I have driven by Phill's Diner many times. But it wasn't until yesterday that I had the opportunity to try it. A coworker invited me for lunch, and I really enjoyed the boneless chicken bites. I enjoyed it so much that I brought my wife and son today for breakfast! The food is great! You will not be disappointed. However, you will most definitely be impressed with the down-to-earth staff who make you feel like a regular on your first visit. They treated our 17 month old son like a celebrity! He wanted to wear his sunglasses inside, and they all got a kick out of it. They chatted with him throughout our dining experience. Banana and strawberries were fresh but I wish my blueberries in my fruit cup were fresh...they seemed pre frozen and thawing out. My friend and I came here on Saturday morning, because it was one of the few breakfast places in Tulsa that opened at 6 am. The location is a bit difficult to spot, because there is no visible sign unless you drive up really close. The inside of the restaurant is clean and homey. We ordered the short stack of pancakes, the avocado bacon cheese omelette special for the day, and the cinnamon roll. Everything was extremely delicious! The omelette came with biscuits and gravy which were SO GOOD, seriously SO GOOD! The cinnamon roll was awesome and HUGE -- definitely big enough for 2 to 3 people to split. First of all the portions were huge for the price. My husband and I like to eat breakfast out and there is a time or two where we like to venture out and try something new. So we decided to try Phill's diner. I ordered bacon and eggs with French toast and my husband ordered the same with a pancake. The French toast was good and the breakfast overall was good. I also ordered a cinnamon roll but the breakfast was so big I had to take the roll to go. My husband enjoyed his breakfast and said he was full. Let's start with the service....very good. Everyone who helped us was nice and super efficient without making you feel rushed. Next up...Ambiance. It is a true diner. Clean and lots of "regulars". Lastly, the food...we ordered the French toast and corned beef hash.. French toast- just like mom makes. Regular white bread with a nice dense eggy texture. So good. Corned beef hash-my expectation of corned beef is a nice 50/50 blend of meat and potatoes. This was more like 90/10 in favor of the meat. On one hand, if you like meat, it's perfect. I don't like it that dense, so not so much for me. We also got the biscuits and gravy which were also wonderful if you like nice soft fluffy biscuits and thick creamy gravy. This is your classic Mom and Pop corner diner. This is a staple in Tulsa and one of my favorite places to get breakfast. Beware though on the weekends there can be a wait for a table. The food here is solid and always plenty of it comes out. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive. There are a couple of bars with stools for those flying solo or want a quick seat and a good handful of tables. There is nothing fancy or modern here and I love it. One of the greatest small town diners you'll find anywhere. By the way the owner Phil sit at the front counter all the time. Someone below said that the owner was a woman so they must be thinking about some other place. Service is great here and food is wonderful. Best cornbread and beans or corn bread and stew always on the menu. Wonderful meatloaf. Breakfast is also great. I've been going here for nearly 50 years and it's nice because they're even open on Sunday. One of my pet peeve's is restaurants that don't have napkins but this one has not been container on the table. There's always catch up and Tabasco sauce on the table. The service and the dishes in this wonderful place are warm and delicious, the charm for the ladies (nanas and uncles) is terrific.

Boneless chicken? World famous. The best thing about Phill's is Phill himself. He's always standing behind the register at the front of the diner, friendly and mustache-ed. There aren't many guarantees in life, but Phill's mustache is time tested. And handsome! You should know most people here are either grandparents or dining with their grandparents. Old people love diners and know good, cheap food when they see it. Phill's breakfast is awesome- the breakfast tacos are good, the pancakes are good, the eggs are good... you get the idea. The service is friendly. Older lady-waitresses and hilariously dry-witted fill-up-your-drinks guys. You need to eat Phill's at least once per weekend. Know that it can be crowded if you go early or around church-crowd times. It's cozy, so if you don't want to wait 10 AM is usually pretty perfect. read more

Just eat in Tim's dinner on 32st .The waitress was a doll,but as we were paying the manager came back to our table and in front of everyone she belittled my granddaughter over her tip.Not knowing her mother was picking up her tip.The manager informed her it was only 3%and that wasn't enough.Thats all the money she had after paying for others at the table $40.00 all together. You'll get your food, cooked just the way you ordered it, on time (sometimes they're super busy so it takes longer), and it will taste great. Shauna was our waitress and she did an excellent job of making sure the coffee stayed filled, checking on us and getting our food to us rather quickly. I NEVER do this but I actually had to call the waitress to the table to inform her I could not eat the food for the following reasons... The chicken fried steak was store bought and had a terrible taste. Or maybe it was the gross, again not homemade, gravy. I asked for my eggs with cheese and hash-browns scattered well. No, none of that was ever gonna happen apparently. Get this the egg sandwich, egg and bread. When we confronted our waitress and the manager they couldn't have cared less.
