I had my 96 Bronco to three different shops on Flagstaff including the Ford dealer, they cost me over $1000.00 and between all of them none of the could figure out why my truck was idling at 1600 RPM, I was told to go to Tims by a good friend, when I pulled in and told Tim the problem he knew what the problem was. Tim is a very good mechanic. He's neat, organized, and really cares about every customer. He's been at the same location for 6 years and is now moving to a new bigger location. I believe he is 100% honest and his prices are reasonable. I'm sure there will be growing pains when he hires mechanics for his new location. However I also believe he will hire the best people. He is more concerned about his good reputation than money. No matter which shop you take your car to, there will be problems. However if there is a problem, I believe that Tim will take care of you and make things right asap. I've been working on my own cars over 40 years. I could see that Tim runs a good shop. read more

If I could give this guy a negative amount of stars I would. He scammed us. Didn't honor his quote and added $700 dollars to our bill without contacting us to let us know of the price change. He went ahead and did the work after my husband told him that he did not want this guy to do any repairs until we had a complete quote in writing. After we picked it up and paid the additional money the car had a new vibration that was coming from the left side of the vehicle that was not there before. He tried to tell us that it was going to be more money. After he "fixed" the issue we took it to another mechanic in town. We were told that he did not use the proper hardware to "fix" some of the repairs needing to be done. All of these hardware issues were also HUGE safety concerns. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!!!! read more

I am shocked a customer on Yelp gave Tim and his outfit a negative review. I've driven a lot of old vehicles, so I have a lot of contact with different mechanics over the years and I can honestly say Tim is the best mechanic I've ever had. Tim is reasonable, fair, and honest. True story: Out of the blue, an aunt gave me some money that I wasn't expecting. I took my 30 year old pickup to Tim and told him my aunt just gave me some cash and I wanted to take this surprising opportunity to find out if anything was wrong with my truck since I could afford to take care of the problem now. I mentioned a few leads (shakes & rattles) to help Tim track down some problems. Not only did Tim rule out the problems I thought I had but he didn't charge me! What kind of scammer knows he has a blank check to work on an old truck and doesn't ring up the bill?!?!? I would advise Rebecca S. to check her facts because I've also sent everyone of my friends to Tim and I've never had a single friend tell me Tim's Auto Repair & Wheel Align did them wrong. read more

My serpentine belt started to shred and I thought I was up shit's creek. Luckily I called Tim the next morning, he got the part before I even showed up and fixed the belt pulley as well (the real culprit). He got me out on the road in no time and I beat the snow. SO grateful to have found Tim's!!! I was in town for a few days and thought I was looking at a blown uv(cv?) joint on my jeep. My friend up here recommended Tim's and WOW!!!! I had an issue with my vehicle in Flagstaff that involved it randomly being unable to start. Headache! Especially on a 6 week roadtrip. I assumed a challenging electrical problem. Showed up at Tim's at 7:30Am on Monday and he looked the vehicle over, and all it turned out to be was loose battery cables. He chatted with me about the trip, my vehicle, and wished me good travels after a quick fix. No charge and a quality guy. Tough garage to find, as it's in a strip of row steel buildings just outside of town, but he is worth the effort to find. Thanks Tim!!! read more

What a great place. I have lived in Flagstaff for 8 years now and only recently in the last 3 years have found this place. Now it is the only place I take my vehicle. If your worried about shady mechanics, don't here. The business is honest. Every time I have taken my vehicle in for a tune up, repair or maintenance, they have done a wonderful job, at a very low and reasonable cost. They know me by name now and it makes me feel good. They are not afraid to sit down with you and bullshit for a while because they are good people. I won;t take my vehicle anywhere else now. I tell everyone to go there for anything because I have never trusted anyone so well to do honest work on my vehicle before. What a great place. read more

"I have socks in my sock drawer older than you!" This is what Tim screamed at me when I questioned his service on my car. Tim not only ripped me off, lied to me, and created more problems with my car than were there in the first place, but he also presented the biggest public display of both ageism and sexism I have ever witnessed. After assuring me multiple times that my car would absolutely be ready by the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I trusted him to get the alignment done, even though he had 12 cars ahead of me and was the only one working. He assured me multiple times that it would easily be done in time. I dropped it off the Thursday before Thanksgiving, making sure I would be able to get it in time to meet my family who flew in to meet me in Tucson. He told me that he didn't like when people called him to check in on their car because he would always get it done and call when it was finished. This seemed a little odd but I did respect this request and waited for him to call me back. He didn't call until Monday, and told me that the parts would be there on Tuesday, and it would be around $500, possibly more depending on the status that the parts came in. He had previously not estimated me at all and told me that it all depends. This shows me that he didn't make any calls until Monday, even though he promised the car would be ready on Tuesday, and I took taxis to and from work on Friday to allow him enough time. One of the reasons I chose him was because he worked on the weekend, but he didn't even look at my car until Monday. Right after telling me my parts would be there on Tuesday, he called back and said it actually wouldn't be there until Wednesday. On Wednesday he didn't call me, even though I left a message asking to please give me a heads up on when the car would be ready. Finally he called an hour before close and said I needed to get there within the hour to pick up the car before he closed for the holiday. When I got there he told me that there was now a bump to the car that wasn't there before. I expressed that I was upset with the wait, the price, and the unwanted addition to the car, and he absolutely flipped. He said I wasn't the only person waiting for their car. I asked to see the break down of the money and he told me to pay and get the fuck out. He gave himself $90 an hour for labor, when most places charge around $70. I truly feel that Tim didn't like a woman challenging him, and someone that appeared young. He said he had socks in his sock drawer older than me. He called me a CUNT and he flipped me off. I was so shocked at his adverse reaction that I started balling in the middle of the office. He continued to berate me and told his son that I was just being dramatic. His son started yelling at me as well. He then threatened to call the sheriff if I didn't get out. I agreed that he should probably call the sheriff so we could deal with this civilly and waited outside the office while he claimed to do so. I waited a while and got the feeling that he did not actually call (probably because he was doing illegal activity - most likely some drug that would cause him to act so erratically). I wanted to start driving to Tucson where my family was waiting, and did not feel safe their anymore. I payed the money and left, after he told me that he had driven his wife into an insane asylum. You should meet her, he told me. I personally feel that Tim should be evaluated by psychologists, cops for drug use, and the BBB should not allow someone like this to be in business anymore. All his employees had left him and he was working alone - and I see why. The man is as unaligned as he left my tires. read more
