I don't know why this place is getting bad reviews. Our breakfast this morning was delicious. Our server was attentive but not overly so and our breakfast was oit in 20 minutes. We went and had breakfast the other day and we were very impressed with it! They have this amazing butter that taste like a maple cinnamon butter to go on their pancakes and such we were so pleased that we thought we would go back today with some of my family. The Reuben sandwich was just OK my cousin was getting the salad bar and our waitress brought her a tiny tiny bowl to put the salad bar in. Our server Elisabeth R was not at all attentive not rude but my husband had to get up every time and go ask her if we could have a refill on our sodas. Then when she asked if we wanted dessert I said I would like another refill she took it and we had to hunt her down and remind her that we needed another refill. I don't mind people being new or not understanding some things however never never never coming to see if we needed anything is not the kind of service I would think they would want for their customers . I also ordered a sundae and asked if they had hot fudge she said yes she brought me back this Sunday which was very very melted and I thought well the hot fudge melted it no it was not hot fudge it was chocolate I tasted it and I knew it was not hot fudge. We called her over and said this doesn't taste like hot fudge she said "oh no we don't have hot fudge sorry I thought we did"It's very unacceptable to take a patron something that they did not order and just assume they will eat it. We went there for the first time yesterday and Wii definitely be going back! Service was excellent! We stayed quite awhile after our meal and paying but he kept refilling our drinks. The food was really good! I had Chicken and waffles, you can choose from strips or bone in chicken. I had the bone in chicken and it was the best chicken I've had in along time! We ate at Tim's Kitchen on Sunday evening. We ordered a coffee and a water. Our server, Ashley, brought our drink order and took our food requests. The coffee cup was filthy with lipstick smudges all around the rim. Ashley seemed to disappear and we flag the hostess. She removed the coffee and returned with a new cup of coffee. After waiting for over twenty minutes with no contact with Ashley. Daniel then come to our table and said our "ticket" was lost and they were redoing our order. Note: Ashley has yet to come by and say anything. She was unable to even make eye contact. Daniel then seemed to take over for which we were very appreciative. When we got our food the chicken order was very definitely over done and the macaroni and cheese was not very warm. We have eaten at Tim's Kitchen several times and have always been pleased,,,enough so we have returned. My first experience with Tim's Kitchen, and I was not disappointed. I was craving some true comfort food. I wanted a real chicken pot pie and found one on their menu. I ordered for curb side praying it would be tasty. My order came out to me right on time. The server was very kind and respectful. I got home and I took a bite before I even got it out of the box. So good! Flakey crust, creamy gravy and just the right ratio of meat veggies and gravy. I could only eat half, it was a very generous portion. The pie came with a side salad, and a huge, home made drop biscuit with a scoop of yummy sweet butter. Everything hit the spot. My southern soul and stomach are happy campers!! I had chicken tenders with mac and cheese and potato salad. Chicken was very flavorful, not greasy. Mac and cheese was okay - not the best but far, far from the other sh** I have had here. Potato salad was yummy. Boyfriend had the cheeseburger amd steak fries. Our first visit was in 2020 or early 2021. This hole in a wall spot. Mouthwatering, satisfying, flavorful, and presentation and portion is appetizing to the eyes then the tummy! I tried this spot for a breakfast date with my other half. We cook with flavor and difficult to impress since we have been told that we are good cooks ourselves but, were we impressed from start to finish. I enjoy that hometown friendly service you get when you walk in and while being serviced..IT'S A TOTAL HOMETOWN COOKING VIBE!! That's what I love and what makes it better is that the food DOES NOT have that frozen burnt meat taste and microwaved taste. lol I ordered the chicken fried chicken and to be honest, this has been my favorite chicken fried chicken thus far...I have ordered it since at several restaraunts and nothing beats it. The sides and the portions are just right and the batter flavor is well balanced to our tasting. We do take out for dinner or lunch, We dine in here and there but, more take out and its even good the next day warmed up. We definitely want to visit the original location in Orting one of these days, it's been recommended. Keep up the good hometown fresh food taste and great service! My sister and I wanted to try Tim's, so we went in and ordered the Monte Cristo sandwiches. After over a 25 minute wait, the food came lukewarm. . . with inferior meat and cheese. Ham and turkey slices were package meat, not deli fresh sliced, and the cheese wasn't melted. The diced potatoes were rubbery. We ended up eating very little of any of it! Went here on a recommendation. Of 10 people in the party about 1/2 of the orders were OK. Average but ok. For the rest of us the food left a lot to be desired. Everyone who had chicken in their meal found it to be overcooked and very dry. I can only speak to the Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine. The chicken was so dry that I finally gave up trying to moisten it with the sauce and just picked it out and left it. The fettuccine noodles were average, but the sauce was the absolute worst I have ever had. It was so overloaded with parmigiana that it had a gritty dry taste to it. It was almost a paste. The garlic toast that came with it had a fishy taste which we put down to probably using an imitation garlic, either that or the bread was used to pat dry the salmon. Portions between the 3 of us who ordered it were inconsistent with what I would consider to be from small to average portions. Ambiance was American diner. Service was generally ok, but I am afraid that if it had been busy there would have been problems. On a side note the salad bar is most definitely not worth the cost. This restaurant seems to be our go-to now. Never been dissatisfied no matter who I go with. I've been for breakfast twice, lunch twice and going again today because I know it will taste yummy. The service has been great from the minute you walk in. The hostess, Alexis, is very friendly and welcoming. The entire staff has been great in my opinion. Very soon my husband will be joining me for a dinner here to test their prime rib and see if horseradish is hot, ground, and blow your head off good. There's a lot to be said when you see a restaurant or diner or any location for that fact with a line out the door. we've been wanting to try this place for a while but there's always a line and we don't always feel like waiting. On this particular morning we walked in and didn't see much of a wait. We did not have to wait too long to be seated but once we were at our table that's where a lot of our waiting happened. It took an unusual amount of time for a waitress to even come and acknowledge that we had been seated well she did return with our drinks quickly it took another while before she came and took our order. I understand more than ever that many locations are shortstaffed and overworked so we patiently waited for our food. I have to say my only hangup is the music it's really annoying when you go to location that is supposed to be welcoming and family friendly it's just blaring rock music so early in the morning not my cup of tea but it could be yours. I thought arrived about 20-30 minutes later not too bad. Everything was tasty cooked well and was what you would expect from a breakfast place I haven't tried the dinner or lunch so I don't have much to speak on those but as far as a breakfast place this place is as pretty good as you're going to find around this area. In terms of value I'd say it's pretty fair, good portions, great prices and like I said it is family friendly but the music is some thing I just didn't care too much for so early in the morning. I'd give it a try again maybe next lunch or dinner. read more
