A little salty for my taste but not bad. It's a cute shop with bubble tea and pho. A bit further away from my area so not sure if I'd come back any time soon but I would try their pho if I'm ever around the area again! Staff was very nice and accommodating too!

It was fine. Looked at the menu ahead of time so I knew that there were very limited (one?) vegan option. The crispy teriyaki tofu sandwich without mayo. It was fine, like I said. I wish there was one vegan pho option (beef broth listed on the menu) and one vegan bowl option (I could have maybe gotten the tofu in a bowl but the sauce is fish sauce).

This is mainly a take out place, and it's clean and cute. Hard to drive into because it's on the one side of a busy road (Manchester Rd), but if you can turn into that parking lot, DO! So good! I ordered their Beef and Lemongrass Bahn mi and the crispy Roast Pork Ban mi. They are excellent and flavorful!!! Also love their Coin Waffle. American Teen approved! One con, was I'm not sure if my Lychee Fruit Tea was supposed to have salt? It was salted so I wasn't expecting that, but great drinks! And they customize sugar level and lots of different toppings. All good. Loved the barista today, she was awesome and knew her sH#T, so it all came out quicker. I did order ahead (online for pickup) so maybe that was the reason. Anyways, my new snack and bubble/boba tea place to go!!!

This place is awesome! The decor is cute and the menu is different than most places you'll find in St. Louis County. My favorites are the cold cut banh mi, the cheese coin waffle and the Ube Cream Oolong Milk Tea. I like that you can order on a screen or with a person. The wait isn't super quick but not too crazy.

I've been wanting to stop by for a drink for a while and finally be able to. The place is pretty spacious and wasn't too busy. I got the signature milk tea with egg pudding. The boba is too soggy. The milk tea is pretty basic. Hopefully it was just a bad batch of boba and not a regular standard. The egg pudding is very pudgy and not custard texture like I expected... Overall, I'd say don't order what I got ... at least...

Stopped by for a quick snack of the bánh mì que chả cá and some cà phê sửa đã (Vietnamese iced coffee). The banh mi made for a nice snack at a decent price point - the fish sausage portions were good and the sweet chili sauce was a nice touch, while the bread had a nice crunch on the outside and chewy consistency inside. The iced coffee was strong, which is how I like it because the ice melts and gradually dilutes it. Everyone who worked here was very friendly, and the interior was clean and brightly lit. Really glad to have another Vietnamese option in the STL area!

We really liked this lunch! I've only had one other bahnmi sandwich before, I don't have a lot to compare it to. But if you like fresh vegetables and grilled meat sandwiches this is for you. We tried the beef, pork and chicken, each were very good and came with (very) fresh veggies on top, I think it was cucumber, onion, carrot and cilantro and the option to get it toasted or add spicy chili paste I think it was. Only feedback for the owner is that I would add fresh Jalapenos as well for spicy orders. The inside of the restaurant was welcoming, I am not familiar with the culture but I had no issues ordering here. The staff was friendly and working hard. There is a nice sized parking lot in the front, no issues swinging through for lunch pick up. Thanks for a great meal! I'm in Des Peres occasionally, I'll be back for another.

Soft opening today so owners were training staff to take orders & make sandwiches. At the start, Owner asked if I want hot sauce. I was told not spicy, somewhat sweet, when I asked how spicy is the hot sauce. That is accurate for palates that like spicy (so it was not spicy to me) but I could see it being spicy for others. My to-go sandwich was dry so I wish there was another sauce -- not just the hot sauce because not everyone would be able to take more of it. I'll be back to try the Danang bread stick with fish -- I asked owner what type of fish and he said Carp.

The bún bò Huế is hands-down one of the best we've ever had. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and we keep telling ourselves we're going to order something different... but we can't stop coming back to the bún bò Huế! The shaking beef is incredibly tender and full of flavor, and the beef curry is another standout that's absolutely worth ordering. Everything tastes fresh, especially the generous plates of herbs and garnishes. The cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, and limes are always fresh, crisp, and plentiful, which really elevates every dish. The service has been outstanding every time we've visited. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. The menu has such a huge variety that we've officially decided to make it a date-night challenge to work our way through the entire menu. At this rate, that may take a while because we keep ordering the bún bò Huế over and over! This place is an absolute gem. If you enjoy authentic Vietnamese food, do yourself a favor and give Mai Lee a try. 10/10, highly recommend.

As a family-owned restaurant, it has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and an extensive menu with plenty of Vietnamese dishes to choose from. The food is generally good, although it can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on what you order. Most of the time, I leave satisfied, and there are several dishes that keep me coming back. The service can also vary depending on who you get, but one consistent highlight is the female owner. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar when she's there, she'll make sure you're taken care of and goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome. What keeps me returning is the combination of the large menu selection, and the comfortable atmosphere. While not every visit is perfect, Mai Lee remains a local favorite that's worth trying, especially if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and a place with a long-standing reputation in the community. One of my longtime favorites was the chicken bánh mì, although I haven't had it in a while. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the shrimp spring rolls. They're always fresh, flavorful, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce that keeps me ordering them every visit. While not every experience is perfect, Mai Lee has earned its place as a local favorite with its family-owned charm, extensive menu, and dishes that keep customers coming back year after year. The shrimp spring rolls alone are worth the trip!

I knew they don't take reservations and won't seat an incomplete party, but I still got there a little early just to see if we could grab a table for five. I was surprised (in a good way) when they seated me before everyone else arrived. I even told the hostess I didn't mind waiting, but she encouraged me to go ahead and sit, which was really nice. Our server was super friendly and made sure I was taken care of while I waited. As my friends started arriving, he was quick to get them settled in too. We started with some non-alcoholic drinks and spent some time chatting before diving into the menu. It was honestly hard to pick just one thing, so I went with both the chicken pho and fried rice. I knew I wouldn't finish it all, but I really wanted both. Once we ordered, everything moved smoothly--our server checked in, made sure drinks were filled, and kept things organized. When the food came out, everything looked amazing and tasted just as good. Of course, with all the catching up we were doing, it took us a while to finish, but there was no rush at all. When we were ready, he brought the checks and was more than happy to split them out (always appreciate that!). Before leaving, I ordered a to-go meal for my husband and asked for a box for my leftovers. Our server actually took my plate and packed everything up in the back, which I wasn't expecting but really appreciated. He also brought out the to-go order right when it was ready. Honestly, everything, from the space to the service to the food, was just great. I'm already looking forward to going back again soon.

Me and a friend went there and we both ordered the same corn dog, half and half original Korean corn dog, on the same order ticket. As soon as we got there I noticed we were the only ones in line and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we should get our food fairly quickly. About a line of 5 people came, ordered their food, and received their food before we ever got ours. We kept waiting and the waitress finally brought our food after about 30 minutes of waiting, but only my friend received his food. We waited longer for my food to come and it still took them about an extra ten minutes, which wasn't given to us until we went to the counter and let them know I still haven't received my food and it was then they gave me my corn dog. After I finally received my food I noticed how big it was and was at least excited to try it, but as soon as I bit into it, the majority of the inside was air and a little bit of mozzarella cheese. I was really disappointed by this experience and had high hopes I was going to enjoy it. I'm giving this experience 1 star, this place has great foods and desserts that they offer and could be better, but the staff really has to step up their performance.
