We love this place. Everything is good. So far, the tuna sandwich is our favorite and the 5 year old loves the PB& J. We still have to try the Pizza and Pasta Salads. On our last visit, we met a very nice young lady here that is probably Troy's little sister. Super nice lady. Ya gotta love a family run business that serves up fresh and good food. Hmm... I wonder if they deliver food on the sand while yiu surf...now, that would be amazing! They have ice cold beer here! read more

Great location! Right across the street from the beach! Reminds me of the old days hanging out having a beer with your surf buddies. The the ambience is of beach & sports vibe! Relaxing. Now the food is awesome from there salads! Sandwich's or pizza! Made fresh with fresh ingredients. Service was excellent! Very attentive to their customers! Old school vibe. Stumbled across this place going from long beach to Laguna and happy we did. All the food we ordered was excellent as in tasted a little different and better then normal. They have a way with seasoning there food here. Loved it and did not even get to try a pizza . read more

I came here hungry and left here hungry. I'm not one to give low ratings but this place's food kind of sucks. I tried the Vinny G sandwich. Let me agree with some other review i saw here and call it a "breadwich" instead. There was more bread then there was meat. They are extremely skimpy on meat. Also, the layer of pesto on the bread was so thin you could not even taste it. I am really dissapointed as I was looking forward to coming here. Was it just an off day for them? Someone confirm and deny. Because there was barely any meat and it was just like eating bread. Also the sandwich is overpriced for what little amount of food is actually on it. I'll just say that the fries were good but that's about it. The service is fast and they are kind but whoever is telling the chefs to skimp out on meat is taking a big L. Definitely would not return because I have bread at home.. lol read more

This was a great find for me. I passed by here all the time and kept saying I needed to stop here. Well, I finally did, and what a find. First off, it's really small, but you know what they say, good things come in small packages. And this is one of those places. Note that there's limited seating here. So you might want to get it to go. They have a nice simple menu with some really tasty choices. I had a breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon, and it really hit the spot. Oh, and the salsa, they definitely put some effort into making that very good salsa!!! Now the burrito is good size, so you might want to split it. Now the restaurant is on PCH, so you might fly right past it. Being the speed limit is 50 mph, there. So keep a sharp eye out. Anyway, i can't wait to go back and try everything else. read more

Came here for lunch and it was so so good. I got the club and all of the ingredients were super fresh and the sourdough was great. We also got the Brussels sprouts which were seriously to die for. Never feel to write a review but this place actually deserved it. Got the sunrise burrito for $14 & it was well worth it. The sheer ingredients alone in the burrito were delicious so to put it together like they did then execute a clean healthy, & tasty burrito was awesome. The salsa too was very good! Staff is respectful & i this will be my new dedicated breakfast burrito place! read more

After months of hearing how amazing this place was, I finally tried it, and I am hooked! The staff is so friendly, and the food is incredible! I am a lover of pizza, and their cauliflower crust is epic! It has just the right amount of crunch and a thin crust. I have had both the Single Fin Pesto Pizza, and the Happy Hippie Pizza, and tried both with the cauliflower crust as an option. Delicious! You would have thought we were entering a high end restaurant based on the warm greeting extended to us. And yes, this is an intimate restaurant. And if you're looking for a delicious sandwich, this place is for you. The breads are fresh and delicious. All three of our proteins were tasty. Decent beer and wine options are available to complement a meal. We didn't have pizza, but based on the takeout orders picked up while we were eating, the pizza must be good. We will be back! Great spot to grab a quick lunch at prior to heading down to the beach. My bf called in an order for a turkey club sandwich and a chicken salad. The sandwich ended up coming with chicken (we didn't mind the chicken was super moist and tasted great) and the salad was probably one of the best I've had due to their chicken. The only problem was we had called ahead of time and came about 40 minutes later to pick it up but still had to wait for the sandwich and salad to be ready. The restaurant wasn't even busy and there were probably only two other people there so not sure why it took so long. I would definitely be back to try their breakfast items or pizza! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. He was very friendly and acted as if we were long time friends. You order up at the front counter and then they bring the food to you. We tried a little bit of everything. Their burger which was super simple but really tasty! Their breakfast burrito which was a classic. But the star of the show was the pastrami breakfast tacos I have never had anything like that before. It was so good and I will definitely be back for that! I also ordered their Paradise Iced Tea, which was good, but not spectacular at a paradise level in my opinion. The tri tip sandwich could have been executed in all the right ways, but the Serrano chilis were overdone and took over the sandwich. The balance was thrown off. The Serrano masked the overly chunky tri tip and my palate. If the Serrano chilis were diminished by a half or even two thirds, this would be a far better sandwich. The quality of the sesame seeded hero bus was great and I could taste it, but overshadowed by the Serranos.I could tell the cheese sauce was also well thought out and executed on its own, but again the chilis masked all that goodness. The same goes for the chunky sauteed onions, whose sweetness could have offered a nice counterpoint to the tri tip and chilis, but was overwhelmed by the chilis. This also applied to the tri tip, whose Wagyu flavor should have been at the center of this sandwich, but was pushed aside by the Serranos. You're onto a good thing with this Tri Tip and I was looking forward to enjoying it, given we don't commonly see the tri tip cut on the East Coast. When you run this special again, back off the Serranos by a considerable amount and chop the tri tip a bit more finely so one can eat it without having to eat oversized chunks. The quality is there, but the balance and execution were off. 3.4 stars

When I asked for one, she spent a moment at the screen and then told me she couldn't print it because she had already closed out my tab. I was confused why 1) she didn't give me a receipt in the first place, then 2) she decided that was the only solution - to tell me it could not be done. After I asked her to find a solution as I needed a copy of the receipt, she finally asked her colleague beside her, who pointed her to the right place, and, voila, the receipt was printed. Leading with "I can't" is never the right customer service instinct, especially for something as basic as a receipt. I also tried to buy the butter they import from France. I stood at the case for several minutes with no acknowledgment. I finally walked over to the nearest employee (her name was Lucy) who was finishing up with a customer at the register right next to the butter section. I politely asked if she could help me when she was free. She looked at me, nodded, and said she would. Then proceeded to assist every customer who lined up behind that original customer without once glancing back in my direction. In fact, I had enough time to walk to the bakery, go through the entire gift card situation as mentioned above, and return to the butter section, and Lucy still hadn't looked over. I left without the butter. Moulin used to have fantastic service. I don't know where those regulars went, but two strikes in one visit, with two different employees, is hard to brush off.
