This was a nice. Clean restaurant! Staff was very nice but I sent my breakfast back twice the second time was worse then the 1st! My eggs very over cooked. Sad we really wanted to give this place a good rating.

Best restaurant I've been in years! Food was served hot! They cook local, fresh ingredients.

Cute menu! Something for everyone!

Stumbled upon this gem! Great food and excellent service. The waitstaff was all very friendly and engaging... they seemed genuinely happy to be there. I had the loaded chili and Greek salad, both of which were delicious!! I tried their potato pancake, it was huge and a bit different than I expected.. good but not my style potato cake. Wish I lived closer cuz I'd be a regular! No wonder they've been in business for 40 years!

First time going here for breakfast and it's def a mom and pop shop, old style place. Older furniture and everything inside. The service was great! She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is in a newspaper form which was kind of cool. They gave us blueberry muffins to start with while you look through the menu. The portions are huge! The omelet is $8 and you can add a bunch to it, but wait here's the best part! ***Omelets tops out at $10!!** So I was excited and did sausage, chili, onions, peppers, cheese, spinach and oh my it was huge and delicious! You can also sub egg whites for no extra charge! Good place, nothing fancy for sure, with large portions!

Took a little time to get waited on but once I was seated the service was most accommodating. The Greek salad portions are huge and was one of the tastiest salads I have had in a long time! I definitely will be a repeat customer! Update the salads are still huge with fresh greens and lots of feta cheese and the service has become much improved since my first visit! In fact I have been here frequently over the last year as this is my go to place for salads and sandwiches. They have one of the best Reubens (but if you like it dry you'll need to let them know) and their monte cristo is awesome. It's easy to see why this establishment is a Palm Harbor staple!

Country fried steak

This restaurant has a really good breakfast/cozy feel. All the staff are always extremely friendly and the service is always great. I have come here many times, always trying a new dish. Out of all the dishes I have had, the breakfast skillets seem to be the only good thing. The food isn't bad, it's just very bland. There's also SO many amazing breakfast spots in this area... this one just falls short on the food aspect. I ordered the country fried steak this time (I've been in a weird phase and ordering this everywhere for breakfast). The steak was a good size and the gravy was good. The breading on the steak wasn't my favorite though. It comes with eggs, potatoes, and toast. The potatoes were cooked good. The eggs were SOOO bland. The eggs literally had zero taste.

Barq's Root Beer Float

Hidden gem. I had a Ruben and ate the whole thing plus steak fries! It was so fresh and warm. It was just delicious. Then had me some root beer float and I feel like I sent it back in time. Everyone was super nice and I definitely will be back from the Tampa area.

Buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream the best!

Classic mom and pop boomer restaurant that hasn't been updated in 30 years. Your grandma will love it here (their rye toast is seedless).

Predatory worker compensation structure - Be aware…read more We recently dined here and noticed the tabletop signs explaining a mandatory 20% "commission" added to every single bill. When speaking with our server, she informed us that management classifies the waitstaff as 1099 independent contractors, meaning they receive a $0 hourly base rate from the restaurant and rely entirely on this mandatory guest fee for their paycheck.I have a physical copy of the check showing this automatic fee. While the sign claims this "supports our team," classifying standard restaurant servers as 1099 workers instead of W-2 employees is a massive red flag that contradicts federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines. Independent contractors set their own hours and operations; servers do not. Furthermore, a restaurant cannot legally leave a server's direct hourly base wage at zero by relying entirely on automatic service fees.We love supporting local staff, but we want our money going to businesses that respect basic labor laws and compensate their employees legally. Hopefully, public pressure will force management to fix their payroll structure. The server said the restaurant was on the verge of bankruptcy and had to make changes. Sadly they chose to break the law. On that note the service was lovely, the food very tasty. I asked to sub corn for flour tortias and she was able. We don't directly live in the area, and its been a while since we've been here. Its always good, with good portions and not a chain. Its so unfortunate.

This place is absolutely adorable…read more I think this street is the perfect place to hit up a couple restaurants for a progressive dinner. A lot of the restaurants are closed for lunch though, which is how we ended up here. It's a lot larger than it looks. There's a really cute covered outdoors area in the back with a stage for performances. There were only a few diners there for lunch on a Friday so it was easy to grab a spot. I got a skinny strawberry margarita, it made me happy to see a skinny version of a flavored margarita on the menu. It has a sugar rim and was delicious. It's on the sweet side and I'd definitely get it again. I requested it without soda water. For my main I got the salmon bowl. I wouldn't get this again, but it's because the base is mainly fried wontons. I thought it would be a scattering of fried wontons but nope, it was a hefty portion. I didn't eat most of the fried wontons because I'm trying to be healthy. It's a delicious dish, just not for me. Service was great, but we were an easy table because we were chatting the entire time. I enjoyed our meal here, so we will definitely be back!

Taylor took amazing care of us. Honestly, his service stood out in a way you don't always expect at a more casual spot ~ he was attentive, friendly, and really on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed or overlooked. It made the whole experience feel elevated! The food was just as good. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken without potato salad, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. I also had Endless Summer cocktail that was smooth, delicious, and perfectly balanced ~ not too strong, not too sweet Even though the place was busy and had a really lively, energetic vibe, the food came out quickly, which was impressive given how packed it was. You can tell it's a true scratch kitchen, and I absolutely love that everything feels thoughtfully prepared. I left impressed and already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. It's a lively, welcoming spot with great food and standout service. Plenty of parking, too!

You really can't go wrong but shout out to Alex, Matt, Tori, Des and Emma! P.S. Please bring back the yippie hippie chicken salad but make it the pecan crusted chicken, pleaseeeee!

Excellent Service and Food We had a large party @ 50 adults…read moreand numerous children. The service was excellent by the wait staff and Chef since it was warm with a lot of drinkers! Food was top notch warm and flavorful! This is a great place for parties or just a small gathering.

There was zero flavor other than the tiny amount I would get with each bite from the bourbon sauce. But, that was quickly overshadowed by the pain in my jaw from chewing the dry salmon, and the absolutely abysmal excuse for rice pilaf. My water had more flavor. The plates were piping hot, but the food was not. That was the case for everything we had there. The service was below subpar. The waiter we had did not check on us at all. We had to wait way too long for our food. Things we ordered weren't even offered there anymore, but they're still on the menu... it was a total disaster. Overall, I would not recommend. I've had better food microwaved from the frozen food aisle of the grocery store. I've had better food from a hospital cafeteria. Finally, the environmental impact is troubling. We saw a baby alligator sitting in shallow water next to trash from the restaurant. There was trash all throughout the dock area. I witnessed wait staff emptying drinks over the railing into the greenery next to the lake. Just awful behavior. Someone needs to come in there and tighten it up because honestly disappointed isn't even close to how I felt from a simple meal. Again, stay away.
