The service was amazing. My husband was inquiring about how an almond cookie tasted like and they took one out of the case and cut it so we could taste it. Everything else we ordered though was delicious. Cheesecake was rich and creamy, the princess cake was moist, the mini fruit tart was fresh, and the chocolate mousse was rich. The challah bread was soft and you can't taste the good quality olive oil that was used. Added bonus is there is a free parking lot in the back. Free parking in Oakland?!? Heck yea!

Stopped by Pasta Supply after they sent me a coupon for $10 as a subscriber...that always gets me…read more Regardless, Pasta Supply has some of the best fresh pasta in the city so you should check it out anyways. On the day that I went, they had a corn ravioli which I thought would be such a treat for a warm day. There wasn't really a sauce that I felt would go with it so I ended up picking up a few fresh ingredients also along clement (English peas and mint) and whizzed up a bright pea sauce that made my corn ravioli such a nice summery treat! But I couldn't have just that, so I also picked up some of my favorite shapes - malfadine and paccheri. Both are difficult to find outside of a restaurant but I love that I can find unique shapes here from time to time. The pasta lasts well for a few days in the fridge or a few months in the freezer which is great when you want to whip up a meal that feels just a little fancier than your grocery store bought pasta. The texture is so much more tender and almost velvety, it's a real treat! Trust me!

My go to sauce is usually the boars sauce that goes with the agnolotti (sorry words, I lost you), but you can't go wrong. If you dine in, you must try the mushroom tagliatelle.
