Tipsy Putt is that kind of place that is underrated and shouldn't be. Great location.... Great service...... The mini Queso-Birria Tacos- WOW! So good! The chicken sandwich was a great choice, too! Plenty of beer selection. Yes, vodka too. Oh, the St. Paddy's Jell-O shot was heavy-good. This place looks small from the outside but it's the inside that will get your attention. In a town like Monterey where there are an abundant amount of choices to eat and drink; Tipsy Putt should never be disqualified. Alexis, she had the best attitude and personality to do the job. She was playing the best music from her own Spotify and it was on point. Sure, they forgot to bring our fries with the sandwich but this is an easy fix. The attitude no one can ever fix. A super spotless and clean establishment. Yes, this includes the bathrooms. No one should get bored at The Tipsy Putt. It's a vibe! If we ever come back to Monterey and hope to do so; Tipsy Putt, YOU'RE IT! Let's get ready for summer yall!

If you're looking for a fun, family friendly indoor activity, Tipsy Putt is the place to be! Tipsy Putt is located in the heart of downtown Monterey and is the perfect spot for a night out! The downstairs has a unique (though slightly smaller than average) mini golf course. There's a bigger bar upstairs and a mini bar downstairs with a nice selection of seltzers and drinks. Since it's a pretty popular spot, it can get packed on the weekends so expect a bit of a wait! Also, it can very hot downstairs, so I'd recommend wearing something light and comfortable. They have a decent selection of drinks and food available, with plenty of seating including an outdoor patio. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Love coming here for Trivia Wednesdays and Taco Tuesdays!! Their Taco Tuesday is 3 for $10 and that's actually a pretty good deal for Monterey, especially for ones that taste pretty good! Definitely would recommend the carnitas tacos!

Decent spot where you can play mini golf downstairs. Layout of the restaurant is kinda confusing. You order at the counter and then pick up your food on the other side of the kitchen window. We grabbed a table thinking we can order from the QR code but that was not the case. Wished they would have provided menus beforehand or at least on the big monitor so you don't wait in line not knowing what to order. Wait was pretty long too. This place is great for groups and entertainment tho. Lots of tv to watch on. I went on a date here and we ordered drinks and food only. I got the Chicken sandwich and he got the Smash burger. Both came with fries and the buttermilk ranch was really good! Fries were ok.

Ordered the mini quesa birria, the big birdie , hamburger. Service was quick and we came right on time. For a Wednesday it started to get busy ! The music was a bit all over the place lol. But overall great music. The fries that came along with the burgers were salty. The big birdie , I felt was missing something.

Had such a fun time at Tipsy Putt in Monterey! Such a great spot if you're looking for something casual, fun, and different to do. The vibe was really good, with a fun atmosphere that's perfect for hanging out, having drinks, and enjoying some friendly competition. It's a great place for a date night, group outing, or just something fun to do while in Monterey. Definitely would go back!

My wife and I were looking for a place near the aquarium for lunch that could appease both us and our 3 kids. We remembered coming here years ago on our last visit, but I believe it was a different business. Honestly, I think this concept is so great that I'm shocked it hasn't caught on more. The restaurant is both a tap room, restaurant, and mini golf place. Downstairs they have a small mini golf course and on the main floor they have another type of mini golf I'm not too familiar with. I think it's more about you rolling a ball across a table top mini golf course. It looked fun, but unfortunately we just didn't have the time to play. Something to look forward to next time! When we came in, we were instantly greeted by the man working behind the bar. He ushered us over and happily helped us place our lunch orders. The menu is your standard bar fair. Our kids went with the kids corn dogs & Mac & cheese, I went with a burrito, and my wife a salad. Once our food was ready, we all gobbled everything up. My kids loved their food, my wife said the salad was fine. Nothing amazing, but still hit the spot. My burrito, once you got through the heavy use of rice, was tasty & the meat flavorful. If they had cut the rice volume down by about 1/3 it would've been top notch. In all, we're glad we opted out of eating in the aquarium and stumbled upon this restaurant. We had a great time and our only real disappointment was that we didn't have the time to play some golf while we were there. Like I said above, I guess we now have something to look forward to the next time we're here.

Great place to meet up with friends. Chill and laid back. We ordered drinks played a quick round of miniature golf and I lost horribly. All drinks are served off the taps, there is a very small assortment of liquor but it got the job done lol. We ordered Birria fries and the pretzels with cheese. The cheese had good flavor but too thin for my dipping cheese preference. The Birria fries were good. The meat was flavorful just not enough of it. The outside ambience I where it's at! The tables with propane fire pits and all sorts of games. It was nice! We would definitely go back and try more snacks.

Stopped here based on good reviews, but the experience was just okay. There was no wait (only two other families dining), yet the food took longer than expected--partly because my buzzer died. I ordered a Mexican chopped salad with chicken ($18) but received a Caesar salad instead (as pictured). My daughter's smash burger with bacon and avocado ($23) was good, and the drinks were fine.

Fun little spot! They had hard cider in addition to beers. The tacos were delicious. We didn't get to doing the golf due to having our toddler with us-but it would have been fun! They have a little Photo Booth. Friendly staff!

What a fun spot! We stopped in on a Wednesday evening during a recent trip up the coast. You sit wherever you like and order food and drinks at the counter. We ordered the mac and cheese trio, the fish tacos and a salad with chicken. The food was pretty standard bar food, but everyone enjoyed their meals. We were delighted to see it was Trivia Night and stayed for the fun. Love that the location is close to hotels and right in the heart of Cannery Row. There are plenty of street and structure parking options nearby. Definitely a solid date night spot.

Found this spot last minute and it was such a great find. When we arrived, earlier in the evening, it was fairly empty with loads of spots to sit. We stayed upstairs enjoying drinks and playing a board game (tables were very conducive to a board game). The mixed cocktails available were very strong and I had the whiskey and Coke one (forgot the name). We did explore the downstairs but decided not to play put put. After I lost to our board game, we decided to play the pool/putt putt combo game upstairs. It was fun and unique. Overall we had a great time here, highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Pretty sad spot. We went for the putt putt (from other reviews, it seems like it's better if you actually eat/drink there?) but we headed straight downstairs. It was dark and gave no instruction on where to start, we had to walk around quite a bit before even seeing the numbers (hint: look down); the holes seemed pretty random and were waaaaay too easy to get through. Even having had a drink beforehand, it wasn't hard at all - we probably finished the course in all of about 7 minutes. Definitely not worth the money if you're only going for the mini golf. Oh, and what's up with the empty glasses all over? There was a collection started at the bar and random glasses/old scorecards throughout the course, and no staff downstairs. Odd.

Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.

There was also live music happening in the back room on this holiday evening, which was cool to check out. The art and decor in the restaurant was quirky and added character to the place. What's more, the staff was friendly and helpful and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. We got the cockney chicken pie, blackened rock cod, cup of clam chowder, and to drink, a lemon drop cocktail and big sur golden (draught beer). The only thing salty was the lemon drop, as they put salt on the rim instead of sugar. But it was still tasty and made well otherwise. The food was delicious, full of flavor without all the sodium.
