Stopped by this Tijuana location for lunch to try the new shrimp bowl item. The shrimp was a nice blackened flavor. Also came with a dollop of fresh tasting guacamole. First time at this location and I can comfortably say employees at Tijuana everywhere are all so friendly. Seating inside was typical to every location as well but exceptionally clean. It's been a hot minute since I've enjoyed some TF's. I decided that tonight was the night to indulge. I ordered delivery. Arrival time said 7:15, it was a couple mins after but I'm not upset. I had a burrito with chicken, refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, onion, and sour cream, and chips and queso. Everything is AMAZING!!! I love putting the queso on my burrito! It's delicious! This is my favorite location! The staff here are by far the best trained and most friendly. They almost always get to the door before you do to open it and great you. If you pass any employees on your way to the counter they always say hello or ask if you need a menu, and you're taken care of immediately when ordering. I also find that my meals come out extremely fast here. I almost didn't even have a chance to sit down at my table before my food came out once. The staff is also very good about refilling drinks and seeing if you need anything. I always sit outside (weather permitting) when I go here. They have a big outdoor patio with speakers so you can hear the music being played inside. My food always comes out correctly and is fresh and delicious! We love Tijuana Flats, and this location is definitely a good stop. The only major issue with the particular one is the parking. If you don't see a spot right away on the front side, I highly recommend you head to the back parking lot - especially for Taco Tuesday. Usually go with the two taco or three taco meal and we like to get the chocolate chip flautas when we are super hungry. Who doesn't like chocolate chip cookie dough deep fried and in a flauta?? The staff here is really nice and attentive and you'll probably get asked several times if you want a refill on your drink or need anything, which isn't a bad thing! They have weekly specials so be sure to hit up their website and join their email listing if you are interested in getting notifications of specials and events. This place is so much fun; busy, crowded, loud, confusing, but still, so much fun just BECAUSE of all those above reasons. Stand in line next to cases of beer, snake your way towards the registers, order your food from one of many servers/cashiers, hope to find a table, and your meal will be delivered on wax-paper covered meal trays by someone yelling out your name over the din of noisy people. Make sure to order the queso and chips because it, AND soda/water, are all-you-want (even if that means asking for a goody bag to take home those queso and chips, which they will happily do for you). Everything we had was good, filling, kinda salty (thus, the bottomless beverage thing) and topped with the, what is it, 20 some odd hot sauces that you can choose at the Hot Sauce Bar. There are Tuesday and Thursday specials, so check them out since they are a great price. You can eat inside or out (WAY quieter outside under the twinkling light bulbs) walls AND ceilings are painted and graffitied up the wazoo and the noise level is loud, so there are lots of distractions. My friend and I are regular Taco Tuesday attendees at another Tijuana Flats location. We happened to be in the area this particular Tuesday and found this location. I'm so glad that we did! I really like the setup here and how the restaurant is one big, open room. I also really like that the sauces are so close to wear you order your food. Once you get done ordering, you don't have to work your way through tables to get there. The outdoor patio in front is huge and there are quite a few tables. The only challenge I could see is if it was raining because there isn't any covered seating outside. This TF is located in a small strip mall and there isn't a whole lot of parking, but we fortunately found one of the last parking spots. When we arrived, it was somewhat busy, as most of the tables were already occupied. We got to the front of the line pretty quickly and ordered our food. We were walking to our table and they were already calling my name to bring us our chips and queso. Literally, less than 5 minutes later our food was on the table. Compared to other TF, the service here is phenomenal. As always, the food was delicious. One of the aspects that I really appreciate about TF is their consistency with their food. I have been to at least 3 TF locations and everyone makes their menu items the same way. I really wish this location was closer because this would be my #1 location choice. read more

I actually was very excited to take my boyfriend (who was visiting with me) to come to this establishment. Me and my mom always came here with my family and it was great! However this time, it was horrible... none of our food had flavor. He got "Dos Tacos" and I got flautas. His tacos were identical to TacoBell, however he'd prefer TacoBell. My chicken flautas tasted as if they hadn't even added salt & pepper to the chicken. Absolutely terrible food overall. Seemed very rushed & effortless. The only thing that didn't change was the hot sauces they offer & the chips/dip. Other than that I will never be wasting my time or money on this place again. Very disappointed ! read more

Is this a joke?? I Spoke to this location twice about my order submitted through Uber eats! Uber eats refuses to refund my order. My tacos did not come with refried beans on them or the hot sauce I requested on the side. You can see in the photo that the tacos are practically empty and the tortillas were stale. I dont know why I keep coming here this is definitely my last time. First thing I noticed when walking in was the smell of trash and cigarettes. No hello from any employee just straight to "what would like" which is fine just not good customer service. especially when Jan the operating director walked past me when I was at the menu and went to the bathroom. But then the real thing that made me feel like I had to write a review was when the girl who took my order decided to release my to go bag from well above the table letting it slam into the table I was sitting at. Not professional, haven't even experienced that at a fast food restaurant I always have my bag handed to me and not slammed in front of me. So at Tijuana Flats I would expect better than that. A sorry could have fixed it but she turned around and said have a good one like it's normal behavior. I was so caught off guard I asked the dude next to me if he just saw the same thing I did, to which he said yep and went back to eating. I've never had an experience like this here but if there's one thing I'm certian of is that when Jan is there it's being managed not how it should. Oh wow I never realized that I have never left a review but I have been to this specific location several times and even when they first opened. Sadly they are not like they use to be. The customer service is ok but not the best. The food is always luke warm when you get it and kind of looks sad. I had order some Tostadas and I (don't know why) thought it came with a side of cheese, salsa and Qucamole but my mistake (I figured it out after I got back to work). But when I was asking the girl she just seemed rude about it instead of like explaining better. Anyways the little tiny bit of salad it came with was VERY little (I would have taken a pic but left my cell in the car). My wife ordered 2 Tacos and it was the same thing like some what empty and luke warm. I am not sure why they have changed. Good is awesome as always but I have to admit their portions have diminished substantially. I came here for my usual tortilla soup, use to having a bowl full of great tasting soup I was surprised to find less than half of the quantity that I have been served for over 2 years, and we come here every week. When I asked I was told the manager had told them to reduce the portions. I complained and the manager came out took the soup back and poured more water to make up the difference. This chain of restaurants has always had a place in our home. This is the closest one to our house. The management is phenomenal and the people who work there are great. Just recently an Uber eats order came to our house and was completely wrong, at the fault of the driver. Our correct order was sitting at the restaurant still. The manager took the time to come out and apologize and remake my food even though he was not at fault. We love having this restaurant run by these people in our neighborhood read more

Im so in love with Tijuana Flats! Obsessed is more like it! Ate here 3 days in a row while visiting Orlando. No matter the location I visit, their employees are always friendly, the food is delicious and their hot sauce bar can't be beat! I always get the Dos Tacos with blackened chicken and a side of queso. One of my fave hot sauces, Mongo, is being discontinued, but they suggested I could contact another location to see if they had any bottles left for sale. I'll definitely be doing that. Tijuana Flats represents a key reason why I come to Yelp: To promote businesses that I believe in. T-Flats is a small chain that does Tex-Mex in a fun, vibrant way. I understand that the owner graduated from UCF! The food is pretty standard Tex-Mex fare: tacos, enchiladas, flautas, chimchanga, burritos, salads... And everything I've tried is either good or great. I recommend the flautas or the dos enchiladas with either green or red sauce. The one thing that sets this place apart from other mexican huts is the HOT BAR. You can choose from about 12 different hot sauces, ranging from sweet and garlicy to "melt your face off"?! Each hot sauce gives you a description of what it is. You can feel free to explore new sauces each time you go back. The signature T-Flats sauce is 'Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally", and there are variations of that as well. I particularly like this location, because it's new and easy for me to get to. Additionally the staff is very friendly and they make you feel welcome. The dining area is very clean, and the servers/workers make sure to keep it that way. Big points there. The girls also walk around and ask you if you need anything. "Can I get you a refill sweetie?" Wow! I feel like that is top notch service. You won't get service like that at most places without dedicated servers. The decor is bright and fun. This place buries other local Tex-Mex restaurants. Think twice before going to the cold, industrial zone that is Chipotle, or the veritable dumpster that is PR's.... I do not recommend this place. Their food was cold the times I've gone. Why did I go back? To give these guys the benefit of the doubt. There food is reasonably priced and is of great quality! Everyone of my family members loves this place and we are all fans. I would recommend the floutas. They are super filling and very tasty! They also serve beer and wine, and the chips & salsa are awesome! And if you are into heat, they have an incredibly diverse "heat bar" that will satisfy even the bravest of souls! Tijuana Flats is my guilty pleasure. It's probably the best quick-service dining option in the Central Florida area... and this location is excellent. On my last visit, one of the young women working there opened the door for me when I arrived and when I left. The woman who took my order was very friendly. And even though I ordered my food to go, I was offered a drink refill before hitting the road. As for the food, it satisfies my cravings for salsa, guac and spice. I usually order a salad... simple, fresh and delicious. And the hot sauce bar is the icing on the cake. I usually end up with about 8 different sauces. They're all so good and it's hard to pick just one. I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because this location is very busy and can get loud at times... lots of traffic with childrens' sports teams every time I'm in here. My family loves Tijuana Flats! I have loved everything I have tried so far, though it's hard for me to get away from the amazing flautas. Any place that makes sweet tea that good will always have my vote. The atmosphere is warm and upbeat with celebrity autographs adorning the walls. The patio seating is also perfect for younger children who may have a tough time sitting still. The staff has been exceptional for each visit and are very accomodating. I agree with a previous reviewer, the hot bar is awesome and really sets any meal off. No matter which meal you decide on, I guarantee you will walk out completely full! Tijuana Flats Catering for any event is super easy. Manager at this location sat down and went over all the options and any combinations (half chicken/half steak) I wanted. Tijuanna Flats is just plain good. Whenever I want Tex-Mex this is the place i go and it never gets old. I love the burritos, tacos, and salads. The sauce bar contains the sweet chili sauce, which in my opinion is the best sauce in the world. The staff is friendly in all the locations I have ever been to, including locations in Winter Park, Downtown Orlando, Edgewater, and Winter Springs. My favorites are "Smack My Sweet Ass and Call me Sally", "Jason's Mom Sauce", and Georgia Peach and Vidalia Onion Sauce. I'm gonna have to try them all someday.
