    Pineapple pie? Yummm!

Very impressed with this location. Love the recent renovation (at least it looks recent) and the wonderful selection of Japanese goodies. Was in a rush so didn't take many photos. Store is thoughtfully laid out. Love entering and the store and the produce section is right there... which there is undoubtedly something I need to get from there. Happy there are many tempting displays of specialty items. This Times, located in the Aiea Mall, has free and easy parking. Getting out and where you want to go after might be a little more challenging due to the one way entrance/exits and no left turn directionals... but not enough to stop me shopping here! Which just happens to be downstairs from one of my favorite shave ice shops...!

Love the vibe here... As some other Times location feels dated this location don't give that feel at all as I walked in I did have reservations but was so pleasantly pleased to see how spacious it is first of all and the time they take to make the end of each aisle fun and presentable. From a display dedicated to have bananas hang out to a whole back section for delicatessen, mochi, sushi and other grab and go essentials. Though sadly I didn't find what I was looking for I stopped by since I was in the area to save to commute and wondered as the shopping center still seem to be under renovation parking is a bit tight but is worth the search just exiting the lot is a bit tough as it's just right turn only but will still be back again. Thank you!

Shopping in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... Most Hawaii residents know that the Times Supermarket chain has a fantastic produce department and carries local goods like popular snacks, candy/yarn/kukui nut lei, and ethnic groceries. This Times - located on the lower level of Aiea Shopping Center (below McDonald's and Aiea Bowl) - also has an area in the back with a Deli, sushi, and mochi station. It also has pharmacy and self-service check-out capabilities. I actually was trying to pay my auntie's electricity bill. (I was thinking that I could save a stamp...) However, personal checks are not accepted. I offered cash, but the bill needed to be linked to a phone number. I gave Customer Service auntie's home phone and cell phone, but neither number showed up. I'll have auntie call and have her bill adjusted... LOL! I ended up mailing her check to Hawaiian Electric. Haha!

Humm, what happened to my previous review? I know I did one after they had finished the renovations to the store. Walking thru the aisle, I noticed that they had a Don Quijote snack section. This is nice because you can pick up some of the snacks sold at Dpn Quijote. The market is well stocked, clean, and Service is excellent Enjoy

This is strictly for the sushi/okazuya section only! I rarely go to this Times location but, we needed to kill time while waiting for our food upstairs at Aiea Bowl. We were pleasantly surprised that they expanded and ate more like the Times in Mililani! There's a bakery upon entering which smelled sooo good! I'll have to try that place out next! To the far right once you enter is where the sushi and bentos are located! There were 2 workers making fresh sushi. The one thing that stuck out to us was the "From Japan" stickers! My hubby loved the fresh hamachi sushi! It's 5 pieces for $9.99! Much more reasonable than sushi places. I love Inari sushi and I especially love Tuna Inari sushi! I'm so happy I can now get my fix here! There was a 5 piece set and a 10 piece one! They also had a mixed inari set we tried. The combo of the aburage (tofu skin) adds so much extra flavor! They also had full spicy ahi inari and ahi poke inari if you love the fish & inari combo! I also saw hot entrees which were salmon bento, tonkatsu bento and katsu curry bentos. So there's definitely something for everyone if raw fish isn't your thing! Overall, we have come back 2 Saturdays in a row so we recommend checking it out!

It's been awhile and they updated their seafood section. So many options of roles, nigiri, sashimi, and inari bombs. Their poke section is decent as well. The seafood counter guy was awesome and put aside the last sashimi platter so we could pick it up. Self checkout was super quick too. Great staple for easy meals.

This review is for the delicatessen area of Times. I normally do my grocery shopping elsewhere but we do come here mainly for the delicatessen. For the last 10+ years we have been fans of their prepared/hot foods & were excited when they expanded/remodeled the store a few years ago & took over the are that was formerly a coffee shop/bakery. Our all time favorite is the grilled steak & the BBQ chicken. The cut of meat & how they grill it to perfection is worth the price & this has remained consistent over the years. Always tender, well-seasoned, & not overcooked with a little pink. They sell the grilled steak usually on Thursday's & Saturday's. The BBQ chicken used to be on Saturday's but is now sold on Monday's. They have different entrees daily. They used to post the menu at the counter area but no longer so best bet is to check this location online for the daily menu. The menu also varies by location. You can either buy a plate, which comes with a choice of 2 sides & bottled soda or water or you can buy by portion. We usually get the portions. One portion of steak runs just under $10. Other entrees run a little less. They also offer a 1 or 2 choice plate & a selection of hot entrees. Sides they offer are mashed potatoes/gravy, rice, hot veggies. The plates are reasonably priced & they give a good portion, you won't go hungry. Everything we've tried there is ono: mushroom chicken, grilled guava spareribs, roast turkey, pork adobo, teriyaki steak. Couple of the items are no longer on the menu but they may add it from time to time. They also sell Chinese crispy roast pork by the lb & we love that! This item is sold everyday, runs about $15/lb. This is comparable to other places that sell it. It's one of the best Chinese roast pork I've ever had - meaty, not overly fatty but a good ratio of meat to fat, not dry - pretty moist, nicely seasoned - not overly salty but just right. It is mouth watering ono! Even my hubby likes it & he's not a big fan of pork. The other thing I like about this area is the grab n go section with pre-packaged foods. They have bentos - breakfast & entree, a full range of different sushi & poke bowls. Sometimes if you are there at the right time, they will have mgr special mark-downs of $2.50 on a poke bowl from the $7.99 regular price. Their poke bowls are ono as well as their sushi. They make everything fresh daily. They sell salads, sandwiches, & even a mochi bar. And if you have a sweet tooth, they have a good selection of goodies at the bakery which is to the left of the main door entrance. You won't go wrong with the delicatessen here with a variety of choices and rerasonable prices. Lastly, the customer service at this location is awesome! Over the years, I don't think I've ever come across a rude or unfriendly employee. It's been pretty consistent - so friendly & helpful. Everyone is customer service-oriented from the cashiers to the baggers, cart persons, stockers, behind the counter employees, customer service booth. They all are sincerely friendly & make you feel warm & welcoming, like ohana. It's so rare to find a whole team like that these days & to be consistent over so many years. Keep up the outstanding work Times Aiea, mahalo!

I've been coming to this Time's for a very long time and their recent renovations are impressive! I'm not sure when they added to their store but it's really nice and a great place to buy a quick bite to eat for breakfast or lunch when I'm working in the area. This Time's Supermarket is located in Aiea right off the freeway when you take the cut off into Aiea coming from Honolulu. They're highly visible from the main road and there's plenty of parking. They share parking with other stores and restaurants in the area but I've never had trouble finding a spot. When you initially walk in, you'll have the bakery to your immediate left, cashier and self check out right infront, customer service to immediate right and pharmacy straight ahead toward the back wall behind the alcohol section. More to the right is your fresh veggies/fruits, other shelved groceries lining the rest of the store, frozen foods at the far end right rear side and even a new deli/sushi area on that right front side. The new sushi/deli section is my favorite since they have all the bento, sushi, fresh mochi, hot plate items and drinks in this area. There's a variety of items to choose from and everything I've tried were really tasty so far. This section originally was walled off and hosted the Arm Bar back in the day. Looks like Time's bought it to expand and it's awesome! The store overall has really great organization and cleanliness. The store workers are general nice and welcoming and you can find almost everything you need from a grocery store here. If you're looking for sales items, the advertisement paper is up front by the store entrance.

Haven't been to this location in awhile. But got there when the poke was just made, inari bombs freshly made. Lots of stuff on sale. Nobody waiting in line. Perfect morning for shopping.

Japanese cheesecake, which was very creamy and smooth found in the freezer section needs thawing before eating

I went in there just to pick up some steak that they sell, but their new section where all the hot foods are is amazing compared to the one closest to where I live. I don't know if it's because of the spacing but their deli area with the hot foods Was clean huge so offered a lot more dish selections. Chicken Their brisket is juicy and tender the steak same as the brisket very tender, juicy, and flavorful. the fried chicken wings are delicious and crispy. I suggest getting a mix of hot and regular. I love that the garlic shrimp doesn't come with the shell so it's easier to eat. All plate lunches come with a drink and they are super friendly and efficient. Lots of desserts and side dishes such as kimchee are also available. There's one suggestion I would make for the management is to put more baskets for shopping near this section as all the choices are so enticing that your hands get full pretty quickly

Just a basic small market but I had no idea the deli was tucked around the corner and that's what sets it apart. The deli has a good selection of prepared foods, sushi, plate lunches and bentos. I also like to go for the brisket which is amazing. They are generous on the portions.

Needed to go shopping for last minute things and I was in the Aiea area. So I stopped by Times supermarket located under McDonald's and right next door to Samurai goodies. To my surprise they did a facelift I guess all new flooring which was nice and added a Bakery area which they did not have originally. Also they extended the back side of the store and added a bento and sushi area. It was very big area with all kinds of bentos and sushi to go. Support local and be safe

She always doesn't seem very happy to be there, and she does not hesitate to make her customers feel that. It never bothered me, nonetheless. Today, however, I stood in line behind a mother and her son. Luz was tending to them as I waited for my turn, then LUZ just started asking, in a very loud manner, several times "ANYTHING ELSE?!?", while the mom and son were deciding (in an uncomfortable way, as she was pressuring them). As I observed this, I couldn't help to notice how rude this behavior was for a customer service staff. I continued to mind my own, until she then turns to me, and RUDELY says, "CAN I HELP YOU?!?". So, I answered that she is being very rude to the customers in front of me and that she needs to exercise patience because they are not finished yet. The boy thanked me for giving them more time, and he shows photos on his phone of what they needed more, LUZ, showing irritation towards the mom and the son, demands the phone so she can see for herself. Which again is not a very ideal way treat customers when you are representing a company like Safeway. No Aloha. Nothing. Just sheer rudeness. Fortunately, Judith was there. She smiled and patiently helped the mom and son instead, then helped me afterwards. The boy thanked me for showing patience, something LUZ did not, I personally commend and thank JUDITH for showing professionalism and ALOHA. That's what SAFEWAY is all about - ALOHA from staff like JUDITH. LUZ, however, needs to be corrected by the management ASAP. I understand working in customer service is not easy, sometimes even frustrating, we are just humans after all. However, the mom and the son, and I, were not demanding excellent service from LUZ. Just patience, and lack of rudeness (to say the least) will be appreciated next time. FIVE STARS for JUDITH ONE STAR for LUZ

I have 2 favorites -- Tuesday & Thursday.   I eat it practically every week and you'd never guess when you see it! Tuesday is the BBQ Bowl -- You get ypur choice of meat, rice, and a side (banchan). I always get the smoke meat with pickled onion on rice. The smoked meat has plenty smoked taste, just enough fat, and it's not tough (you know what I mean).  The pickled onion is the perfect compliment!   Love the bite and the vinegar taste -- cuts though and brings it all together!   They give you quite a bit in the bowl.  Definitely enough to make me smile!    Again ---- $6.00!!!!! Thursday is another winner in my book.   It's noodle day!!!  I used to get the Mega which had everything in it.   It was a special that they had at the beginning but it's been discontinued.  I think the only one I'm not too crazy about is the curry.   I know some like it -- but having watery curry with noodles is just not me.   The rest are pretty good.   They warm up the noodles right there and add all the goodies on top.  It's take out so they give you the hot broth in another container ---- perfect so your noodles don't get soggy!   I think it's a great 'buy and eat later' meal! I think the only negative is that sometimes the parking lot is very, very full.  If you go early it's not too bad.    The rest of the days they have kalua pig burrito, nachos, and the $6/lb food bar Friday.   With all the prices on everything going UP, UP, UP, it's so nice that we can have a good and satisfying meal for $6.00.    Thank you Foodland -- Food, Family, and Friends!!!

This Foodland location has been around for so long, the memories of my newlywed years when I lived in Kalihi with in-laws, I would frequent this Foodland often to pick up groceries for our meals. 30+ years ago. This Foodland is a mess & always busy, from waiting in customer service line , noticed a lot of customer in line for Western Union & the lines are long, it's very crowded. Great service - you ring the doorbell and someone comes to open the door in a very short while. They serve you immediately and are so friendly and nice. I did see the furikake flavor at Costco in a bigger bag. Service was very friendly.
