    Birthday party fun.

Amazing experience. James and Anna were wonderful and provided a great night for our future son-in-law. The food was excellent. I highly recommend both the table side guacamole and the skewer trio. The shrimp, chicken and beef were done perfectly. Save room for the chocolate cake or you'll be disappointed. Kudos to the team there! Thank you.

    Lunch special under $12

My wife and I tried this place for the first time today. Our daughter recommended, and she has been sending us to great spots. This place was easy to find and had lots of parking. We were able to get a great spot even with them being busy during the prime lunch time. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a sweet lady. I have not seen many folks with her experience working in the restaurant business, so I was surprised. However, she took good care of us and got us to a nice table away from the bar. Our waitress came quickly and finding out that it was our first time in the establishment explained everything to us. She also advised that she would be giving us a dessert special free of charge. I ordered the lunch special, an enchilada plate. My wife, who wanted TexMex, ordered a burger:-) Our piping hot food was delivered quickly and was just as we ordered. It was actually a lot more food than we expected for a lunch special, and it was very tasty. Will we return? Definitely, when we are in that part of town.

    Hair in the grilled vegetables.

WARNING: New Management. New menu. No more Coastal Rice, black beans, tostadas, and a lot of other favorites. The "Mexican" rice is flavorless and bland...BLAND, as in, none of the ingredients your Southside abuela used to use. The grilled vegetables were undercooked, and I FOUND a LONG, BLACK HAIR the serving. The veggies were comp'd, without concern. We have enjoyed Tiago's for over 10 years, brought business associates, friends, and out-of-town guests here, the place we loved. Sadly, now Tiago's is "just another Mexican food place , and not a good one. We won't be back.

We probably won't be back for a meal, but the salsa and the loaded queso were both good. So maybe just apps and drinks. Come during Happy hour and the appetizers are half price. The nachos are basically tostadas cut in half, it was a miss for me because of the steak. It was mesquite grilled which I didn't think would make a big difference but it did, it didn't taste like tex-mex like I wanted it to. It tastes more like they should have BBQ sauce on them. Also the grilled onions and bell peppers were really thick strips. The enchiladas were not impressive either. Tried green, sour cream, and beef. Sour cream was lacking in flavor majorly. Green was super acidic. Beef was overall okay.

It's been a while since I've been to Tiago's and the service and food were still amazing. I tried something new. The steak was so moist and juicy. The shrimp was tender and paired perfectly with vegetables.

Tiagos is our favorite place for chips, salsa, and jalapeno cream. There have been many changes to the menu recently but we still have our favorites. Try the Street Vendor Tacos, Fajitas and MEET THE GRINCH!

    Enchilada, rice, beans, beef fajita
    Diana R.

Lunch plate of 1 enchilada, rice and beans and beef fajita was fair--refried beans tasted burnt and like out of a can, rice was a little bland but a huge serving, fajita was not cut but a large hunk of meat-chewy but flavorful, enchilada was very tasty and cheesy . The best thing about the visit there was the waiter Adrian--he was fantastic! --attentive, helpful to hard of hearing ladies, In Our group of 12and very patient and kind!

Let me preface this by saying the service I received was stellar. The server was very understanding and helpful when it came to asking questions about the menu. The wait for the food was very long, in excess of 20-25 mins of waiting for our dishes. The appetizers cane out very quickly, but as soon as other people started coming in, everything slowed down. I sort of expected this to be more of a upscale Mexican restaurant from other's photos and the exterior of the building. However, inside it was more of a traditional interior, which isn't bad. I ordered the Fajitas and the Calamari. The calamari was great, as it was cooked the proper consistency and soft interior while a crispy exterior. The fajitas were subpar. The chicken was very dry, the beef was pretty overcooked and lacked any softness or give. Despite those, it still tasted fine, but the texture was very off-putting. The first round of tortillas were nowhere near fresh. They were dry and hard as a rock and lacking any kind of give or heat. Definitely not fresh. We asked for another set and they were fresher, so that was easily resolved. Overall, I don't think I'd come back. The server was great and I feel bad that his service was spectacular but followed up by a mediocre kitchen.

Let's start with that we were seat immediately on a Sunday evening, around 7, so points for that. It was moderately busy. The margarita flight was sooo good, and although I didn't care for the blue one - each was really well done. The chips were okay, thick and tasted like Tostitos. The salsa was excellent and my son literally was drinking it, liked it so much. The street corn was also 5 stars. The puffy tacos and the enchilada were all really well done and came out quickly. We got the table side gauc as well, but I don't think we'd get it again As it was a smaller amount than I'd like for the price we paid. Overall service was decent as well. It's worth the check out!

This is a mixed review of success and failure. Pro: 1. The fajitas were juicy and cooked perfectly. 2. The chips are thick ... holds up to the queso. 3. The chicken in the flautas had a great grilled flavor. 4. The service was friendly. Cons: 1. Spanish rice was flavorless. 2. The queso was just cheese sauce ... so pay extra and add the pico, guacamole and beef. 3. The sauces for the flautas were runny and flavorless. 4. The salsa was hot .. like can't taste the salsa cause my mouths on fire hot.

I don't know where to begin. Service (from Kylie) was spot on; friendly, attentive, and good at her job! Next the salsa is a bit of a kick but very flavorful. Chips nice and salty too. The fried shrimp delivered wonderfully with the Jalepeno tartar sauce. All 3 other meals were good too minus the shredded chicken taco could've used a little more flavor. Other than that a great meal!

    Amanda J.

Been here a few times and have had a few dishes. Their lunch specials are really good! Portion size and selection. My favorite is their barracho beans. I love the flavor of the beef from the grill. That charred flavor. Yum! I got the plate with 3 enchiladas, 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 shrimp. The beef was my favorite and will get that one next time. I tried the chicken empanada. Eh. I'd pass on that. The cherry on top of the chocolate cake!!!! We got half a slice which was more than plenty. The service there has always been top notch. Attentive, but not annoying. Is in a great location too!

I decided to stay in the city longer to check out this place. This restaurant is huge and the wait was 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. But not until I saw the sign on the back cover. This restaurant is under the same owner as Pico de Gallo. Omg. I just had their menudo the day before. No thanks. It may had it look more but I don't eat cheese as much. I was glad that dressing was on the side. Which was too salty for me. It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
