First time trying their poke bowls and it was amazing!! I got a medium bowl with salmon and tuna, and imitation crab. I love the portion of the food, the flavor was amazing the tuna and salmon tasted soo yummy and fresh the rice also. The service was great as well plenty of seating inside and also outside of the restaurant as well. Definitely will come again!

Traditional Shoyu (6oz)

I came here during my lunch break at work to satisfy a poke craving. I'm not sure how to feel about it... I saw that this place had good reviews and the photos looked pretty appetizing so I wanted to try it for myself. I got the traditional shoyu and subbed tuna out for salmon. I was not expecting the protein to be that heavily drenched with soy sauce. It was actually pooled at the bottom of the plate, even drenching the rice and became the sole overwhelming flavor. The service was good. The worker was friendly and helpful when I had questions. There's a few tables inside but maybe don't bring a big group. It can be somewhat loud since music is playing and also depending on if others are inside the restaurant. For perspective, there were only two other people in the restaurant and I could hear their voices echoing when I sat on the other side. Mind you, they weren't speaking that loudly either. Overall, I can't say I can recommend this just yet, but I do want to give it another try and try something else off the menu and see if my opinion changes.

Poke By Pound Medium Size (12oz) with Tuna and Salmon. Add their freshly made Tortilla Chips. Yummy!

Poke and Nachos! I never knew such a combination was so good until I tried Tiger Plate way back. I have been here several times and the poke has always been fresh. I like to order the kids size Poke Nachos when you are not super hungry or by the pound (12 oz which is enough for 3-4 people) and add their freshly made tortilla. I've ordered online and in person and the service has been great. There are some seating inside but not much. The good 1. Salmon & Tuna - These are my go to proteins. They have always been fresh with that slight melting in your mouth sensation. 1. Spicy Mayo + Sweet & Spicy Yuzu - This is my go to sauce! I love this mix. Though I like to kick it up a notch by adding some more siracha sauce. 2. Variety of Toppings and Garnishes - I love the variety and like to add practically all of them!

Spicy Mayo (6oz) & Avocado Musubi

A nice little poke shop for poke lovers to try out. They also have some varieties of spam Musubi to try out as well. You can either build your own bowl or try one of their many specialty bowls. It was a hard choice for me but I tried their Spicy Mayo Bowl and a Spam Avocado Musubi to go along with it. Unlike most poke places, here the bowl are made in the back where you don't get to see them build your bowl. The Spam Musubi was delicious. Just the right freshness and I loved the fact that it wasn't pre-made and wrapped in saran wrap just to be microwaved. The Spicy Mayo bowl was tasty too. It had a nice touch with the macadamia nuts and the spice level was just good.

Tuna handroll ($6) was packed with tuna and tasted solid. Would get again at this location.

Was working in town and decided to get some yummy food. This small restaurant has about 20 seats. Island vibe! I got the spicy mayo bowl and I had to try their spam musubi with avocado. I spent $32 bucks with tip and a drink. Service was top notch and helpful. The spam musubi was a meal in itself, but I had to go for the bowl. Delicious! Layers of flavor with seaweed salad, cucumber, avocado, spicy tuna, shrimp, and rice. It was Da Bomb!!

The workers were friendly as soon as we walked in. So off the bat, we felt welcome. It's a little small but they have a few small tables to dine in. I ordered the poke nachos ($11). It was delicious and the tuna tasted fresh. I'd come back again.

Kids bowl with salmon poke

Have been wanting to try this place for awhile and it didn't disappoint! Very kind server (might have been the owner?). Not busy on a Friday around 2. I got the kids bowl which in total only comes out to a little over $11 - that's really good for a poke bowl nowadays, especially because this place gives unlimited toppings. The portion for the kids size is a lot too and they don't skimp on fish or any other toppings! Their fish is fresh and soft. Would come back if in the area!

Medium Bowl

It was my first time here and I just wanted a quick lunch. It's a small little shop (ps, next door there is ice cream too lol). I ordered a medium bowl which I think is 4 oz of fish. You get to pick 1 dressing and I chose spicy mayo. Unlimited toppings. They had mango and I always love putting mango on top of my poke. Unfortunately, they were out of it. I hope next time I come they have it. I found the portion to be kind of small compared to other poke places, but personally I still left full. (Tbh american portion sizes are crazy, so this was a proper amount of food) lol. They also have sushi rolls here which was cool. Food came out super fast. I also ate it super fast. Easy parking. I would recommend giving it a try for a quick, no frills poke bowl if you're in the area.

Came here to try their poke since it was recommended by a friend and it was pretty decent. I really enjoyed the combination of their sauces and poke together. I can't say it's one of the best I've had, but it wasn't too bad. For the price, I did expect it to taste a bit better, with more varieties. Their tuna was also slightly frozen, and their fish didn't taste as fresh as the other poke places I've been to. They also charge you for water sadly. However service was great, and it's a cute little spot. Not sure if I would come back.

Kids CYOB (bottom) & medium CYOB
Kelly K.

SO good, fish was melt in your mouth and very fresh. Flavors of the sauces were done well and were well balanced with all the proteins & toppings. We got the kids & medium sized CYOB and portion was generous without being overwhelming.

6 oz Bowl Base: White rice/cucumber. Protein: Tuna/Salmon. Sauce: Spicy Shoyu/Spicy Mayo drizzle. All toppings. Avocado. All garnishes.

Love this place. Great Poke and other food items. Excellent service. Silvia and Santrell are phenomenal. Owner is kind and generous. Copy my order, click the photo in my review. I come here weekly. I like their music too. It's also easy to have a meal here; plenty of parking.

8/20/24 (tue): Kids 3oz BYOB w/ Salmon & Tuna! Sooo worth it & yummy!!
Mimi L.

I love poke and this TG hits the spot!! I like their menu options and specifically for the CYOB in which you can choose from the 3oz, 4oz or 6oz bowls ranging from cost of $10.50 to $16.40. To cost-save on eating but still provided with a great taste - I typically go for the Kids (3oz) bowl @ $10.50 - a perfect portion for me! I also do LOVE their Poke Nachos @ $10.50. This is the place to get it! Their tortilla chips are thick and generally holds most of the crunch even after 1/2 hour - 1 hour of not eating it immediately. It reminds me of the poke nachos from Poke to the Moon (closed earlier this year). I typically order online for pick-up because I get to control the customizations to my liking. Under Special Requests - they allow you to choose Light Sauced (Mixed), Extra Sauce (Mixed) or Separate Base/Fish and they allow you to select a sauce if you want it to drizzle over your bowl. I love sauces so I take advantage when I can. For their rewards program, for every visit you make you earn 1 point. When you get to 10 points you get 10% off the entire sale or 20% of entire sale when you collect 20 points. Sometimes they'll email out discounts - just gotta keep an eye out for those. So worth using. Oh check in on Yelp app and you do get a free soda can drink. Great location in Costa Mesa on Bristol. Parking can be a bit tough to find if you go during their busy rush times and weekend. If you're a poke lover you gotta try Tiger Plate!

Stopped by on a Sunday around 7 PM and was in and out of the ordering line in about 10 minutes,…read morewhich was impressive considering how busy it was. I built my bowl with a half white rice, half salad base and chose crab, spicy crab, avocado, white onion, cucumber, and corn for the toppings. I appreciated that avocado didn't cost extra. For protein, I went with double salmon and eel. The salmon tasted fresh and was easily the best part of the bowl. The eel was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I had it all with the Wasapon sauce, which added a nice creamy kick without overpowering everything else. I also added green onions, fried onions, garlic chips, and masago. The only thing I'd point out is that the masago portion was pretty small, and extra costs more. We didn't try any of the drinks, although they had a decent selection available. The total was a little pricier than I'd usually like for poke, but signing up for their rewards brought the price down enough that it felt more reasonable. Parking was easier than expected. The lot was almost full, but we still found a spot without much trouble. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Overall, it's a solid poke spot with fresh fish, plenty of customization options, and quick service. Not the cheapest bowl you'll find, but I'd come back, especially for the salmon.

Gotta be the best poke bowls in OC. Fish quality is consistently a step above other OC restaurants,…read moreplus similar cost for much larger serving size! I must make a comment on how perfect the rice is every time. I consider going here and ordering rice only. Lovely restaurant! It has a unique open dining area, very well accommodating for groups. Almost feels like you're eating at a Texas bbq * if getting spicy mayo, ask for light! They tend to douse your fish in spicy mayo lol

The chicken bone in thighs are HUGEEE, a 2 pc plate is definitely a sufficient portion. The fried chicken is some of the best, juicy inside and super flaky and crispy outside. The spicy garlic sauce is perfectly sticky and has great flavor. The mac salad is creamy and includes potato. I'd rate the CPC plate 6/5 - DA BOMB! We also got a spam musubi, which was delicious, good spam to rice ratio and yummy sweet sauce. 5/5 musubi. I also tried their DHK bowl which is a huge bowl including poke, kalua pig (or lau lau), seaweed salad, and lomi salmon. I liked that it was an option to try a little bit of everything. The ahi poke was super fresh, with minimal sauce. The seaweed salad was sweet and not very fishy. The kalua pig was tender. The lomi salmon was probably my least favorite because it was pretty salty. I'd rate the DHK bowl a 3/5. Their new menu seems to be focused on CPC chicken with only a few other options. Also note there's no indoor seating, and they only have a couple of picnic tables outside.

Let me put on though they got that real hawaiian poke. The spicy garlic tuna is so good. The DHK bowl has both kalua pork and poke it is divine. Then there lemonade is so refreshing.
