Love this location between Costco and Hobby Lobby near the Millenia Mall. The outdoor patio is lovely with string lights and comfortable seating. Indoors they have the trademark Tijuana Flats graffiti murals (this one is super cool) and their hot sauce bar. Burrito is always a great choice and their bowls are huge, I was only able to tackle half of it. My only complaint is that the blackened chicken was very strong (salty and a little too much seasoning) which overpowered the taste of everything else. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Stopped by a few times to offer refills and pick up our trash. Don't forget the Cookie Dough flautas. Dip their sweet gooeyness into the chocolate dipping sauce and will come back to thank me. The food at this location used to be consistently good and fresh, not sure what happened but the last visit left much to be desired. The chips and tortilla shells for the tacos were stale, one taco was soggy, the rice in the burrito had pieces that were undercooked (hard and crispy) and there was barely any steak in the burrito, all the toppings requested were not added such as sour cream, jalapeños etc. And one of the orders came out wrong. It seems like the staff could care less about their job or serving quality food, that's my best guess. Will not be returning to this establishment. read more

Since I love Mexican I decided to check out this spot. The ambiance is eclectic. It's more Tex-Mex vs. traditional Mexican. I requested grilled onions in my quesadilla end was told they didn't have or grill onions. Yet the Classic Chimichanga came with grilled onions! It' definitely makes a difference for me! There are large portions but not very flavorful. The bathroom was also unavailable due to it being stopped up! I usually go to the Dr Phillips location, but decided to try the Millenia location once I found out it was right near my house. I placed a pick up order for Taco Tuesday and 3 tacos were beef and black bean and the one was blackened chicken and black bean. The chicken taco had maybe 4 tiny cubes of chicken inside and the beef ones were very skimpy on the meat too. Although it was my first time here, I'd like to think I'll drive a little further to the dr Phillips location, next time. read more

I loved this food a year ago, in person at the restaurant in a couple of locations. I ordered it takeout a few times a year later hoping for the same experience, but alas it was not nearly as fresh, spicy and good as the food I remembered previously. I think the management changed and they've gone to a mass manufactured food product or something, the quality is not as tasty and fresh. If you're starving it's better than straight up fast food but this food is moving toward Taco Bell quality but used to be more like taco truck. read more

Last night 2/13/2020 at around 7:15pm I called in a pick up order for a black bean chimichanga, and two hard chicken tacos. My entire chimichanga was soggy and under cooked with less than the full ingredients on top. The chicken tacos were the same way. The chips were soggy and stale. The queso was still good, and the drinks as well. Unfortunately I won't be returning to Tijuana Flats anytime soon which is a shame considering I have been a loyal customer since they originally opened. read more

It had been a long day at work and I swung by this location as it was closest to me to pick up a to go order. It was out in a few minutes when I saw my sides of black and refuted beans had accidentally been put directly on my salad. The very nice woman (who I assume was the manager) not only came back with huge sides of both beans, but also remade the salad within just a couple minutes and insisted I keep the original salad as well. I left but stepped right back inside to grab some more chips. I stood there, card in hand ready to pay, but the manager grabbed a nice large bag of them and refused to let me pay for them. Last week we went to try it out and it did not disappoint. We loved it ! My boyfriend got the mega burrito and he really loved it .it was huge filled with a lot of meat. Really good and fast Tex-mex. They have a large sauce bar with a wide variety of sauces, both sweet and spicy. The Smack My A** and Call Me Sally, is my all time favorite, I even bought a bottle to use at home. They have delicious queso and quac, and amazing seasoned tortilla chips to go along with it. I am a fan of their chimichangas, burritos, and quesadillas. They all have big portions and are well worth the money. The deserts are also something to try. Their cookie dough flautas are to die for. Their service is incredible, and the environment is very clean. Definitely a must try. read more

This place is fantastic. My wife and I were in Florida last week visiting her grandma and going to the beach. And we decided to have a little bit of Mexican foods or we all went to Tijuana Flats. It is like a fast food establishment almost because you go through have a drive-thru and you can go up to the counter and order but they bring it to you certain not really a waiter or waitress but I do bring you your food and they will occasionally fill up your drinks if they see it but a lot of the times you walk up to the cash register and ask them for another refill which can get a little annoying but that's okay. Because the food absolutely makes up for it. I got a giant burrito and it had rice and beans and cheese and sour cream and all that good fattening stuff in it. It comes with a little thing of chips on the side scoop up the stuff that falls out which is a plus. My daughter got two tacos she ate one took one home I ate it later that night and my wife got these little fried chimichanga things which were fantastic as well I think overall for the four of us to eat and drinks it was around $32 which is not that bad really at all. I wish we had one in Louisville because I would love to go to it. I would highly recommend and we will be back the next time we are in Florida. read more

Decided to get some flautas from Tijuana and I was greeted by a nice hostess. She took my order with a big smile on her and made me feel at home. I ordered a modelo, flautas and chips and queso . The chips came out right away so I had something to snack on while I waited for my food. Shortly after that I was greeted by the manager named Joey (super cool guy with a gnarly beard). He brought over my main entree and asked if there was anything additional that I needed. I asked for another beer and began to hand him my credit card when he stopped me and told me the second one was on him. You can't get a nice gesture than that. Joey made my day and I highly recommend this Tijuana flats. By far the friendliest and most caring out of all the locations. I will be returning and hope all of you decide to try it out. Then they wrongfully charged me on a Friday - did not see charges till Sunday evening aa they were closed due to Easter. Went in on Monday, showed PROOF of the double banking account charges from their restaurant to the manager and he still refused to reimburse me. Told me rudely and briskly (interrupting me constantly) to call my bank. Very unfriendly. Felt like I was being cross-examined over a total of $25. Very poor management/business skills. My SO and I both ordered the Steak Flautas. I decided to try some of the hotter hot sauces, ghost pepper and hotter one. Both were really good, if you can take it. The Flautas had steak and cheese inside a flour or wheat (we chose flour) tortilla. Then it came with lettuce, onion, jalapeños, sour cream, queso and tomatoes "toppings". This is really an awesome Tijuana flats. It's a chain, sure, but not all locations are created equal... this one has the classic food menu with the signature hot bar with their variety of fun and sometimes amazingly burning hot sauces! Beer and wine on hand (even Sangria, who knew?!) but most of all I love the design of this location. Inside there is a variety of booths and a big screen tv that has been set to sports every time I have eaten there. Outside is a cute area with picnic tables and umbrellas and pretty little lights overhead. It's really a nice spot with great friendly service. Not impressed with this location. I understand this is a 'special' concept location and I think if there are more of these types of locations it will ruin the reputation of this chain. For the record I love Tijuana Flats, but as we just recently moved to Millennia it was disappointing to see that the menu is reduced/limited and the feel of it is more like walking into a Chipotle or Wendys vs the feel of the other locations.
