Came here on Mother's Day with my family. Haven't stopped in in years so we figured why not try it since its been awhile. It's normal for the lines to reach the door since its a holiday. Didn't really mind the wait. Once they called my number to be seated, we walked over to the table and it was filthy. The utensils weren't properly cleaned and there were food crumbs everywhere. I asked a woman to please whip down and give us different utensils. Now as for the food, I only went for one plate because it just didn't live up to what I expected. Tin Tin Buffet has all your typical Chinese food, and some of your American favorites like mashed potatoes, garlic bread, etc. It's not your best Chinese food. As you might notice, much of their clientele isn't Asian. It's your typical Chinese-American food. And they do a decent job. This place is digusting. The noodle smell like rubbing alchole! Also the sevice is really bad, when I was eating my fruits, the waiter just threw the bill on my table and say thank you. I've been to dozens of Chinese buffets in the US, and find the setups and food are very similar. The differences are almost all in size, variety, freshness, and the condition of the interior. Given that, with the focus on the food freshness, Tin Tin is better than most, in my opinion. This place is pretty terrible. The selection of food is good, but the food itself is not so good. All of the booths have gigantic tears in the seats, which wasn't inviting. The crab rangoons are alright, but there isn't any crab in the rangoons. Actually, they just called them cheese wontons because there was just cream cheese in them. Also, the following hot items I or my friend who I went with tried were cold: Spare ribs, general tso's chicken, chicken fingers, pepper shrimp, egg roll and rice. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I've been to Tin Tin Buffet twice. Both times, I felt physically ill after leaving. The food is just plain terrible. I love bad american-style Chinese food as much as anybody else looking for a decent meal for under $10. I like legit Chinese much more, but I have a soft spot for a greasy meal of General Tsao's Chicken with pork fried rice, or chicken fingers and beef with mushrooms. Tin Tin is just, plain, bad. I cannot stress this harder and I have no idea what the other people giving it 5 stars are thinking. The food is too greasy, too sweet, and too salty at the same time. it's loaded up with MSG. It's just plain bad. I've eaten at plenty of cheap Chinese buffets. They're always pretty lousy, but they are fun when you go in a group with friends, and they are cheap. I went there last night with my niece and her child, the dinner buffet starts at 4 pm and I arrived about 5:30 pm and needless to say every item on the buffet was "ICE COLD". I told the waitress this and she said "I can put in the microwave for you". I told her that that was not how food should be served and she said "crowd just coming in for dinner". I replied with "So you set the food out at 4 and it sits there until the crowd comes in two hours later?" The waitress took my food off the bill but did not remove my niece's food which sat untouched as well. I go up to the cashier and they are standing there talking about me in their language. I mention that my niece's food went untouched and the waitress said she ate the food. I put my card on the counter and tell them that I want to pay the bill which was $14.95 but as they continued to argue with me regarding my niece having ate her food I politely tell them that I would be reporting them to the Board of Health because food is supposed to be served at a certain temperature and none of theirs was. All of a sudden they wanted to removed my nieces food from the bill and I said "NO I will pay for it seeing that she ate it." "NO NO NO why pay for something that you did not eat?" was their reply. In the end I ended up paying $2.40 for milk and soda. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN BECAUSE THE FOOD HAD PROBABLY BEEN SITTING THERE SINCE LUNCH TIME! Cheap, but the food was OK. One thing very disgusting I saw was, one woman who's cleaning the dessert table just picked up the tong dropped on the floor. She wiped the tong with the mop she used to clean the table and then put the tong back to the dessert tray. So gross... I'll never go back. read more

Well this place is one of my top ten. I come here with my bestfriend, everytime she's in town. This place has a Great variety of chinese meat, veggies, rice, and it is very cheap if you get there during the lunch hour ( $7.00 w/out drinks ). Cheapest Chinese buffet on weekends near the city. Their take-out buffet is also very cheap - same price ($4/lb) for both lunch and dinner... pretty unheard of. One draw back is that they NEVER change anything on their menu... but then again... most buffets arent any better. The only place thats cheaper and somewhat close to the city is International Buffet in Quincy... ($3.75/lb for lunchm $4.25/lb for dinner, but they do change the menu from time to time... prob the leftovers). read more

Nothing wrong with the food. We were seated quickly upon arrival. The service was not the best service ever. I had to ask for a refill of water. When the bill came the waitress counted the money in front of us and demanded a larger tip. We left 3 dollars but the waitresses wanted 5. The price is very good for a plate. The variety doesn't end with just traditional Chinese food. There is American food and deserts as well. Nothing runs out, and if anything is close to running out it is immediately replaced. I love going here. read more

Amazing buffet. My friend and I went for dinner on Sunday, 6th. Every dish is tasty. Clam, salty shrimp, seafood melody, fish. Even chicken and pork were tasty. Desert seems to be out of control. However, we did not have room for desert at all. One mistake we made was to go for soda because there was no ice cream. Soda expand stomach and stop eating machines completely. Best thing to try is mushroom soup. Really high quality that can only be found in 5 star restaraunt. Spring roll is great too if you eat it alone. Dinner is only 10.45. The food was decent but a lot of the food was dry and had no seasoning. She bathroom is very dirty and had a lot of stains on the wall. It did its job to make me full but it wasn't completely satisfying. Also they had limited amount of food which didn't make it so fun. I would recommend but I wouldn't come very often. read more

The food at this place was good for a buffet and it sure was cheap but that's where it ended. Eating is an experience involving all kinds of sensory input and it's not just about filling your plate over and over. The box-like plain room with bright white lighting is definitely not soothing. The cafeteria-style tables and plastic chairs reminded me of a school lunch room. The waitstaff knows damn well they are not going to get 15% at a self-service buffet, and it's reflected in their disinterested faces. Tin Tin buffet was not at all what I expected from well expressed stories. I went there for the first time on my cousins birthday with a couple of friends, and we were disappointed. When I asked for a refill, they just poured some new soda. They left the old soda, which completely killed my apetitie when I saw my old sprite mixed with my new coke. Have been going there for years and it has steadily declined. They finally removed the broken ice cream machine, but have let the place go without updates too long. Many of the booths have no padding left in the seats and the floor is way overdue to be replaced. The servers are not as friendly as they could be and when the tour busses come in, it is crazy. As soon as anyone in your party goes up for a second time, the check is delivered to the table, even if the place is empty. This used to be a very nice place but has gone down hill in recent years. You get what you'd expect from a Chinese buffet: mediocre food at a good price. Overall, I'd say the food is decent, except for some dishes.
