Relatively quick service, friendly staff, though parking in the area is hit or miss (there are not many spots directly in front of the door so you might have to park around back). I keep coming back and the abundance of good food, salsa (caliente!) and smiling waitresses and helpful staff make it a pleasure to do so. This is one of my favorite locations for this restaurant chain, especially do to the fact there is one waitress who I have not yet seen break out of a smile. My first visit to a Tijuana Flats was at this location. A friend dragged my through the door, kicking and screaming. I wish he hadn't - I am now addicted. The following is true of ALL Tijuana Flats that I have been to (Orange Ave, Summerlin Ave, University, College Park, Melbourne, Narcoossee, Sand Lake): The food is ALWAYS delicious. Everything I have ordered (everything on the menu) is FRESH. Only the fish has ever seen a freezer. The food is ALWAYS prepared properly The hot bar is something I am not sure I could continue living without. They know how to make sweet tea, and the execution is flawless (Orange ave has orange slices that can be added for extra awesome). The dining area is ALWAYS clean The service is ALWAYS friendly, fast and efficient. $4.99 taco Tuesdays (2 tacos, chips and a drink) I have visited Tijuana Flats locations a few hundred times. NOT ONCE have I had a complaint. If every business were run like this we would not need yelp. i was craving some tostadas for lunch today before class and so i went with my brother and we waited for 20 or more minutes to get our food and even then, my brother had to go up and ask them how much longer it was going to take and they had the food ready but they never bought it out to us so our food was cold by the time we ate it. So i was very disappointed in this tijuana location. The people were nice but it just made me sad that the tostadas were cold and how it took so long while people were getting their food within 7-10 minutes of ordering but we had waiting double that and we ordered before them. read more

My coworker and I eat here every Thursday. This is by far my favorite TFlats! The staff is amazing, especially Mo (Morgan) who greets us by name every week. Being greeted by name is huge for me. I worked in sales for over 20 years and this is one of the best ways to retain customers. Everyone wants to have a guy or girl that remembers them when they visit the store/restaurant/etc. I have been eating at TFlats every week for over a decade (I'd eat TFlats 5 times a week if my wife would cosign my cravings for their food). The kitchen staff, whom I've never met, work hard at creating this amazing food, you guys need recognition for all the hard work you guys do!! Thank you!!! I have 2 TFlat locations within a 4 mile radius from my home in the Winter springs area and this one is consistently the best. Also a side note... Jerimiah's Italian ice is in the same plaza, they share a wall. My two favorite places, You can't go wrong with this combo. Been here 4 times. The staff is always friendly. Greeted us at the door. Came over several times to see if we needed refills. Food is tasty and plentiful. Usually comes with crispy nacho chips. There are little cups to let you taste the many different sauces that come in varieties from sweet to burn the back of you head off! Good Stuff! read more

I am a huge Tijuana Flats fan overall. Unfortunately, this location has dropped the ball on 4 different occasions in the last 6 orders I have had. From literally doing the opposite of everything I ordered (asked for no dairy and no onions on a chicken burrito, got chicken with only dairy and onions on it); my to-go order not being sent back and arriving 20 minutes later only to wait another 15 minutes for them to send it back and make it; to only getting one of my 2 items I ordered to-go; to the chips being left out of my to-go order. The management provided a gift card and comped the most recent meal, as I voiced my concern that issues had occurred in 4 out of my last 6 visits. I guess the moral of the story is that they struggle with their to-go order process. Once they get it correct, it tastes great! read more

Only a few people in the restaurant when we arrived last night at about 8pm. We were seen by two of the waitresses on the patio, but not served. After quite a wait, we left. Surprised in this economy that restaurants will just let customers walk. Not a good first impression. Went to Oh Boys and had a good meal and very fast service-the chicken tenders are killer! NOTE: Later, I was sent emails form other members (Thanks!) explaining that customers order first from the counter, then the waiter/waitress delivers it to your table. AAARGH! Why did I ever go back to this location? I called in an order for pickup on my way there. By time they finally came back from having me on hold, I was almost there. I place my order anyway, just two orders of enchiladas, a side of guac and two sides of beans. The girl who took my order says, it will take around 7-8 minutes. I pull in and go in to pay. Same girl that took my order just a few seconds before takes my money and I go get some hot sauces and sit down. Now, when I walked in there were only TWO tables occupied, so it was mostly empty. I sat and waited for my food for well over twenty minutes. The same girl who took my order walked around the dining room several times and never once made eye contact or said a word to me. In the mean time a family of four had ordered their food and was half way through eating it. Finally another girl asked what name my order was under, I told her and she disappeared into the back. Eventually, after another wait, she came out with my order. When I checked I had no chips to go with my guacamole, so, I asked for some chips and waited a few more minutes for those. The only person I ever saw that looked like they might be a "Manager" was a guy in a black shirt with a notebook walking around who eventually sat down at a table to read his notes. The girl who got my order did mutter a half-hearted sorry for your wait, but REALLY? That was the best they could do after I had been waiting a half hour for my food? And, I know how long it was because I can look at the phone log entry and see when I was on the call just before I pulled into the parking lot. Hey, if anybody sees me in the vicinity of this Tijuana Flats and I even look like I might be thinking of going there and giving them some of my dough, STOP ME and get me some help! I've always been a fan of Tijuana Flats and this new location is just as great as all the others. When I walked in someone greeted me and directed me to the appropriate line. The Sunday after-church crowd can get, well, crowded; but the crew seems to handle it fine. They also have live music on Friday nights and a great patio area. Tijuana Flats was doing "all natural" way before Chipotle came along and they do it way better. Plus, Tijuana Flats is the only place I know of that offers a "power-lite" option, that's light sour cream and light cheese. Now that they are close to my work and my church, I too, have found myself craving them more and more and more and more and more! read more

Long story short. Came in, ordered 3 beef tacos, ate one (sucked) and leave. After a couple of hours started to feel sick, then came the vomit and after that the fever. The parking situation is a bit annoying if you are trying cross orange to get in to there. The place itself is on par with the other Tijuana Flats I've been to. The Flautas were delicious and the staff made accommodations for the large group of classmates that showed up. read more

This place is awesome!! The food is outstanding and the staff is very friendly! I came at lunch one day (big mistake), and the line was soooo long. Two guys came in and cut everyone and unfortunately a manager wasn't there to help with people control. I even told these jerks the line ended back there (pointing) and they lied and said they were with the people in front of me. If there were no such things as jails, I would have decked the guy when I saw him and his buddy laughing because they cut 6 people. We were excited to try this place since we were missing Texas and it's great Tex-Mex. Sadly, this disappoints. It is not Mexican and I even have a hard time calling it Tex-Mex. Maybe Florida-Mex?? I ordered the fish tacos. I got ONE tiny taco. There was a small piece of fish in it. My tummy was still rumbling when we left. Husband and I eat here frequently as its a close location to were we live. Its a great place for lunch and dinner. It has great tacos and burritos and spicey sauces. We also order the chocolate & peanut butter dessert. Which is always quite yummy. Again, it's a great location, food is good, waiters and waitress are friendly, but if its busy parking can be quite a pain. There is seating inside and also seating outside if you want to enjoy the fresh afternoon air. This place a great place to hang out with friends. I wouldn't recommend this as a romantic date place though as it can get quite loud. read more

This location is consistent with the rest of the chain - quality ingredients, served fresh, plenty of hot sauce selection, and of course, the crazy neon murals on the walls. It's Tex Mex, so don't go in expecting any sort of fancy experience. But the atmosphere is loud and the food arrives relatively fast, so it's great for folks with kids. read more

Awesome customer service, everyone had a smile on their face and it didn't looked forced or fake. Food came out very quickly and everything was just as I asked. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio with a ton of seating. Overall very happy!! The only complaint that I would have (and have always had, even when I worked at a TF 9 years ago) I wish they wouldn't call out names, it usually always interrupts everyone's meal when they call one name more than once and the room goes silent. Very awkward. They should just give out a number like Crispers. A non verbal way of communicating. read more

Great food but at lunch time it gets very busy and you get neglected at the tables. Although there were huge lines they moved us through quickly. Couldnt get drink refills as there were not enough servers to go around. Rice and beans should come with the meal for the price but it was tasty. read more
