I visited Timeland for the first time on a Wednesday. I came in needing a new watch battery for my old watch and to buy two Seiko watches that I had my eye for a long time. I was met by a very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable three person staff, Penny, James, and New. To my delight they had the two Seiko watches I wanted to purchase. New put in the watch battery I needed for my old watch, he adjusted my two Seiko watch bracelets, and he showed me an another watch that I may be interested in for the future. Well, as it turned out I returned three days later on a Saturday to purchase that other watch I was interested in. This time Penny, James, and New all assisted me because I went crazy seeing all the great selection of watches in their cases. On this day I purchased the Blue dial Citizen I wanted, and I also a purchased a White dial Citizen. I asked Penny about a nice lightweight dress watch, too, and she showed me a beautiful super lightweight Citizen Suratto Blue Dial. I tried it on and it was perfect, I had to have that watch, too. So Penny, James, and New adjusted my new watch bracelets, filled out my watch purchase cards for me, and rang up my order. What a Super Team!!! I was extremely happy! Over a two day period I bought two Seiko's and three Citizen Watches. All of them beautiful! I also made great friendships with the Penny, James, and New. All wonderful people. As I was there I also spoke to other customers in the store who all raved about how wonderful Timeland is and that they were all repeat customers. So, i've been looking for a watch shop that specialize in japanese watches (seiko) and found this gem here in yelp. Based on their 470+ 5 star reviews, they're the best of the best in West LA area.. (Which is a fact, based on today's experience) I originally came here for my 1970's Seiko LM part replacement. The lady owner immediately know what to do and have her watch expert technician worked on it and fixed it under an hour. She also charged me a very fair amount for the service which i think is very generous and honest pricing compared to other watch shops in the area. As i've waited for my watch to finish wandering around the store glancing on their beautiful watch displays, a Limited Reissue Seiko 5 caught my attention.. The lady owner (forgot to ask her name) so kindly offered me to fit the watch and even gave me a very good discount! Which is is too good to refuse (for real)! So i ended up getting a new watch (unplanned). It's my first time at this shop but already, i know that i'll be a customer for life. Timeland customer service checked all the boxes for me. Customer oriented, knowledgeable and they always give best honest watch advice to customers without thinking of selling you anything. Seiko 5 Sports "Time-Sonar" watch. Store owner, Penny, was very kind to me and offered me a good deal on this watch. This watch was carefully tested and bracelet was resized to fit my wrist perfectly. I switched out the bracelet to strap for more casual look once I got home. I had come here once before to get a wooden watch sized, and they did a great job. So, today I came in to see if they could size and fix my late Grandmother's watch for me. I was really nervous because it's quite old, and the stonework accents on the band were done by a Native American silversmith/jeweler. That kind of work can be messed up *irreparably* if handled incorrectly and polished with any kind of liquid solution. So I was hesitant to try to take it somewhere and get it worked on. They sized it perfectly in a jiffy. The watch face was broken inside, so they offered to repair it, but at my request, the woman helped me pick out a new one instead. I definitely appreciated that they didn't try any funny upselling stuff with me on the new face. I realized that I had totally opened myself up to getting ripped off, but that they didn't take advantage of it. The new watch face I bought was reasonably priced and came with a warranty. Really impressive business conduct!! Then came the scary part. I asked how to take care of it/clean it, and they offered to polish it for me. I handed it over and explained that it shouldn't be done with solution. The woman had the guy behind the counter show me that he was just using a cloth. She said, "Don't worry, we know what we're doing." I was so relieved! I've heard horror stories of jewelers ruining Native-made jewelry, not knowing it needs special treatment. I'm so thankful there was a quality, experienced business that I could trust. The polish job got rid of a LOT of tarnish on the band accents, too! I came in during the last hour of business, so I was expecting I'd have to leave the watch overnight. But the whole process: sizing, repairing a broken pin, assessing the old face, then helping me choose a new face and installing it, then polishing, took less than 30 minutes! I am SO happy about this. It really means a lot to me. My Grandma hated to waste things, especially nice things. She taught me to mend what I have, not throw it away. I'm so glad Timeland was here to make that possible. She would have been so pleased with the amazing job they did. My Grandma's old watch has a new lease on life thanks to Timeland. read more

I came here for the first time on Saturday to get my seiko fitted with Nu, he did an amazing job and I asked if I could get my other seiko with a bad bracelet fixed. Told me to bring it in so I did. When I brought the bad bracelet, they did me even better than fixing it.. they had a brand new replacement one that's the same rare bracelet for the model I had for such an amazing deal. 30 bucks!
