Came here on a Friday night and was immediately seated. The waiter was quick to get our drinks and food order in, but he did not return until our food arrived. The wait time for our food was pretty long for two pizzas and wings. I thought the pizzas were cooked just right and my party thought the wings were tasty too. On another note, the lights in the restaurant kept flickering throughout the entire visit and it was really distracting and uncomfortable. It was like strobe lights in a club. Great local b&g with great food, friendly service and plenty of tvs for your viewing pleasure. We sat bar side, had a few cocktails, wings, fries, queso, and a very underrated salsa. Wing flavors were in point, I'd say the TZO is medium and pretty much in line with what you'd expect from a Buffalo style wet sauce. Mango habanero has great flavor, nice bite at the end. The thunder dip was ok, wouldn't get it again but the chips and salsa was awesome, hard to stop eating those. Only reason I kept it at 4 were the restrooms, they need a little more attention and freshening up. ThunderZone is worth a stop, family friendly with a great menu for multiple palates. read more

Zero stars Absolutely terrible. Waited 20 minutes to be served, another 40 after they took our drinks to refill and never got our food after 1.5 hrs. No one in the whole place was motivated to offer good service. Manager was unapologetic, didn't attempt to take care of us, or make it right in any way. Can't comment on the food never got it!! Decent place to come hang out, drink and eat. The food isn't exceptional but it's pretty good. The drinks were great. We were a group of about 12 people. So I can't exactly remember what everyone ordered. But I'll try: I ordered the el diablo personal pizza which was hot as advertised but not spicy. So I liked it but I would've preferred a multitude of spice layers leading to a "spicy" adverb for this pizza. There were burgers which were good and calzones which were excellent. We also ordered the Wristo's creation wings which were delicious and I highly recommend. The fried pickles were great too!! Among the drinks, I got a Moscow mule that I was happy with. We did a few shots that included a green tea one and something else. I know this isn't a super helpful review but overall, this is a nice place to have fun! read more

Decent sports bar, but the location it self is nothing memorable. Had the chicken wing with TZO sauce. Wings were nicely fried and the sauce had a good tang to it. Very similar to franks wing sauce. I also had the philly cheesesteak. The meat was good, tender and it is a generous portion. This is served on french bread and topped with beer cheese sauce (a little bit on the salty side) and it comes with french fries. Overall good but I might have just been really hungry. My dad had been talking about this place for a long time and this was the first place he took me out to try during my visit. I expected loud, obnoxious, and mediocre food (like most college places) with a giant beer menu. It was clean and nicely decorated, and though it was late they seated us with smiles and nice cold beers - I had a local beer I had never heard of that was really delicious. We ordered queso and a pizza - both very good (not the best I've ever had but tasty and worth the price). No complaints about the number of pizza toppings, either, which is a special pet peeve of mine (when there are three pieces of pepperoni per pizza). Service was terrible. We went for wing Wednesday and turns out they got rid of it. They now have buy one get one free so I ask for 6 wings so a total of 12 and they instead bring me double of what I ordered. I bring it up to the waitress and she was rude to us. She explained how it works but failed to do that before we ordered. I asked for the manager and the manager was also rude. Wasn't even open to hear what we were trying to tell her. Spent some time Arguing with the manager because she refused to take the time to listen. We also ordered fries and came out 20 minutes after our food came out. The manager had some excuse saying they were busy (we've seen it busier in the past and the service wasn't bad like that). When we walked out the place was about the same busy but the manager was sitting with some guy drinking a beer and had some bottle. The worst service I have ever had. This is now a place I won't go to anymore. It's sad because I really did used to like this place. They did discount part of the food but because the attitude and service was bad I will take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a neighborhood sports bar adjacent to the CSU campus. Staff is attentive, beer, appetizers, pizza and wings reasonably priced. AMY was great - took my order, made sure that the wings got there first and then the calzone came hot with marinara. The beer list is impressive for a small place, with lots of Colorado brews, the usuals and some un-usuals. The chocolate cream stout was tasty, not too heavy and went well with the wings and calzone - half of which I'll have for lunch tomorrow. It's not fancy, but if you want good beer, pizza, wings and great service, this is a place to get a quick meal or sit down with friends and watch a game on their big screens. I eat here almost every Thursday night. The $2 beer keeps me coming back and half price appetizers. It's bar food. Nothing exceptional, but always better than the chain restaurants. I always get horrible service at chain restaurants in this town. This place seems to get some decent wait staff. My husband and I went to thunder zone tonight for a quick bite to eat. Only ordered apps as we weren't very hungry to start. Ordered the fried cheese and the thunder dip. The fried cheese came out burnt and only 7 slices so we couldn't even split the order. The marinara sauce that came with the cheese was ok but not really hot. The thunder dip was bland and didn't have enough sausage in it. Maybe 4 chunks or so. It was heavily overwhelmed by the onion garnish. The chips it came with weren't even salted. The waitress was kind of snobby and gave us an attitude for just ordering apps. We saw a box just on the kitchen floor. Afterwards my husband even got sick. I don't usually leave bad reviews but here we go. I simply ordered a BBQ chicken pizza for my wife since she is allergic to tomatoes. I had to "create my own" which I did and I waited for the pizza and it comes out BBQ chicken with marinara sauce all over it. You have to be the dumbest cook on the block to mix Marinara with a BBQ chicken pizza. What a joke read more

The wings are small and $16 for 12- no special pricing for bigger orders. Waitress was good but served us some pretty gross Caesar salads ( those shouldn't have left the kitchen- brown chicken and lettuce) and when I order a plain Childs burger for my 89 yo mom, they didn't say " we don't have that" they put a bacon cheeseburger on my ticket w/o telling me and stripped all the toppings off so I didn't know they did it until I saw the $14 charge. Add that they put a mandatory 20% gratuity on my $400 ticket but were selling $10 large takeout pizzas all around us and I felt taken advantage off. Good new spot in a great location opposite the football stadium. Lots of tvs and beer choices. Food was solid, yet unspectacular. I think it would be a great place to watch NFL and college games. The a/c inside is amazing! I look forward to going back and trying more things. Pueblo needs more of this! read more

Tried ThunderZone for the first time on a rainy, dark afternoon. We discovered that it might be easiest to park in the stadium lot across the street. The room is spartan, mostly high tables with booths around the sides of half the space. Nice big windows. I counted something like 17 giant TV screens showing at least 4 different sports activities. The place was full and lively with a broad mix of people. There doesn't seem to be any noise-dampening material anywhere as the noise level was extreme. The beer list is decent, but not extensive. I noted a lot of taps on the wall, but the list we were handed did not seem to reflect them. There was also a lighted board to one side with about 3 other beers listed. For a tap room, there was a bit heavy presence of the macro-brews (BudMillerCoors). The menu is extensive, although most folks order pizza, it seems. We had the 'Touchdown' with pepperoni and sausage. We were not disappointed but not impressed either. It seemed to be more 'New York' style: thin, chewy crust, a fair amount of cheese, but thin on the meat. Flavor was good, with an 'old fashioned' tasting sauce and good cheese. We happened in just before the new school semester begins. I can imagine that the place is crazy when the students fill it up. Final impression: We might come back when the college is not in session. We're not sports people, so aren't much interested in a sports bar, which is what ThunderZone definitely is. It is nice to have another beer venue in town. read more

Thunderzone opened to a good start with good food and good service but the last few visits have been subpar. Not sure if it the the lack of management or just a lack of kitchen staff or both! The food is not consistent with the quality and preparation. The servers have been a hit or miss with satisfying customers and this goes back to having a manager who cares. Tonight's dinner was the biggest disappointment ever! The business had maybe 10 patrons 8 of whom we're sitting at tables to eat, 2 at the bar. We ordered a medium pizza at 8 pm with a sandwich, pasta and pig skins. Our server told us around 8:30 that our food was being packaged to go and should be a few minutes. Well 15 more minutes went by and still no food. I asked server what happened and she went to kitchen to check. She came out to talk to I think her female manager or coworker who was sitting at a booth. That person went to kitchen then came out 5 minutes later and told me with attitude that the pizza takes over 35 minutes to cook. She said our order came it at 8:08 pm and that it was still cooking at 8:50pm. This is just a BS excuse because there is no one in charge who is responsible to manage the kitchen. It is a Sunday night and the place is dead!! The pizza was soggy and undercooked so I know this is a crappy excuse. The other food was not even hot at all!! The only thing this place is good for is the $2 pint beers! I hope the owners of this place take note and properly train their staff!! The manager should manage the staff. The staff should not be using at the bar with their friends!!! BTW the average pizza should not take more than 20-25 minutes to prep and bake!! read more
