    Steak tartare

I stayed near this restaurant and popped in to sit at the bar one evening. The service and food were so great, I went back the second night. The service and food were absolutely amazing - I got the Beets, scallops, and steak tartare. My server, Chelsea, and the bartender, Dea, were also fantastic. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and I felt like a regular after one evening of dinner. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Have not been here for several years and boy did I miss out. Food and service is very good... ambiance could be a little better but went on a weekday which explains that. The soups are very good as a whole as I tried mine (asparagus) and my partner had a been soup that was delicious as well. The cold cut plate was very good and well served. Had the branzino that was well made and the ribeye was of the best in town! The steak tartare was on the good side, nothing to write home about. We BYOB as usual and they DO have proper wine glasses, so didn't have to bring mine. All in all, will be back much more often..... cheers

We had an absolutely lovely dinner this evening. We had a group of 7 and it can certainly be challenging finding a restaurant where everyone enjoys their meal, but thankfully, we found Timo! A few of our favorite items were: The seafood pasta with Calabrian chili - very delectable with perfectly prepared seafood and a close second was the flaky salmon with broccoli and gnocchi. We also had the lamb and goat cheese pizza, a margarita pizza, the gem lettuce salad with Cacio e pepe dressing (yum) and the pork osso bucco. I will definitely be coming back sooner than later.

Behold, quite frankly the BEST plant based Italian meal I have had to date. Served to me in a very upscale dining environment at @timorestaurant Timo Restaurant on 17624 Collins ave in #SunnyIsles Florida. From start to finish it's a very high end experience, with out the high end price tag, this 5 course meal, was $65 and was enough for 2 people. (3 of the 5 plates were split for ease of service) Not only was the environment a step above, the food was too, as each and every item was whole food, plant based and made from scratch, even the pasta. 1st course was a Beet Tartar, topped with golden beets, full of freshness and flavor. 2nd course was made to order tortellini with a parsnip puree filling that was creamier then any traditional or vegan cheese I have ever had, served with scallops made from mushrooms, that had an incredible consistency. 3rd course was hearts of palm ceviche, which was very refreshing and tasty. 4th course was home made vegan angel hair pasta with vegan meatballs made from butternut squash, zucchini and eggplant, served with the best red sauce I have ever had. 5th course was dessert, a home made coconut sorbet, served on top of a cantaloupe gazpacho and fresh fruit. Timo is a staple restaurant in Sunny Isles with a seasonal rotating plant based tasting menu. Sometimes it might have dairy, so call ahead and ask, and they will alter it to accommodate you. Trust me, this is next meal you want to eat. Gourmet, upscale dining, whole food plant based Italian goodness! And that's my #plantbasedprerogative #pbp #myprerogative

Service was attentive throughout the evening, with staff providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The wine list featuring a selection of Portuguese wines that pair beautifully with the menu. We started with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau and Polvo Grelhado, both excellent choices. The codfish cakes were crisp and flavorful, while the grilled octopus was tender and perfectly prepared. The fresh bread service was a welcome addition and a great way to begin the meal. For the main course, we enjoyed the Paelha Marinheira and the Parrilhada de Marisco. Both seafood dishes were outstanding, showcasing fresh ingredients and rich flavors. Dessert was equally enjoyable. The Pasteis de Nata offered the classic creamy custard and flaky pastry combination that Portugal is known for, while the Pêras ao Vinho do Porto provided a refined and delicious finish to the meal.

We had reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. They have a tree in the middle that gives it an outdoor open feel. And an incredible wine display in the back. Our waitress, from Portugal, did a great job of explaining the menu to us and guiding us on what to order. We started off with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau which are cod fritters and OMG they were sooo good! These tasted identical to the ones we've eaten in Lisbon. It comes with the classic pairing of black eyed peas which are awesome when eaten together. We also tried the Chouriço Assado which the presentation when its brought to the table is a treat itself. It comes out on a flaming pig and then its sliced tableside. Our waitress recommended trying the chorizo with the piri piri sauce which is slightly spicy and it was delicious. It added another layer of flavor. For entree we got the Paelha Marinheira which was absolutely amazing. First off, its a huge portion and comes piping hot. Each bite was full of seafood. We added the lobster which was perfection. It's great to share between 2 people. For dessert we ended with the pasteis de nata and its great because it brings 2 pastries and we paired it with ice cream. It makes for the perfect sweet treat without being too much. The pasteis de nata is served slightly warm and is perfect with the cool ice cream. Overall great restaurant for some Portuguese cuisine.

So first getting to this restaurant - you have to go around the side of the building entering through the beach access. It took about five minutes before someone came and got our drink orders. The food was pretty bland. We weren't happy that we had ordered the grilled sardines as an appetizer, and it came out at the same time as the main meals. We had ordered sweet potato fries instead of the vegetables with my husband's fish, but they never made the sweet potato fries. I had the crab and shrimp salad. Not a lot of flavor they depend on this mustard sauce that they give you with it, but I wasn't a fan. The crab and the shrimp refresh but again not much flavor. My daughter ordered the pasta with chicken. It was terrible no flavor at all. My husband's fish was OK. He did not like that. It came with the sauce on top. On top of it it wasn't the best meal and it was quite pricey. For four people is about $250 and we left not very satisfied.
