This place can get pretty busy and have a line out the door, but it usually moves pretty fast. There is a small amount of tables inside and not much walking space between the tables and the food line. We got: chow mein - surprisingly delicious and super cheap 5/5 braised pork and rice - it was good, but seemed like chow mein was the superior base dish at half the price 4/5 sweet tomato and egg - the eggs are made perfectly fluffy to compliment the tomato texture 4/5 orange peel chicken - their most popular dish and for a good reason, solid flavor and nice crunch 5/5 beef curry - this one was good, when the beef is cooked perfectly than this has insane potential 4/5 zesty chicken - this one was similar to a Hainanese style chicken, but a bit heavy on the cilantro 4/5 Overall it was a lot of food, you could probably get 2-3 items and be completely full. At $5-6 per main dish, it's a great cheap eats option. read more

The food here was very oily to me. My stomach hurt for a couple of days. I really didn't care for the flavors as well. The wagyu pieces were so tiny, it could be part of the fried rice. Prices are amazing, ranging from only $1.99-$6.99, which makes it easy to try a variety of dishes. We wanted to try their new sweet and sour pork and it was really good. Crispy, fresh, not too oily, and the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Portions are generous, making it perfect for sharing with friends or family. What's really cool is that all the food is cooked by robotic woks, so everything is fresh, consistent, and ready fast. good quality Asian style food at an affordable price one important thing to note is the entree bowl size changed, it is slightly shorter, so I feel it fits slightly less food now. even if it's smaller, I prefer the tigawok branded lid. It makes all the "mini bowls" style feel consistent and cohesive. one of my favorite entrees is the pepper pork, but half the time I get more pepper than pork. I don't eat the pepper, so that is a letdown for me. compared to other meat entrees, I feel the pepper contains the least amount of "meat." also sometimes the tomato in the scrambled eggs have hard tomato pieces which I spit out Other than that it's a great restaurant with great service, good branding, and a casual atmosphere! read more

Had the chance to revisit and felt really impressed with the entire experience. I saw fresh food getting served out from the back and also sampled several items while browsing. I really appreciate the sizes of the entrées and sides, as it really allows for greater selection and not committing to just one large family style serving of a dish. Even something as simple as the Brussels sprouts is done perfectly, as the veggies are cooked through and well seasoned. The orange chicken has a nice crunchy exterior and tangy glaze, and it's neat that they also allow you to grab pickled radish and chili sauce on the side. The service was great, the food was tasty, and I would easily return here to grab take out. I have yet to to do a dine in experience since it can get packed up pretty quick within the store, but the decor inside the restaurant is very modern, with rope-like lights and tasteful accents all around. If you want to try all the dishes, you absolutely should because 1) it's affordable 2) the servings are gracious and can easily be split between 1-2 3) it's fast, so perfect if you're hungry or in a hurry 4) they have use cute re-usable Tupperware and have a cute reusable bag to bring it home in. I was very excited that they open a location in Orange County. I had had been to the Sawtelle location some months back and really enjoyed the food. The Orange County location was very clean and well set up and ran far better than the other location. The service was decent. The problem at the Orange County location is the food. It's not terrible or anything. It's good but I feel like they don't clean up the meat as well as they did at the other location. Most of the meat here had a lot of fat. I'm sure some people don't mind, but that's a thing for me. I'm honestly not sure if I'd be back. I should probably give it another chance at some point, but right now I feel that they have a little work to do to get the quality of food up to that of their other location. read more

wow! when they advertise themselves as more chinese version of chinese american version of panda it's spot on, it's so much better! so many ways to mix and match your meal and i love the authentic flavors and offerings. opted for a 2 entree bowl with basil chicken and brussels sprouts and both were delicious. also added an a la carte orange peel chicken and it was also very good. service with quick although i think the cashier process could be improved because the cashier is burdened with asking the customers what was selected as entrees unlike panda where the staff marks the selections on the takeout box. as a customer, you're also tasked to grab your own takeout lids and box your food- which is no biggie at all. i prefer to box my own stuff but i can imagine it being a little chaotic when the restaurant is busy. can't wait for the chino hills location :) read more

I've been waiting for Tigawok to open in Orange County for the longest time, so I couldn't be more thrilled that it's finally here in Irvine! It's quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is super yummy and the price point is honestly unbelievable for the quality and portions you get. I'm also really excited that they offer bigger plates now -- such a great option if you're extra hungry or want to try more items. Everything I've had so far has been flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance is also super nice for a casual food spot; the space is always clean, inviting, and comfortable to dine in. On top of that, the staff are always friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a delicious, affordable lunch spot, Tigawok is definitely the place to go. So happy we finally have one in Orange County! read more

I have been a big fan of Tigawok for as long as they've been around. I ventured out to the Los Angeles locations a few times and was very excited for them to finally open up a shop in OC! The concept of the shop really appeals to me as someone who loves to try multiple dishes at any given place but doesn't want to spend a ton of money or get too much food (as I often dine out solo). This Irvine location may be the most convenient one yet since it is in a shopping center with pretty ample free parking. That being said the shop itself is quite small and during both of my visits so far I almost didnt find seating. If you come during lunch rush don't expect a seat! The food itself is great, and almost every dish I have had has been delicious. In particular I love the braised pork and wagyu beef bowl, chow mein, and soup dumplings. I've also had the curry, sweet tomato and scrambled eggs, orange peel chicken, cola chicken, and the eggplant. Every dish has been great and I've already recommended the place to many friends and family members! read more

the orange chicken was gas and crispy, way better than panda express the mapo tofu was spicy, the wagyu was delicious though they could be more generous with it, the spicy cumin beef actually had an insane kick, and the overall the food was amazing. everyone was super friendly but the bluetooth was not connected fully and would cut out every other second. super super annoying and noisy, imagine hearing loud blaring of basic pop songs every 1 second then it would cut out and randomly jump scare you again. it was even worse in the bathroom. even though the food was delicious, that was enough to almost ruin the whole experience of seeing how cute tigawok was for us. still 5 stars though! read more

Tigawok is a new fine for me. Some might be offended, but it's my new better Panda. Serves great selections that Tony the Tiger would agree taste great. The individual serving size are around $3-$5, which offers diners to enjoy several different dishes. My personal favorite is the orange peel chicken, and pork dumplings not to my palate is the shredded chicken. So rare these days to find a place where I can get dinner for two for around $20. The food is excellent and staff is helpful and friendly. It's one of my go to on Culver. I have been told lines can get long, but so far I have been lucky. 3.5 stars. I feel like tigawok can be a great casual staple stop, and I'll likely come back decently regularly. The main issue is just consistency. You're rolling the dice each time you come here in terms of: which things you like are going to be available (they've run out of broccoli numerous times that we've been here believe it or not...before 6pm not less!), how long you have to wait for stuff that has run out, and overall how you balance these factors against how much time you have and what compromises you want to make. For example if you came here craving something and you have to wait 10-15 minutes for them to make more, it kind of ruins the whole concepts of a cafeteria style casual quick spot. It's not a well oiled machine. Food is solid though, just the experience itself isn't consistent read more
