I had 7 watches I had repaired at Timeland from Rolex, Movado, Seiko, Mark Ecko, Citizen. Every watch was fixed except for one that was missing a piece that goes into the watch. I think I know where the missing piece is at and are responsible for the missing parts. I took it to a different jewelry & watch store on Washington past Crenshaw. There's a shopping center in the plaza and there was a watch repair store in the plaza. I will never go back there. The 2 ladies who were there working asked me to leave my watch there with them to get them fixed. They said that they had another shop and that they would send it to them to get repaired. I said no longer than one day and they said yes. I left and as soon as I got home I realized that they didn't give me a receipt for the watch repair. I tried calling them on the business card they gave me, not a receipt. I called the phone number and it was never answered by anyone. I went back to the shop and I asked for my watch back. One of the ladies asked me for a receipt and I told her that she never gave me one. The other lady recognized me and said that she was sorry, and she gave me back my watch. The guy who was working on the repair center said he would fix it and they told me to leave it there for a couple of days to get it fixed because they didn't have the right parts for my Seiko Gold plated watch. The lady who was working there never gave me a receipt for it so the next day I went back to pick up my watch. I told her that nobody ever gave me a receipt but they couldn't fix my watch. I took it back from them and I have a feeling that they took out the parts of the watch out and kept the original parts. So I took my watch to the repair shop I was recommended by a friend, to Timeland is the best place to go get your watches repaired. They are very reliable and honest!! I always get watch batteries replaced here, which they do while you wait. I recently needed the movement replaced in one of my watches because a battery corroded. I asked them whether it was worth repairing, and they told me the watch was worth more than twice the cost of the repair. I checked the price of the watch online, and they were exactly right. As soon as the parts arrived, they did the repair and called me to pick it up. They have also shortened a watch bracelet that was too long to fit me. That took them only two or three minutes. The owners are very honest, reliable, professional, and skilled. I can't say enough good things about the guys who work at timeline. I went in there to fix a submarine Rolex watch from the 60s and for some reason they were able to fix the metal band. Watch was working fine but it took me over an hour to have them get it together, but sure enough they came through found the part that we needed and proceeded to make it look brand new polished the crystal and I must say They did an excellent job. You need a battery. This is the place to go. They're honest they make sure that the batteries are always working conditions so that one they put it into your watch or clock. You know that it's new and that it is very functional. I can't see enough good things about them and they don't price you they honestly know what they're doing and take some time sometimes, but I was able to wait and had my guy fix it while I waited. if you need a quick fix and it's just a battery change I'll do it right then and there and if you need anything more that's involved you might have to wait or wait and come back the next day to pick it up other than that, they're fantastic. Time Land has been in business for 37 years with me coming here for 15 and they are THE BEST. I love watches and they do too. They are affordable, knowledgeable and honest. They make you feel welcome and have fantastic speed of service. I have a watch that I love so much that no one could help with and they solved the issue on my first visit while I was in store this time. And all of my issues in the past 15 years. Own four cheapo watches. All their batteries "died" during the early pandemic years. Tired of pulling my phone out of pocket or purse or worse yet asking random people "What time is it?", I broke down to get my Bulova and Citizen up and running again. Upon entering Timeland, I was immediately acknowledged, watches taken for battery installation. With two customers ahead, I waited under 15-minutes, just enough time to explore Timeland's fine inventory of both unique and affordable timepieces. $24 and some change I was out the door. Setting shame, embarrassment aside, I might return some day with the other two shabby watches for new batteries. Battery replacement sales final; not sure about new timepiece purchases. $15 minimum on credit and debit card payment. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID the teeny, tiny, dicey parking lot Timeland shares with Big Chill (yogurt), a drycleaner, bagel shop, and I believe a cannabis dispensary. Plan your visit Monday through Friday when residential Glendon Avenue (between Olympic and Pico Boulevards) directly east of the shopping center allows 2-hour parking. There's street sweeping both Thursday and Friday mornings so read signage carefully. read more

Most other places I took it to said they could not fix it and suggested I send it to original manufacturer in Switzerland. The professionals at Timeland fixed it on the spot in less than 15 minutes and charged a very reasonable price. Ronald Regan was a customer of this family owned business. Cool picture ls on the wall with Regan and the owners and the pictures has a thank you note from Regan and also there's a signed personal check from Regan. One of the best things about this place is that it's next to the Bigg Chill. This whole outdoor strip mall is pretty legendary for the westside. I came into Timeland to have some watches cleaned and repaired if anything wasn't working. Penny, the owner, took care of cleaning my watches while educating me on how to clean them myself with a cleaner that I actually bought. She is so kind. Simply put, they know watches. I was charged $37.44 for a battery change for my watch. When I questioned why it costs so much, the response was" YOU DID NOT ASK FOR THE PRICE" with an attitude. On the Receipt there is a charge of $25 for Battery and $10 for minor repair, and the rest is tax. I went in for a change of battery and was never told how much it will cost me before being charged. About a month ago I had my 3 watches that needed battery changed and have never paid so much. This is highway robbery with attitude. read more

Brought in a 30+ year old wooden wall clock to see if they could fix or replace a broken mechanism. They let me know it would be cheaper to just buy a new non-wooden wall clock, but this old wooden clock holds some sentimental value for me, so I opted to pay a little extra to fix it. They warned me that the gold metal secondhand might need to be replaced with a black hand with the repair. Service was great. Ready for pick up one day earlier than promised. They were able to save the original gold metal secondhand, and they also cleaned up the whole clock so it shined beautifully, like new again. Many thanks for a skilled and timely repair!
