Ha, ha. Funny, but so far from the truth . . . their food & service are both great!

This was a great find! We were on our way back to the airport and wanted one last unique dining experience. We love breakfast dives with great local food and local service practices. Tic Toc Cafe was super cool. We had their two signature plates . . . biscuits & gravy and loaded hash browns. Both were delicious, serving sizes were generous and prices fair. We sat at the bar and the service was nothing short of excellent. Check out the photo I took of the shirts the employees wear. :) Contrary to what their shirts say, Tic Toc is a great place to get good food and good service, plus have fun at the same time.

This place already is a winner being open 24/7. They however seem to have the energy of people who just had a nights full of rest. This small and quaint place holds a mighty pack in the flavor of their breakfast. The corn beef hash and the breakfast sandwich were nicely seasoned. This place was packed so I already knew I was going to have a good experience, but those inside the restaurant couldn't stop raving about it. I'll definitely return when I'm in NOLA again.

If your looking for some good food without a restaurant with all the bells and whistles this is it. The place is small so seating is.limited however the breakfast food is definitely a MUST and worth the wait. The place reminds me of that show Mel's Diner where everyone is treated the same with great service

Always a great experience when we stop here. Great customer service and great reasonably priced food. Small place so may need to order to go but we'll worth the stop either way. That steak breakfast sandwich is SO delicious. Perfectly seasoned steak. Fluffy egg and fresh toasted brioche bun and grits were perfect.

This is a solid DINER! I found in my travels around NOLA there a several true diner style places that serve up hot, efficient...just plain good food. This place is one of them. The menu is limited but the do them well. The staff is friendly and all will serve and check on you. And even is the food come outs fast they don't rush you. I would place Tic Toc on a must visit but if in the area and undecided I would definitely recommend. Plus wifi!

Good simple breakfast and menu! Homemade like pancakes with crisp (not burnt) edges!! Definitely recommend

This place was awesome. I loved the liver and onions for breakfast. The owner treated us like family.

The food prices were righteous. When we first arrived, there was a really loud obnoxious noise from the speakers. It wasn't music, just NOISE. We aslked the server if the volume could be turned down. She said the owners would not allow anyone to turn the volume down and said it was a radio. Finally, someone got ahold of the owner and the volume came down. Why on earth would any owner want to ruin a perfectly lovely restaurant be ruined by very loud radio NOISE? My friend got the frozen blueberry mint froze and she loved it as well. We ordered the truffle fries for an appetizer and they were some of the best I've had. I loved the shaved Parmesan on top. I also ordered the Caesar salad and added grilled chicken. For $4 they gave a big amount of the chicken which impressed me. My friends ordered the Citrus Salmon Crispy Rice and Shrimp tacos. Both were delicious as well. The inside is very beautiful and bright with lovely decor. It did get very loud as the restaurant filled up so if you don't like having to talk very loud, you may want to sit outside. Our server was attentive although it seemed like he had so many tables that he was struggling to keep up as we each had to remind him that we ordered another drink. Overall, I will definitely go back but when it's cooler to sit outside.

District meets the suburbs…read more I've been to the locations on Magazine and Harrison several times but 1st time I have been to this one. This one feels like a chain restaurant (which it now is) and has no real personality being pinned in between a bike shop and a Jersey Mike's inside of strip mall. The kolaches at District are really good. They have a variety of flavors, I usually get a smoked sausage, cheese and jalapeno which is tasty but this time I got a brisket boudin and cream cheese kolache in a collaboration with Gonzo's. This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.

The dough is soft, buttery, and rich without being heavy, and the cinnamon-sugar filling is perfectly balanced (sweet but not cloying). You can tell it's made with the same care as their donuts. The icing is generous without drowning the cake, and the traditional Mardi Gras sprinkles add that classic festive touch. It's indulgent, flavorful, and dangerously easy to keep slicing "just one more piece." Also worth noting: it stays moist for days, which is rare for king cake. If you're torn between traditional and over-the-top versions, this is a great middle ground--classic flavor, elevated execution. Easily one of the better king cakes in the city, and definitely worth picking up during the season. Would 100% buy again.

Everyone who has tried the pate chaud absolutely LOVESSSS them!!! Take one bite and you'll be hooked for life! The service was nice the first time but the second time we really didn't have a good one. We had a guy that was really nonchalant and didn't pay us any mind. The Harrison BLT was a big let down just felt they didn't put any effort into it was kind of just there. A BLT is a very simple dish but has to be made with love and care. The Winser Scramble had a lot of potential but it only had 3 shrimp in there it's hard to forgive that when that's the only protein it has in there. The hangover bowl was pretty nice, literally any dish makes you get over any hangover you have brisket in a dish it's always hearty. Now to the McOutpost, I love the idea of it. I felt if the biscuit was a bit firmer and more flaky it would've been nice. Overall this spot is a pretty cool spot to go catch a vibe and a bite.
