    Calamari and Fresh Salmon
    Lin M.

Honestly loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place doesn't look like much from the outside but I love the decor and feel of an English pub.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had beers the bar and then decided to just stay for dinner and were seated outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the calamari and the fresh salmon. I was surprised at the quality! And I kept seeing people order the Fish & Chips and that looked great too! Our server was the loveliest.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good service here, it's comfortable and the vibe is very chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fish and chips dish was good, the fish was a little overcook and the fries were a little undercooked but it tasted great and the sauce was delicious and not overbearing but balanced out the meal (which is excellent). The water tasted great (even with ice) as did the corned beef hash -- this was very good. The coleslaw is a bit sweet but overall it doesn't weigh you down and you can still have a brew without overdoing it on the stomach. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is live music sometimes adding an artistic atmosphere and I enjoy looking at the decorative walls and shelves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a place worth checking out for a cozy dinner with the fam or a group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The London bridge pub is like taking a trip to London without leaving Monterey. The place is decorated with all things British. It is very fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location right next to the boat docks at the harbor is amazing as well. On a beautiful day, it's hard to imagine a better spot to eat lunch or grab a drink and just watch the world go by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We all ordered bangers and mash for lunch when we were there. We all enjoyed them quite a bit and will definitely return to eat again another day and enjoy the beautiful view and very cute pub![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A short walk from the pier, this restaurant is exactly what you want a restaurant by the ocean to look like. Wooden captain statues, ship steering wheels, rope and everything else to set sail. We only had interaction with on of the staff, she seated us and took our order. Very nice and did well for being busy. I had the fish and chips, menu said "award winning" It was good, came with steak cut fries. Daughter had clam chowder in the bread bowl. I had a spoon full and the flavor was really good. She eat all the soup! Wife had BLAT bacon lettuce avocado tomato sandwich. No clue if it was good, she took that thing down fast. Great view of all the boats in the harbor, sea lions talking in back ground. We sat on patio and they have heaters and fire pits to stay warm. They did a great job blocking the wind. Defiantly a good spot when in town.

Fish & Chips with a side of slaw

I rarely get over here and it is a slice of heaven for a good fish & chips. The portion was large and hearty. I need remember that this is a great spot to drop in and grab a quick bite instead of hanging around downtown Monterey. I was promptly seated near a window to watch the tourists and boats. The server recommended several dishes, though I settled on the iconic fish & chips plate. It came with a large deep fried cod that was perfectly fried and opened up to tender fish. The fries helped in quashing the black and tan beer (Guiness and Bass Ale). The cole slaw was refreshing and hit the spot. The have a large dining room and a small patio outside. Come check out the drink & food specials.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a nice casual lunch while watching a football game in the bar area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating right on the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good and the service was great.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We rode our bikes here and ate outside, it was a brilliant view along the harbor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food was priced fairly for the location. No complaints, we had a great lunch here. Fish and chips was as yummy as the waiter said it would be.

    Black bean burger with fries

I went here when I was in Monterey for a group dinner. I did think the place was very amenable to having a large group and letting us move tables around and do separate checks. The service seemed a little harried with the large number of people who were ordering food. Also the food came out pretty quickly. The food itself was pretty average to mediocre. I was a bit dismayed how quickly my fish and chips came out because it made me think it was made ahead of time and not to order. The taste was pretty good but definitely nothing to write home about. I do think if I had been drinking alcohol I might have enjoyed it more - kind of my usual thought of bar/restaurants that the food is made to encourage you to drink more! My mom said the bean burger was just okay. The portions are pretty large. It's probably an indicator that the parking lot nearby was full and I saw people waiting to get into the upstairs restaurant, but this spot was relatively empty!

Located in Fishermans Warf plenty of paid parking spots. Place definitely made you feel like you were somewhere else with all the decorations. It was empty since I visited after lunch. Food was delicious staff was friendly. Would visit again.

Amazing service and very friendly folks! It's not just a pub but a family friendly restaurant too. The ambiance is very English... rather British! Lot of British curios true to the name Food was good! We had the curried fries, buffalo wings, fish n chips (good Icelandic cod not oily at all) and beef sliders.

    What a fun location!

Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.

I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.

Our waitress Rachel was great and took good care of us. We ordered the French dip (added Swiss, onions, and mushrooms) solid sandwich, though it could've used a touch more salt. The real star though, was the fish and chips. Genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Lightly battered, flaky, perfectly cooked. The vibe lands in that sweet spot of upscale casual without crossing into fine dining, comfortable but elevated. Highly recommend if you're passing through Carmel. We'll definitely be back.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good.
