dessert shops after having dinner in the area.
I only tried one thing so I can only give my opinion on this; the banana oat milk flavor in chocolate cone! Yummy!!! I'm not even vegan or anything but it just sounded good. And wow was it delicious. Their flavors change so I made a good decision. It was light yet creamy and substantial. The crispy chocolate cone much like an Oreo, complemented the banana flavor so well. I wish I could go back for another! My son got the Japanese soda flavor with crème brulee topping and he enjoyed it. Owners were nice and patient when I was so indecisive. No one was waiting in line yet so. Oh and there was a sign that said no samples which is understandable, I don't really sample anyway, I like to gamble ha! It's cute in there with lots of signs. And my favorite color pink. Ample seating, beat the heat this summer with chill and Thrills!
Good soft serve for when you want a sweet treat. I got the ube with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I like that you can get a topping for free too. Really friendly staff.
Loved the warm greeting when I came in through the door. They answered my questions and let me know how ordering works: they have non dairy flavors on soft serve and pre frozen flavors for the premade crème brûlée. The soft serve can be made into a crème brûlée, no problem. I ordered the Nutella Oreo crème brûlée. They took 2 minutes in the back, and then torched the sugar at the counter. It was super cool! The egg custard was a sweet thin layer over the cold ice cream.
The crème brûlée cookie dough ice cream is dangerously good. The custardy crème brûlée flavor is rich and creamy without being too sweet, and the cookie dough pieces are generous and perfectly soft. The caramelized sugar notes add a subtle crunch and a deep, toasted flavor that takes it to another level. Every bite has a great balance -- smooth, indulgent ice cream with just the right amount of texture from the cookie dough. It tastes decadent but not heavy, which somehow makes you want to keep eating more. If you're a dessert person, this flavor is a must-try. I'd absolutely order it again.
I really enjoyed my experience here :) The worker that helped me was very kind and attentive in answering all my questions. I came for the Big Island Cookie collab ice cream and it was sooo good. The cookies infused with the soft serve reminded me of Kith Treats... I wish they kept it and that it wasn't limited to only a few days. The ube soft serve was very good too! I've tried it in soft serve form and in the Creme Brulee version. Both very good! Will definitely be back - the interior is super cute and they open later than other dessert places which caters to people like me - who come alive at night lol
We walked over for dessert after eating at Totoya across the street. It was my first time here even though I pass it all the time. There was a constant stream of customers for the 20 minutes that we were in the store. It's a cute ice cream shop with lots of catchy phrases on the walls. We decided on one of the popular combos, Sugar Baby $8.50. It contained sprinkles, teddy grahams, chocolate chips, Oreos, Cocoa Pebbles and Chocolate Pocky's. We had a choice of soft serve and we got the Oreo. We were expecting vanilla ice cream with bits of Oreos in it. However, the ice cream was just brown. It tasted like chocolate ice cream. The Sugar Baby wasn't bad. It was just too much chocolate for me. It would have been better if it was true Oreo ice cream. What caught my eye was the creme brûlée ice cream. Someone ordered that and it looked pretty dope. The ice cream was on the bottom and they blow torched some kind of sugary coating on the top until it hardened. I want to try that the next time I'm here.
This place has been here and while and I never stopped because I don't really love soft serve. Recently we went to dinner at a place nearby that didn't have any dessert options so we decided to try out Thrills. I had low expectations (again not a huge fan of soft serve) and thought it was mostly a place centered around Instagram foodie shots but I went when they had a special collab with Aiea bowl and offered a lemon crunch cake crème brûlée. I'm not kidding that I think it's one of the best desserts I've had in recent memory. Please please do this collab again, it was so good. My daughter got the ube soft serve sugar baby, she gave it a 10/10 on appearance and taste. Parking can be limited, the parking lot in the back was full when we went and so was street parking. So we had to wait for someone to leave, it only took a couple of minutes. Overall, nice setting, good place to fulfill your sweet tooth, and super cute aesthetic.
This was my first time trying out Thrills, and I really enjoyed it. The location is easy to find and convenient. There is an ally next to the shop with some parking. Ala Moana mall is also close enough to park at and walk over. The inside is clean with a good amount of seating. Staff members were very friendly and helpful with making my decision of what to get. I got the crème brûlée cosmic brownie ice cream. It was really good!
Thrills is my go-to restaurant for soft serve in town. Their vibe is playful, branding is fun, service is fast, and provide plentiful seating in and outside the restaurant. They have plenty of choices that include soft serve, sundaes, and lactos-free options. My go-to is the Cookie Butter Sundae with the banana oat-milk soft serve. A great choice if you are looking for ice cream or a nice cold treat in town.
One of the best Ice cream places in town. I'm a huge ube ice cream fan and I love the way they make theirs. Be sure to order the Ube pillows with that and fruity pebbles to top it off and you'll never be disappointed with it's artistic array of color and taste. Cute and aesthetic shop with lots of places to take pictures. I liked the concept of creme brûlée on top of soft serve. It was really difficult finding parking, I ended getting out of the car while my husband spun around. Might be easier to park at Ala Moana and walk, if you're not on a time crunch. Flavors and brûlée were okay. Portions are super small for the price and staff are not friendly or helpful. read more

Such a cute and original spot! The owners are really friendly and very patient. It was our first time there so we took a bit to figure out what we wanted and they were very helpful! There are so many photo opportunities (I love it!). Only down side to this area is the parking... the lot is very small and many places share this lot. Street parking is even more limited but it's alright. In regards to COVID, they are really good about having up to 4 people in the shop (unless the single party is more than 4). Everything was contact-less and I felt very safe. Awesome place! read more

Love the this cute pastel store front. A couple of my friends came across it and had to check it out. They have delicous and unique flavors that aren't too sweet. They have loads of toppings as well as a cool creme brulee option. I can't to stop by again. read more

I've been here a few times now with the same group of friends, which means we all really enjoy it here. Their soft serve and cones are yummy. I recently tried their ube latte, which was good but I'd definitely ask for light ice next time. We always park near the karaoke place behind the shop. read more

Another tourist review! I searched Google maps for the nearest ice cream shop during a craving and got completely spoiled with sweet treats from this place. The kid behind the counter wasn't very helpful with his answers when I asked questions like "what flavor is best with creme brulee?" or "what is one of the most popular flavors?" He gave great service though and I'm likely to return during my next vacation. read more

AH-MAAAAAAAZ-ING! I love a good ice cream place that is both tastes and aesthetically pleasing! I personally love their Nutella ice cream, but I'm always excited to try one of their new flavors they always have coming out. I'm also not a big Ube fan (please don't come for me, I'm warming up to it) but their ube ice cream and drink were pretty good, not too sweet and not to bland. The location is class to ala Moana, you could walk, but I'm lazy so I had to find parking. Parking is horrible to find, if your comfortable parking behind the building or on the street you definitely can! But very minimal parking, I recommend to just walk from ala Moana, that way you can take in the nice island town view. Highly recommend for all my ice cream lovers! read more
Funky little soft serve joint with a handful of non traditional flavors. The speculoos cookie flavor and lychee milk tea flavor were delicious. It actually didn't need the lychee flavor to pair with the milk tea, which would've been excellent on its own. The soft serve had a nice creamy texture as expected. read more

My girlfriend convinced me to come here knowing that we'll need to hit a bathroom soon after I indulge in this kind of thing. It was worth it, love that they have unusual flavors to choose from unlike the norm that you would find at some other places. Tonight they had a few options and we got the Oreo Cheesecake and the Strawberry Shortcake. Both very good, the only thing I wish they had was fresh fruit toppings but the teddy grahams weren't too shabby. Parking is limited to the street or the lot in the back but still a great place to hit after a meal at the surrounding restaurants or if you're at Ala Moana. Hopefully you live close by like me or you'll have problems if you're lactose intolerant :D read more
I don't know how I feel about this place. It's good but I don't think it will be anything I crave. The main selling factor is that it is instagramable with their walls and how they present their soft serve. It is quite expensive for what it is! I think I can't wrap around the fact that it is only soft serve and they are charging this much. They also don't have much flavors and there is no mix? Isn't the special thing about soft serve is that you can mix flavors ? They also charge for some toppings which is fine. Their regular toppings aren't anything special. Tucked away in a somewhat strange location to house a hip, dessert joint, Thrills is not your ordinary ice cream parlor. Parking is tough so we parked a couple of blocks away on the street. Not too bad of a walk at all. I decided to try their ube flavor with some frosted flakes as the topping. My parents tried the honey toast flavor with some Reece's pieces for topping. Both servings had the oreo cone. I tried the honey toast flavor and it pretty much tasted like a sweeter vanilla flavor. Not too impressed by that. But the ube! It was rich, creamy, and delicious. I would definitely go back just to have some more of the ube ice cream. The cone is different than any other ice cream cone I've had before. It is thinner than normal cones, crunchier, and more flavorful. TL;DR -- delicious ice cream. Definitely worth a visit. So this was cool! I just want to start off by saying there's tons of signage and if you don't want to be rushed probably scroll through the pictures and decide what u want before u get there or at least have an idea. Flavors are to the far right and then toppings are directly in front of u ... there's a sign about two types of cones or a cup and then another sign about house specialties. Anyway to make a long story short I didnt have enough time to look at everything and of course my kid and my husband made up their minds in 30 seconds!!! So I passed and I'm so glad I did. My husband got The Baddie and he only made it through half so I got the other half and it was more then enough. House specials are priced at about $9 and it's enough for two. Had I ordered my own I wouldn't have been able to finish it. My son got the caramel popcorn flavor soft serve with the charcoal cone and Cinnamon Toast Crunch topping. He loved the soft serve flavor but was not crazy about the cone. He ate all the ice cream out of the cone and then tried to pass the cone on to his father. It's Friday night and what better way to kick-off the weekend than to have soft serve ice cream! I love their place (Walking distance to my place! hurray!). It's small but it has enough tables and chairs, doesn't look crowded (or because we went there 7:30pm? haha!). The ambiance is very on trend -Very instagrammable. I also enjoyed their playlist while we chill there. There were 2 staffs when we got there. They were so nice and very helpful. It's our first time there so we had so many questions but they were still all smiles. I ordered Milk Tea soft serve ice cream. (I was influenced by my Yelp Elite Friend, Celine C. about this Milk Tea soft serve Ice cream.) Every soft serve ice cream goes with 1 free topping and I wanted Boba as toppings but they ran out. Luckily, the crew recommended the frosted corn flakes. Dang! It was good. Oh wait, it was great! The Milk tea soft serve really tastes like Milk Tea. It has that nice, strong tea taste that really lingers and it's creamy too. I love love love it! Plus the frosted flakes added texture to the soft serve ice cream.. so fun to eat! My husband ordered Rice Krispies treat. It was ok. It was too sweet because of the marshmallowy flavor. Still good though. The toppings he had was fruit loops btw. They also have loyalty stamp cards - if you buy 10, you'll get one free! Amazing! Overall, I enjoyed the place and I love love love the Milk Tea soft serve. You had me at black ice cream. Black being my favorite color and ice cream being the best pair of words in my vocabulary. One of the cutest ice cream shops you'll come across. Really, read the reviews. The decor is clean with cute (trying to refrain from using this word too much) backdrops...for the 'gram. Located near Ala Moana and right across a strip mall where a grip of restaurants are. Parking sucks, good luck hunting for one on the street. Staff is polite and kind. They're creative with their flavors and allow one free topping with your ice cream. I went for the black sesame with Frosted Flakes & my boyfriend got the ube flavor with mochi. The soft serve was nice and creamy and the taste was just right. Overall a cute experience, I'd probably come again. I do wish they had more flavors though read more

All compliments well. It will not just give you an instagrammable shots but a comfortable ambiance as well. My husband & our friends love it big time. ~ What else I do love in this place? Dang! They're taste of music! They really had cool playlist which we enjoyed so much. The reason why I downloaded Dancing Queen covered by Daelcom! Made me groove while enjoying licking my soft ice cream . ~ Ube & Milk tea are the flavors that we chose for our soft ice cream. By the way, they got free taste on each flavor w/c make this ice cream parlor cool. By far, we super love it. Especially the milk tea flavor! Can't get over on it. It really gave you the satisfaction of the flavor. So creamy & flavorful. I choose lucky charm as my topping w/c is free. Add more, and it will cost you $.50 each topping. Choose from cup or cone. (refer attached photo for the price) ~ The staffs are friendly so far. Price is a bit high though. Don't forget to bring cash. This is a very grammable and cute little soft serve shop. It's located directly across from Ninjiya market and parking can be difficult if you come at busy times. The shop is pretty minimalistic and they have a few flavors of soft serve of the day. They offer a few selection of cereal toppings and if you want mochi or marshmallow topping it's extra. Overall I'd say people come here really for the aesthetics because the ice cream was underwhelming to say the least. If you want great ice cream I'd go elsewhere. But if you want to have some really cool Instagram photo opportunities then this is a good place for it. read more

I totally get it if you think this is just for the 'gram, but Thrills has some serious flavor to back it up. It's expensive for ice cream at ~$7 for a cone, but totally worth it. Treat yo'self. I had ube ice cream in one of their chocolate cones, with an Oreo topping. The ice cream has a rich flavor and texture, and the cone's structure stands up to the ice cream in addition to also being very tasty! Unashamedly, I'll admit I ate a whole cone to myself (they're huge) but you could easily split this with a friend as dessert. Or a snack. Thrills has my vote, you definitely want to give this place a try. read more
Mmmm. Great place for some ube ice cream! The ube is by far my favorite but offer so many different flavors you wouldn't see at other ice cream shops. They are very instagram able. Many colorful and fun walls to take pictures with. All their ice creams are colorful and they put toppings on in a very flattering manner. I'd recommend putting the toasted heart marshmallow or the graham cracker teddy bears. The service is also great. Super helpful and super friendly. This place is legit!! I drove by and wondered what this place was! Decided to make an impromptu stop at this ice cream shop on the way. I went in and loved the simple yet Instagrammable decor! What really drew me in were the flavors (they change every month). I sampled the ube and mango, but decided on the Ube. I got it in a vanilla chocolate brown butter waffle cone (FRESH one at that!). You get one free topping, so I asked them what they recommend. The employee suggested ube cookie or fruity pebble, so I went with the fruity pebbles. It was delish!! That combo hit all the right notes. The fresh waffle cone with the creamy ube soft serve, all topped with the crunch of the fruity pebbles? Yum!!! Such a cool idea. Delicious! Now Parking, we parked across the street despite the parking lot signs. But the area is so busy I felt like we went unnoticed. Careful crossing the street! Now let's get to the treats, the menu was easy to read and understand. And the creative choices for flavors and toppings were awesome. The instagram showed some custom cones.... which unfortunately some of the toppings online were not actually available. We loved the sitting area inside as well as the photo ops provided. Only thing I'm curious about... lol, the food coloring used for the black cones. Had an interesting bright green exit a day later LOL. read more

Decided to check out this hip looking soft serve venue. I noticed Thrills in passing earlier in the week and decided to check out the pictures and reviews here on Yelp. The Ube soft serve caught my eye. I tired. I decided to wait for the weekend to try it out. Just a heads up there is either metered street parking or there is also a pay parking lot in the back. So make sure you have change either way. FlaVors are posted on the wall to the right of the counter. Ube seemed to be the most popular flavor. My heart was set on trying the ube soft serve. You have a choice between cup or cone. They have 2 different flavored waffle cones, both are vanilla cones but one is cocoa vanilla. You then choose your flavor and then you can get 1 cereal topping or honey grahams . It's an additional cost for extra toppings. When it was my turn to order, I picked out the cocoa vanilla waffle cone and ube soft serve, but they had run out. They had to refill the machine to make a new batch which I was told it would take about 20 minutes. So I decided not to order anything for myself. Although I didn't get to have my own cone, I was able to try some from a friend who ordered and I'll have to admit, the ube was creamy goodness! The crew was nice, the venue was very clean and they had very cute decor. Wooden benched seats along the wall and stool like seats as well with small tables so patrons can sit inside to enjoy their soft serve. I will definitely go back to get a cone of my own. read more
Cute new dessert place! Stumbled upon it on our way to Taste Tea for dessert. Glad we came here instead! They have the most adorable decor and the soft serve ice cream is not too sweet at all! They had only 4 flavors and they said they'll be changing them every week. We each had a different flavor so we can try them all. They had ube, bday cake, fruity pebbles, and oreo. You can either have it in a cup or in their almond cone for $1 extra. They give one free topping, then the rest are 50cents additional. Their ube cookie topping is yummy! Warning - Their almond cone is black...so it will kinda give your lips and teeth a gray "dead" look. Lol! read more

Mehhhh. Just like a lot of the 1/2 star reviews, customer service was lackluster. Maybe cause we came 45 min before closing but who doesn't come get dessert after dinner? I showed my bf their TikTok's after we left & he was shocked that it was the same people that helped us. Didn't get greeted & pretty much just stared at while deciding to order. Super awkward and felt rushed. We try & show up for local people but when you're an owner & you're behind the counter, you should show up too esp if you're so bubbly and charismatic for the cameras. Seems fake now. Ice cream was alright, price was pretty decent for Hawaii as well but not worth the trouble of finding parking & going out of the way to. read more

This was the first time I've had Ube ice cream! I love everything Ube and I thought "Ube ice cream would be amazing!" and here at Thrills it didnt disappoint! Not only is their ice cream beautifully made they have top notch customer service! Because this was my first time they were very friendly and explained their rotating menu. As well as the prices for their toppings. If you get the cereal toppings like Fruitty Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc it is included in the price. If you want their giant marshmallows and more curious toppings they are an additional dollar. I had a great time relaxing in their AC and eating their delicious ice cream. Especially because the temperature outside was 92 degrees! read more
So excited that soft serve is making its mark in Hawaii!! I have been waiting for Thrills to open for some time, I'm so glad they finally found a shop and opened up! They are known for their modest flavor selection and black waffle cones! The inside decor is perfect for those instagrammable moments, decorated with a flower wall and clean white decor with pink pillows. We ordered the Ube soft serve with a free topping, I chose coconut flakes. They have new flavor for every couple of weeks, they had birthday cake recently and this week they have Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Soft serve is delicious, you can actually taste the Ube flavor! Was eating soft serve from here a thrilling experience? It was nice to try, but nah. Thrills is located on the west side of Pi'ikoi next to Ichiriki and across from eggs and things/nijiya/chodang. You can either park on the street in front of the shop, behind the shop in a paid lot, or be frugal like me and park in the ewa wing of Ala Moana and walk over. If you're looking for the flower wall that you see all over your insta feed, it'll be on your left side, and if you're looking for seating, look everywhere else. Since it is still hyped up, there's always a line, but it goes by fast. Soft serve is reasonably priced at $6.28 (w/ tax) for a soft serve in a cone + one free topping (a cereal topping of your choice). One of the other toppings will cost you $0.50 and premium toppings will cost you $1 each. Two flavors will change every week, and I recommend looking at @thrillshnl to see what they are. Ube and milk tea are staples here, so they won't go anywhere :) I tried the ube soft serve and white bunny during my latest visit here. The ube was milky with hint of ube, and the white bunny was closer to vanilla than it was to tasting like the white rabbit candy. The white bunny also melted super fast. Even so, it was filling, and I can't complain. But at this point, I can rank ube soft serve on the island: 1. Ubae 2. Somisomi 3. Second time here. I wanted to try their July flavors. I got the Reese's PB in a pink cone. The flavor was delicious, but the cone was stale, I bit into it and it was soft. I ate all my ice cream thou. I told the staff about my cone so they gave me a fresh cone and I got to choose another flavor of ice cream! I chose the Ube! It is now my favorite!! Talk about ig worthy shots- this spot located right around what looks like a strip club offered a variety of soft serve ice cream flavors. You step in and immediately want to take photos at the colorful and eye catching back drops. Although I only tried two- the egg nog and Ube, the consistency and flavors were good. I opted to order the ube because the egg nog was a little too sweet for my tastebuds and a serving of fhe ice cream night put me in a diabetic coma. The ube had just the right flavor without having it taste too artificial ( though who knows if it's made w real flavors), creamy, and not icy- a factor I find a lot of places have that really kills the soft serve vibe when doing flavors besides the traditional vanilla and chocolate. *****5 stars***** Y U M M Y!!! On a whim, my boyfriend & I decided we wanted to get ice cream & I was literally just scrolling through yelp earlier bookmarking places I wanted to try. So that's how we ended up at Thrills, lol. We came around 8:15pm, wasn't too busy. Very cute interior, I loved the neon signs & the adorable flower wall!! We ordered right away, but it took us a second to figure out what we wanted, lol. I was debating between the mango and ube, but finally decided with the ube because I can't resist ube. My boyfriend got the same. We absolutely loved the ube soft serve!! It wasn't too overpowering, it had just enough flavor. But putting the fruity pebbles on top really topped it off & emphasized the flavor, so glad I picked that as my topping. The cone was actually one of the best cones I've ever had. Nice flavor, super thick & crunchy. My boyfriend really enjoyed the combo, too. Which I was glad because my bf is very picky at times. The only thing I have to say about this place is that it is a bit pricey for an ice cream cone, but I think it's pretty worth it for your occasional "treat yourself" moments. Overall, this place is great & I will definitely be back. Only one thing I would add, the floor was a bit sticky & dirty (probably from people's ice creams dripping), so making sure that is tended to would be my only suggestion to ensure customer satisfaction! Cute soft serve place with IG walls! They accept debit cards, but only if you purchase $10 or more...so my BF and I had to get our own soft serve. Shucks! Haha, just kidding. The staff were friendly and the shop was cute! read more
So yummy!! I love and ice cream and Thrills definitely hits the top in my favorite ice cream shops in Oahu. My boyfriend enjoyed the ube and oreo ice cream. Toppings are average ones but goes well with any flavor. Ice cream flavors are limited, but it seems they have a new type of flavor very often. The shop's decor and setting is a cute place to take pictures! Very girly yet welcoming. Parking is a little hard to find. There is street parking available or you can park across the street in Ala Moana's parking lot. read more
