Good food, nice selection, clean tables, fair prices, nice staff, good location, busy place

Just left the Tian Tian Buffet. For us, the food was terrible. Rice had no flavor. Chicken wings were greasy. Chicken skewers were dry and no flavor. The egg roll was dry. The rice in the sushi was hard. Even the water had odd flavor. Overal, the food seemed like it was sitting there for some time now. We didn't finish our first plate leaving due to the unpleasant meal. The customer service was cold and uninviting. The terrible meal cost us $41.00 for two. So, we drove to Reedley to Kabab City. Significant difference with the ambience, hospitality and food? This meal was $47 and worth every penny. I recommend driving 20 minutes to Kabab City in Reedley. read more

Tian tian buffet it's called I went in the buffet thinking i was going to have a good experience but it was just horrible. i saw a tall chunky guy, looked like the manager, go up to the hostess (2 girls) and started yelling at them. I don't know why but It was very unprofessional of him. I heard one of the girl hostess say "Look, everyone is seeing how you treat us" so it seems like they don't get treated well. The service was bad as well. I only got one refill but it was "free unlimited refills" with our meal. The food bar was dirty and some of the chicken was cold. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. Customers and the workers get treated poorly. read more

My family and I went to the buffet sunday the service was horrible from the girl server we had to ask multiple times for refills and if she did take our drinks to get refilled she would take forever to bring it back and sometimes they were never brought to us till we had to get up and ask for it at the soda station. I've never been one to use yelp before only heard about it but the service I received from the girl server was so bad it felt necessary to leave a review. read more

Horrible service, there was three of us and we only ordered water. I drink lots of water, I got someone's attention and he gave me more water but didn't add ice, second time around I asked for more water and he was walking off until I raised my voice a bit to his attention, he came back I asked him for more water and ice, I did say please both times and thank you even though he almost threw the water into my hand. The food was delicious, hot, when appropriate, cold when appropriate, freshly prepared in appealing presentations with clean and tidy "chow" lines. The workers, as usual, were quick, efficient, helpful, and very nice. They kept the eating area clean, clearing dishes, wiping down tables, even sweeping up spilled food almost immediately. I would give 0 stars if I could. Got there at 3:30, dinner allegedly starts at 4. They put up signs for "dinner only" on items that the small child in my group didn't understand were not apart of the all you can eat. She got 3 butterflied shrimp. That was it and they knew that was it. They watch you like a hawk for that $8 extra bucks and when challenged they make a BIG show about going through the trash and showing you that you did in fact partake. It was really embarrassing. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years and make it a point to never rate terribly on sites like this, but the childishness and rude attitude of the owners/wait staff (not the gals up front) of this place was abhorrent. When asked, okay could you just charge the one meal as a dinner then and charge the rest normally?" They refused and forced payment before being ushered out. Cherry on top, food was not great either. We are from the bay area and have feen eating at various Chinese restaurants for almost 50 years . We had stopped for a dinner buffet at this restaurant and would like to ado that their food was absolutely horrible and tasteless. Every dish that we had tried was not even close to what we had used to eat at the Bay Area restaurants. Came to eat here tonight with my boyfriend, and as i was grabbing my food i noticed a fly in the mussels with cheese so i left it on the side out of the pan because i didnt know where the trash was expecting them to throw it away!! As any normal human bean would if they saw a fly in the food so we watched him notice the mussel and all he did was scrape the fly off and put the mussel back in and just changed the tongs me and my boyfriend instantly stopped eating. If they did this once how many other times have they done it? We confronted him and all he was saying was "yes yes yes" so nasty. Disgusting. Let's get straight to the point here; this is a fairly standard, Chinese food buffet. The food is good, but not great. But it is the food you would expect, and at times, crave. They have everything from orange chicken to sushi. You will also find some American classics for the picky eater, such as pizza, onion rings, and French fries. I'm not big on seafood, but I have seen baked mussels and crab legs on a couple of my visits. When you and the fam are done feasting until your stomachs desire, you can continue to indulge in their dessert bar, which includes cookies, banana pudding, and soft serve ice cream... yum! There are times when you want to pay $50 for a great meal at an established eatery. But there are also times when you want to stuff your face until you say stop for $10. 1 star because I can't give zero. Customer service doesn't exist at this place. My dad and I went to get to go plates. As we were walking around I grabbed 2 cookies to take with me and one of the employees almost chased us to charge us $1 for the cookies. I had no idea because nowhere does it state the extra charge. They claim that the cookies and ice cream are only free when dinning in. Again, nowhere is it stated on a sign this extra charge. Am I just supposed to magically know? Horrible customer experience. I would say this is a solid 4 for the price point, however I'm giving this a 5 rating to bump up the overall unjustifiable 2.5 yelp rating. I heard some good things about this place, or at least my family had heard. The food is much better than the competing Chinese buffet in Reedley. I went on a Sunday at lunch. As far as the food goes, I really liked the steamed fish and the steamer clams. There is a pretty decent selection of dishes, and over all the flavors are pretty decent. They have sushi that sports so so quality raw fish. The turn over was pretty good so the food was pretty fresh, and they did a good job of keeping things well stocked. The price is very reasonable. I think it was about $8 per person. The feel of the place is what kinda turned me off. The layout almost seems cafeteria style, rows of tables in one big room. The tables are arrange in a row style about as close to each other as they can be. Another thing is the table tops themselves. They are actually pretty nice black granite tables, but they show every smudge, food smear and handprint of the previous patrons. I had to wipe down all of our tables myself. read more

As buffet Asian places go you could do far worse. Prices are reasonable and the variety is good. The best is the pork in my opinion. Tastes similar to orange chicken but more hearty. Have never found this recipe anywhere else. I like the roasted chicken and the spicy chicken is always a favorite. Not for the low cal person but there are vegetable selections. The sweets are not the best although I do indulge in an almond cookie usually. And the sushi is definitely lower quality but serviceable. For the price though it's hard to beat! read more

Came here to see what the talk was about, this new buffet was about. The competing resturant in Reedley was better. After the waiter left me at my table, I had an unexpected guest. A cockroach! After it was taken care of, I went to eat. Kids were sticking their dirty hands in the food and eating like that. Eww... I ate some stuff they didn't touch, which was all the boring food. I noticed the plates weren't washed clean. I out my food around the dirty stuff. After I ate, I left, never to return again. I had gone a couple years ago, before the ownership had changed. It's exactly what you'd expect given the price. The food is extremely "slick" for lack of a better word--like everything was bathed in a cornstarch and soybean oil bath. The food tastes fine and will get the job done if you're really hungry but don't expect 5 star quality for 2 star prices. read more
