We had to wait a while for food but it was worth the wait! My husband got pad Thai and I got the Bangkok Noodle Bowl. I usually get pad Thai but wanted to try something different. My book club dined here recently, and ordered a variety of dishes. Not only did our food arrive quickly, our orders came out exactly right, and the staff very graciously allowed us to sit and discuss the book long after we had finished eating, without making us feel rushed. Great place and reasonable prices! Whenever I come here, they are never slammed. I usually see families and groups of older people drinking wine, and occasionally some young adults. I came on a Friday around 7/7:30 and a few groups were here but it was not packed. Service was awesome. We had the smiliest ( if that's a word) waiter and he was so upbeat about working there! Made for an awesome experience! Also, the manager came around and asked how we liked the food. It was pretty cool! I think she and one of the other cooks were actually Thai. A lot of the other workers were American. No issue though! Just an observation. I've had their pad Thai before which you can never go wrong with. My mom got this and loved it! She had so much that she brought it home! I got the Bangkok noodle bowl which was noodles with vegetables in some kind of sauce. With a spice level of 2, it was enough heat to make your nose run and your lips burn! Great flavors though! My sister got the Thai classic peanut chicken. It tasted very similar to the panang curry. My older sister got the latter. They both got a spice level of 3. They enjoyed it! They thought the spice level was just fine though one of my sisters said she should've gotten a 2. My dad got the spiced coriander chicken. He said the chicken was tender and flavorful but he felt like it wasn't the best. Anyway, great spot to eat! No need to worry about a wait time! Time 4 Thai has been our go-to Thai restaurant in Louisville since it opened in 2016. The food is consistently stellar, genuinely Thai, and beautifully presented. Pavana and her staff are kind, friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and will easily cater to particular tastes (including serving spicy dishes spicy, for those of us who like it hot). I've traveled through Thailand, and T4T is the closest Louisville comes to eating there. read more

But when the meals arrived they were dressed up with sparse protein on top and lacking quality ingredients throughout the dishes. Then when the check came the prices were a dollar or more above the menu prices for each item. when I went online the menu page said prices had increased . They should warn you. What a great surprise while visiting Louisville for a dance competition. My family and I LOVE Thai and it's very hard to impress, especially when we have great restaurants in our home town BUT there is a new #1, with Time for Thai. The food was seasoned to perception, with large portions and great customer service. You can tell the dishes were made with love and we felt it with every bite. This was my first time eating Thai food, and I'm still a little unsure about it. There is no reason to dock Time 4 Thai any stars just because the flavors may not be my favorite; we had nothing but a great experience here. Walking into a cozy restaurant where the air is saturated with the inviting aroma of spices and good cooking is always a great way to begin a meal. Add to that a super friendly and knowledgeable server, and you end up with a very pleasant evening out. Appetizers were Long Life Rolls served with chili sauce and Satay Chicken served with peanut sauce and a cucumber/red onion salad. Everything was cooked perfectly. The rolls were crispy without being greasy, and the chicken was tender enough to cut with a fork. I wasn't a huge fan of either, but again, that's just my pallette speaking. My favorite dinner date, who grew up eating satay, had no complaints and finished what I didn't. I decided to play it safe with my entree, and went with Spicy Eggplant with Basil Sauce. Now, this is what will get me back in the door! Perfectly cooked veggies in an extraordinarily flavorful sauce, served with a side of white rice; I ate every bite. If you're looking at my picture of this yummy concoction and thinking, "Um...I don't know"; don't judge the book by its cover. I expected my pad Thai to be really spicy since I order a 4....there no spice to it what so ever. The sauce was way too salty and the noodle was not cooked thoroughly . S ordered pineapple fried rice level 3 on the spice. Once again, not even a kick of heat in it. But the fried rice itself was way too sweet! Please, if you can't remember the order.....write it down. The place wasn't even busy! You definitely mess up on the spice level. Ok, maybe I can let go of the server not refilling our water even though they clearly see it was half empty.....but there was a table who return their dish due to being allergic to broccoli. The guy told the server that they were allergic to it. They took the dish back and basically just took out the broccoli. Not even caring that the guy was allergic! The guy later found broccoli underneath his noodle dish. I'm sure the guy was very upset, I would too! I don't think I would consider this place as the "best Thai place" in Louisville. Time 4 Thai was once a five star rating for me, I actually came to an unpublished draft to review over. Their service is still prompt, however they have change the menu items without changing the menu and this for me is a problem. It shows to me that they care about their bottom line keeping the same prices but lowering quality. I ordered the Bangkok noodle bowl to go. The menu explicitly says egg noodles. When I got home it was rice noodles. When you order a dish with egg noodles, you should get egg noodles not rice noodles. Take time to change the menu. Also the tom yum noodle dish is delicious. However it was more delicious with the right noodles. And now comes with a thin bed pan Rice noodle that doesn't collect the broth the same way. So dishes that used to be served with flat rice noodles are now served with thin rice noodles and egg noodle dishes are now rice noodle. I had to process a review, but when I called back to say something the only thing they offered was me to bring the dish back in and they would make it properly. Even suggest i change in the dish to a totally different dish. No compensation for my time or the fact that my partners food was gonna be cold by the time I did this. No apology for the change. I Expect better customer service out of a restaurant. Not an excuse that egg noodles are hard to get and a oh yeah we did that a couple months ago. To me that's just pulling something over your customers and to me that's not OK. Rewrite the menu. Offer service to your customers when you are in the wrong. Not weak excuses. I thought I needed to write this because if you're going to get noodles be cautious. I've had lunch here several times since moving to Louisville. I've tried other Thai restaurants in town but haven't been impressed with the food. The décor is simple, tasteful and unique and the menu has most of the dishes I'm familiar with. One thing that sets this place apart is the willingness to make dishes not on the menu. Every time I ask, she has made me what I requested and charged me a fair price based on similar entrees on the menu. Unfortunately, the service isn't consistent; sometimes good, sometimes horrid. I admire the owner for her food and customer service, but not for the way she manages her staff. On multiple occasions, I've heard her yell at the waitstaff and put them down for asking questions or not getting enough information from orders. Every time I go there for lunch the waitstaff is different. I'm not surprised based on the way she publicly humiliates people that work for her. This is most likely the reason for the inconsistency. T4T caught my eye when I went to The Hub as I had to park so far away I walked past the ornate looking T4T. Again when I went to this part of Frankfort Ave there was NO PARKING. So little that a mail lady near where I parked (at least 2 blocks away) asked what was going on and I had to say I had no idea but that this happens with some frequency. I was seated immediately, though that's not surprising for lunch on a Saturday. The decor is nice and looks quite ornate in a way really only an Asian restaurant can pull off. I know very little about Thai food so I ordered pad Thai as it is easily the best known dish. They have a 1-5 spice level and I ordered a 2 which is medium. I received my meal in probably 5 minutes or less. The pad Thai had a rich and complex flavor. I had pad Thai when I was but a wee lad and thought it tasted like cat food. Either this is much better or my palate has been redone but this doesn't taste like cat food. The noodles feel fresh and chewy and the bean sprouts added a nice crunch. In terms of spice I don't think this was spicy in any sense. 1 must be very bland if this has more spice. I'm not a spice nut but I'd definitely get a spicier option next time. I got beef in my pad Thai and that was a mistake. The beef was tough, dried out, and ultimately flavorless. It felt like the beef had just been sitting out for a while The service was good but nothing particularly stand out. They refilled my water a couple times. This trip was sort of a mixed bag to me. Time 4 Thai is hands down the most flavorful Thai I've found so far in the Lou. Ali and I binged seven different menu items, including: cheese pockets, spring rolls, Tom yum, Thai wings, pad kee mao, eggplant and Thai dumplings. The cheese pockets were Ali's favorite; perfect amounts of of cream cheese and crab wrapped in a wonton and lightly fried. The spring rolls are large and heavy on the lettuce. I've yet to find a perfectly balanced spring roll in Louisville. The Thai wings are on the smaller side, but pack mild flavor and are good to share. Thai dumplings come in a four pack and are the size of a small tangerine each. There's a ton of bold flavors packed in each one, including notes of chestnut. Definitely on the list for future orders. Let's talk about the stars of the show. Being Asian I have a slight bias when ordering "hot" or "Thai hot" food. Most restaurants don't cater to the heat levels that I'm used to. I enjoy the noodles at Simply Thai very much, but their level 5 is mild at best. Time 4 Thai does not disappoint. When you ask for a 5, you're going to get a 5. The Tom Yum was an incredible balance of sour and hot and loaded with mushrooms which made Ali very happy. Honestly, it was too spicy. Now we know to order level 4 on the soup. Pad kee mao is my go-to Thai noodle dish. I like that Time 4 Thai adds more veggies than some of the other spots in town. Flavorful, spicy and savory. The sautéed eggplant with rice was my favorite thing we ate. The eggplant is cooked perfectly without the "mushy" mouth-feel. Complimented with chicken and an array of veggies, the eggplant stole the show. Overall, our experience with Time 4 Thai is an A+. Ok my first time eating this but will not be my last! The tofu was in a yellow curry satay season and the peanut sauce was the absolute best I have ever tasted! This is $7.50 and the amount was really good. Also the long life rolls and chicken wings which are $ 5.00 and $ 6.50 respectively. The wings had a little spice to it that was just right. Golden brown and juicy. The chef made a suggestion as I wanted some fish. I had the tilapia in a ginger sauce that was melt in your mouth good . About 17 dollars. The atmosphere in this restaurant is warm and inviting. The service from all staff is friendly and engaging. Everyone takes great pride in what is offered here and the food doesn't disappoint. This is my new favorite Thai place in Louisville. It is located on Frankfort ave across from the grape leaf. Parking could be a problem but this place is well worth the effort to get here. Just got dessert of coconut ice cream with sticky rice all homemade and soul warming. Everything I have eaten today has made me so happy I am doing my happy dance in my seat. If you see my reviews during the pandemic, I've been having a lot of cravings for particular foods that I'm not very good at making at home myself. The day that I went to the Time four Thai, I was craving drunken noodles or pad Kee Mao. I have decided to go for a walk on Frankford Avenue and I thought timer for time would be a great option to get drunk and noodles. I knew that they had a lot of carry out options available and I figure I would go for my walk and then pick up my food. I ordered be calling them and was told that my order would take about 20 minutes. This was perfect since by the time I walked back my food was ready. I had drunken noodles and Thai iced tea that I brought home. The way they packaged my food kept my meal very warm. The drunken noodles were tasty and delicious. The fried tofu added to them was well cooked and not rubbery, which can be hard to do sometimes. The thai iced tea was delicious. This was the perfect meal to hit the spot. A friend and I went for lunch on a Saturday after discussing how intrigued we were w/this new place on Frankfort Ave. There was only one other table of two when we arrived. Kind of a sign for Sat at noon in Clifton. PROS - nice interior decor, friendly wait staff; interested owner (she came out and greeted every guest); lightening fast food service; fresh and pretty tasty food. CONS - young wait staff that didn't make clear that lunch was only on weekdays (even though we were presented w/lunch menu and referred to this page when asking questions; portions on small size for full, dinner price entrees; fried appetizer (small and on the pricey side to begin with) that was cold in the middle (and some almost cremated after being refried before being re-served) I was really hoping for a Thai Siam quality place as it's so close to home. Wow! First, you get quite a welcome upon arrival. The place has been through many transformations, but this time it is a bright and cheery colorful room with beaded pillows, gold stenciled walls and assorted clocks. The liquor license is still on hold, but they assured me it is coming. My husband and I enjoyed Japanese beer, daughter had the thai tea. Our vegetable dumplings were so light, they melted in your mouth. The sauce was delicious. I had mixed seafood in a cashew vegetable sauce. It was outstanding! I ordered a spice level of one and it was perfect. My husband has Beef Massaman Curry, level two. It, too,was delicious and the spice levels seemed consistent. Interesting, there was avocado in the dish, I've never seen that. My daughter enjoyed her Pad Woonsen, but at spice level five, I passed on a taste test. The menu is much more extensive than any other thai restaurant in Louisville. There are many appetizers, several duck entrees and some interesting Chef Specialties. One of those is the Volcano Cornish hen, which is brought out flaming on a vertical stand . It looked very good! Service was excellent, as was presentation and timing. I feel bad about this review, but I can't say that my visit was spectacular. The good: The food was made FAST. Like, shockingly so! But...there were also only 4 people in the place. The food, in general, tasted good. The chef came out to say hi and thank us for coming in. She was sweet. The ambiance and decor is nice. The not good: The lunch menu is only for weekdays. It does not say this anywhere on the menu, neither did our server tell us this as we were ordering and clearly pointing to and ordering off the prominently displayed lunch page. This meant that my meal cost (after looking at the menu online to prepare) was $11.50 instead of $8. It's not a huuuuge difference, but it is certainly substantial. The tofu pad thai was tasty, but I had hoped that the tofu would come fried, to give the dish a bit more texture. Again, it tasted fine, just not a lot of texture variety. My friend and I also ordered the "crispy cheese bags"...which are tiny crab rangoon-y type things. When they first came out, they were cold in the center still.
