Took my old Honda accord to get the windows tinted. Didn't want to spend a lot on this old car and tint world had the cheapest price in the area. Keep in mind I chose the basic package, but it still does the job of giving me some privacy and the interior is not as hot anymore. So I am one of those reviewers that either gives one star or five stars- I have to love you or hate you to find the time to write a review. These guys- love them!! They are awesome! My hubby bought a great stereo deck and speakers for my base model vehicle, thinking he could install it. But cars now are so much more computerized and complex that it's a lot harder than back in the day (Note: save yourself a ton of time and frustration and just take your car to this place first). These guys ended up having to wire my entire stereo system BY HAND, because there are no compatible component modules for my base model. They spent a whole day and then some doing it. Stereo and speakers sound so good, work was perfect, fair price for the amount of time they spent. They definitely know what they are doing- would highly recommend. read more

Great service! I started with a quote from Yelp which was prompt. Then the next day I showed up as a walk in, and waited about 10 minutes only since i didnt have an appt, then my car probably took 20 mins to be done. I made the mistake of trusting Tint World to install my backup camera and dashcam. They broke my windshield and wasted my time. What was suppose to take a few hours to complete ended up taking multiple visits and me paying more money than what was originally quoted. The owner, who's name is Sulthan, is very difficult to work with. Sulthan nickel-and-dimed me multiple times, requesting more money to fix issues with the original installation, such as the dashcam power cable being too short. For this fix, Sulthan wanted an additional $50 for extending the wires a few inches so that it would reach the repositioned camera! I refused to pay as it should have been a clean and proper install during their first attempt. Furthermore, I inquired about their cost for tinting my vehicle. I was quoted roughly DOUBLE compared to other reputable tint shops in the San Jose area. Update: Tint World referred me over to a glass shop that replaced my windshield. The owner of Tintworld still refused to fix the dashcam cable issue without me paying additional $. Bottom line: Tint World is unreliable, and unprofessional. They will try to get their customers to pay more money for various labor/parts. After shopping around, I learned that the original quote seemed a little high as it was. Do not use this shop. Bought a brand new car last year and we decided to get the car enhanced with the Ultimate Package: Ceramic Film for the tint and man oh man do I feel like like driving in luxury! Feeling like the celebrity I know I could be! To add extra service without me even asking Mohammad gave my windshield an "eyebrow" tint as well and I love it!! Hella keeps the sun out of eyes and I'm hella short so you know how that goes with the visors not blocking anything for us short folk! The car never feels hot inside, even in Gilroy 105 degree weather. I can just hop in my car, never burning my cheeks on the leather! AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!! Don't buy their groupon. Bought a groupon and went there to drop my car. They said I need to make an appointment. When I asked for a weekend appointment, they said they are busy for next two weekends, so I got a weekday appointment. On the day of appointment, I turned in my car and they promised me to complete it by 3pm. While I was turning in my car, other guy was speaking loudly to the customer who was using groupon. It was because he asked them why they are charging him taxes. The guy behind the counter was just throwing RACIST slurs on him. Wish I could record it. Anywho, I didn't get my car on time and I had to call them several times to make sure it was ready. My experience aligns it with other yelp reviews. I can ignore everything but racial slurs, so giving them just one star. They can improve by replacing staff, training them (show courtesy to customer no matter what) OR just close the franchise. read more

So they are the only authorized dealer for Exoshield, a Invisible windshield protector. It protects your windshield from rock chips. If you replaced one lately (especially if your car had Drive Assistance Cameras), it's INSANELY expensive. So this Exoshield is a pretty amazing thing! Normally go through a windshield a ski season due to sand and debris they use on the snowy roads in Tahoe. Sultan is arguably a real Sultan of Tints.
