We first saw this on TikTok and hubs had been wanting to try it. He was fascinated with the idea of robots cooking. When we arrived there was a small line and most of the tables were occupied. The restaurant is more of a small eatery, with pristine white walls, hard (but comfortable) booths that line them, and a perfect view of the ordering counter. Unfortunately, the robotic machinery that the place is known for isn't very visible, but you can see bits and pieces of it if you stand at the end of the ordering counter and look in the back. Meanwhile, the ceiling is adorned with wooden rafters and wavy white lights weave through them to illuminate the place. There were only a few tables inside the place but dining is mostly outdoors. We managed to grab the remaining empty table and we were happy with that but I think someone got upset with us. LOL. Oh well! We ordered the following: Chow Mein- this reminds us of Chinese American lo mein. This was a great substitute for white rice. Dry Pot Brussels Sprouts- never had it at a Chinese restaurant before. Hubs loved this. Tomato and scrambled eggs - it was tasty and good. Wagyu mapo tofu- this was one of the best tasting mapo tofu that we ever had. Red braised pork belly with potato- never had this before. Hubs has a closet sweet tooth and loved this dish. We hope to find this at a restaurant in the East Coast. Steamed Rice - this was nice and soft. Daughter loves that our dinner was all served in a takeout container and that you just need a lid to bring the rest of home. They have reusable bags for takeout and little boxes for takeout with their logo on it, which was cute. This was a huge surprise. We wish that we have this place in our neighborhood in the East Coast. Hubs wish that Panda Express was like this, but sadly it's not. Service was very friendly. went in with low expectations but it was honestly not that bad. the mapo tofu was actually kind of mala, and the brussels sprouts were great, though they were on the saltier side. the broccoli (we got the garlic sauce on the side) was pretty bad, and the sauce was too sweet. the honey black tea was also not really to my liking. but i tend to be kind of picky with black tea, so maybe its okay. i didnt hate it at least. i do wish it was a little sweeter, thats all. the atmosphere was alright, but it felt too cramped, and i feel like i went at a good time in between peak lunch and dinner hours. i had to wait a solid 2 minutes to put my trays away, because there were too many people crowded by the fountain drink machine and the sauce counter -- which are right next to each other, the place to put back the trays was underneath the counter, and you have to squeeze past all of the people doing whatever around there just to get to the bathroom. probably wont be back unless im somehow in the mood for a small portion. read more

The portion was generous. Food is fresh and temperature is well maintained. I had a really good first time experience. This prompt me to revisit the next day. Around 3:15. The guy (white/tall/buff) just toss the small food containers on the high counter after scoop, showing some attitude. He then check me out using the back of hand/knuckle without taking off the glove. It is a food safety violation. Food portion is also significantly fewer than the previous day. The garlic eggplant dish is also looking old and stale. This restaurant has potential and just need a fix on the staff training and quality control. I give it a 3 star and will change to 4/5 if I see improvements on my next visit. read more

I would say it's too oily for me. Yet that's also the trick. I would recommend to pair the dish with some tea~ I ordered the rice with braised pork and beef; dry fried Brussel sprouts; string beans with eggplant; shredded potato with sprouts; and orange chicken. Orange chicken seems very popular; I heard it was the last batch by 7pm already. The flavor is pretty decent not too sweet like other fast food. Rice with braised pork and beef ($5.99) brings the childhood memory back. My favorite food. I added with their spicy chilly n beef. It's perfect combo!!! I would def just go back for that only! I was very excited to hear about this opening-- my favorite Chinese comfort foods to-go! But I was not pleased with my experience... I came on a Monday night at 7pm and it was packed! I waited about 20 minutes in line and when I got to the front, they were out of almost everything, so I had to wait even longer... I ended up waiting 40 minutes for what was supposed to be fast food... The food is marketed as "just $3-7 per bowl" but size of the bowls are pretty small and the price adds up. Also because it was so busy, the workers were not filling up the bowls... Not "a steal" as marketed. The restaurant was very clean and the packaging was nice, which I appreciated. The staff were also very friendly and apologetic about the long wait. The food itself was mediocre. I ordered the eggplant and kung pao chicken. Saw Tigawok months ago and was excited to go try it as soon as they opened. Tigawok has similar concept to Panda Express in the layout of fast yet easy, where you pick your entrees and pay at the end. The biggest difference, it taste way much better and I really like the individual small portion size so you can try a lot more different dishes they have. The other aspect is there use of reusable containers with provided lids. The containers feel solid so these can be reused if you decide to clean and keep them after use, so they kinda push a bit more for environmentally friendly and sustainability. Theres plenty of tables inside so finding a seat was not too difficult. This restaurant is located in large plaza so parking isn't too difficult to find either. Overall food was good. You can get a variety to share instead of just the two or three selected for your "combo" like at other fast Chinese food place. The pork and peppers were my personal favorite, savory and packed with flavor. The chow mein at only $3 is such a steal, a great base. Curry and mapo tofu with meat were pretty standard and could definitely fill more than one person. The cabbage was all of our favorite veggie dish, it was garlicky and perfectly cooked. I loved the concept, like Panda Express style walk down the line, grab a tray start with your base rice, noodles, then entrees they had several chix, beef, and pork proteins and ofc veggies. I opted for the sausage fried rice, mapo tofu with beef and green beans and eggplant. The tofu was interesting not too spicy but the ground beef was a bit too crunchy?? The green beans and eggplant were good, i was looking for more eggplant to green beans in the ratio ...the fried rice was good and I loved that all the trays were constantly getting refreshed. The employees were friendly and helpful and the line moved along relatively quickly as we got in and moved through in a decent amount of time. I really liked the color palette they chose a soft teal and an eco friendly light beige for the containers. Also for those that ordered more than you could eat to go lids and nice insulated bags to take your food home in. I recommend this place to try it doesn't hurt. I've been here a 3-4 times now, both for dine-in and take-out. Definitely appreciate that Tigawok offers more authentic Chinese than the other quick service competitors. When something is supposed to be spicy (like mapo tofu), it actually IS spicy and in the right way. I haven't had any dishes that I disliked yet, although I think the kurobuta pork could use fewer peppers, and the rice sometimes can be a little bit soggy. The condiments are really good and add much needed spice/acidity to the entrees and I would sorely miss them if they ever ran out. The reusable containers and takeout bag are nice and I've definitely seen the bags being used at 99 Ranch, lol. Unfortunately the coupons from grand opening expired way too quickly and I couldn't redeem them in time - but I'll make my way out to Tigawok again when I'm craving Chinese 'fast food' takeout. read more

Went here after my wife saw it on TikTok and wanted to try it mainly because of all the gluten free options they offer. I did a pickup order for dinner and when I got there there was a huge line out the door which immediately made me think ok this place must be good. And it was. I was honestly really impressed by the quality. Everything tasted fresh and cooked right then and there not frozen or reheated like you sometimes get at other fast casual spots. We ordered the gluten free orange chicken for my wife and she absolutely loved it did not even let me have a bite and ate the entire thing herself. Great zest great punch exactly what she was hoping for. For myself I ordered the shiitake pepper chicken and kung pao chicken both of which had a serious kick but amazing flavor. The guy helping me I believe his name was Kevin was super patient and kind and let me try a bunch of the dishes before ordering which was huge. Shoutout to him because he nailed the recommendations. Both dishes were spicy but so flavorful and still hot even when I got home which I love. The ratio of chicken to peppers and onions was perfect. Chow mein was also solid I just wish there were a bit more noodles compared to the veggies but it helped balance out the heat. Been to this location twice and gottah say it's made the 5-star list in my book. The portions are great, food is delicious, prices are reasonable. I especially like the pork belly and the rice entree, but the string beans and eggplant dish is also pretty flavorful. The spicy selections are extra spicy so tread lightly. The interior of this establishment is clean and spacious. Bonus point goes to their to-go containers. It's reusable and microwave safe, truly a genius concept.
