The fam and I road tripped it to Monterey from Los Angeles. The first area we came to was Cannery Row. The first spot we came to eat at was The Tipsy Putt and we are so glad that we did. The food and the service is what all the kids are saying these days "fire" but no need to call the fire department because the cook Andrew kept it cool and chill. We ordered the kids pizza for my 10 year old son which he did enjoy but it came with rice and beans instead of the more common fries. My son does not like rice and beans much and was hoping for fries. The cook did apologize when I asked and said that we would have to order a basket of fries in order to get some. Did not want to pay extra so no worries. Not long after, Andrew the cook came through with a basket of fries on the house and put a big smile on my son's face. I was like dang Andrew came through with the fries in the clutch like a G. Besides the food being the bomb.com, I would say that the other 2 highlights of our experience had to be the service that we received from Gianni and Alex. We ended buying some merch from them because they were so friendly and nice. Made me feel like I was just kicking it with the homies but like I wasn't but like that is just how comfortable they made us feel. I would totes invite them to a fam BBQ. If you're looking for a cool spot that has fire food and 6 star service then I would get over to Tipsy Putt. This place is so great. This is my first time coming to this location but had done it in Sacramento. The friends i brought did not think it was gonna be fun but they had a blast. The food we ate was so good when not expecting much. But the thing that makes it the best was the alcohol. Definitely worth giving it a try if you are in the area. read more

If I were able to give this place 0 stars, I would. I arrived before 9:30pm on a Sunday with no one to greet me. When I approached the bar, the bartender stated that last call was already done. Which is weird because on their website and online it says they close at 11pm. Even if they close at 10pm, last call shouldn't be until 9:50pm. The staff at Tipsy Putt was attentive, kind & fun. We had a blast. Would definitely return! Recommended if you're visiting Monterey.

Should be apparent to management that cellular service is spotty at the best of times and have a dedicated wifi server for customers to use. Especially so because they require a waiver to be signed with the only way to do so is use cell phone to scan a QR code. Instead they have 3 dedicated routers for internal use only. Ordering food and drink is confusing, with 1 line for food and the other for drink. Even ordering water or sodas is handled poorly. They have tap water in another part of the room, but no ice. Have to go back to the bar and wait to get a glass of ice. Sodas can be gotten when food is ready, and you have to pick up your food. Food was okay, the queso was watered down to the point of having little flavor. The party nachos are large, enough for 2 to 3 individuals. I recommend to avoid tipping upfront, instead see how the visit goes and tip accordingly. The mini putt in the basement is okay, nine holes with a few advanced holes. They sell single plays and unlimited, but I don't think it's worth paying for more than one go. read more

I have to say the fries were the star of the evening.the service was very basic not bad, but pleasant. I understand that silly aspects of the business like that can have a significant impact and I'm not upset with the cooks. I'm displeased with the staff on duty who made us wait not only for a solution to be found to why I was charge for food I didn't even receive, but also to only be refunded the alcohol we had ordered. Fortunately, we walked into Tipsy Putt on Cannery Row, which is spacious and seems to be fairly new. When we entered in the late afternoon, it was mostly empty, which we liked. It was easy to order at the bar. The beer selection was interesting: my husband enjoyed the Taco Truck from Dust Bowl Brewing. He also ordered a BBQ chicken flatbread and I had a fish taco. Both were good and reasonably priced. Poorly thoughtout and executed version of a golf entertainment facility. Beer menu is very limited and a lot of overlap in offerings, needs to be more diverse. Food menu is ok, not great. again not much variety or creativity and everything clearly comes out of a food service company truck pre-made. Been here a few times and i think it's a great addition to the Row. The mini golf course they had downstairs was cute and adding a bar down there was genius. The beer they had on tap were from some local favorites,which was nice, and the food was pretty bomb as well!
