The food was great, but the service was poor. 1. I dined alone, and the waitress didn't remove the extra plate set. 2. The waitress never came to take my order; the owner had to do it. 3. A customer paid and left, but their table remained uncleared for nearly 15 minutes. 4. After finishing my meal, the waitress didn't check if I wanted dessert or the bill. Again, the food was excellent, but the service was disappointing. One more thing, the owner was very nice. Well, hope the service will improve and they have a good business. read more

Service is friendly, but we sat at the bar to enjoy a beer and lunch, the bartender was super cool, so not sure how the Server staff is like. *They're currently in their soft opening phase.* Decided to stop by and try them out. LOVED the ambiance! The restaurant is split into two, families w kids and a bar side- so you have options. I really wanted to try this place out since they offer both American (for the kid) and Nepalese style dishes. All the Nepalese dishes were all so flavorful! Our lovely server, Rubina, was truly helpful with suggesting which dishes we should try since we were new to their cuisine. She was also very attentive in making sure we were enjoying our food or if there were anything that needed adjusting. Food was delicious! We especially loved the Paneer Momos, pear salad, tornado fries. Everything was very good and it was a nice spot for our group to sit and talk. However - there was a glitch with our Dal order. Our waiter did not write down our order. Somehow the Dal was missed. We asked and they said they would check. Nothing happened. We asked again. Nothing happened. We asked again. Nothing happened. Eventually (after an hour!) someone did check and the Dal had not been ordered. So they ordered it for us and we got the Dal more than an hour after first ordering it. There was no acknowledgement that a mistake had been made. We would have expected them to comp us for the Dal or something after all this. From our understanding, they're in a soft launch so hope they get their systems and service ironed out. read more

We started with yummy artichoke fritters, great dipping sauces! We had the vegetarian Mo Mos and I've never put anything so delicious in my mouth! The mixed veggie curry was also excellent, each vegetable cooked to perfection and flavor of the curry was outstanding! Wow. We stopped by at 5pm for drinks and food at the bar. The lighting and music playlist was mellow. The martinis were ridiculously low on the volume end. There was insanely loud noise coming from the kitchen for the hour and a half we were there.. it drowned out the music. A kitchen worker apologized and said they "were making sauce. We need to do that." He was sweet. The industrial noise was non stop. No idea. Then... the food. We ordered the fried calamari and the three chicken Momos to split. The calamari was HEAVILY fried and breaded. Of course the oil was probably the cheapest that you could use to fry things with. We could taste absolutely no taste of calamari. So we started to cut into the massive breading to see what was underneath and the calamari was about the bandwidth of a very small diameter rubber band. When we tasted the rubber band aside from the bread breading it had absolutely no taste of calamari.. was it cardboard, unfortunate worms? In our experience, Momo's are lovely entrées that are steamed. The Momos that we ordered seemed to have been deep-fried. They were gross. A tiny bit of chicken and a large covering. Keep moving. Tipsy Yeti is a fast food quality level bar/restaurant posing as groovy. read more

For fathers day, our party of eight, which included two children under the age of eight enjoyed a multi course dinner at this new Nepalese - American fusion restaurant. We've been coming to the old Long branch for years and discovered that it had been changed to the Tipsy Yeti. Our server, Rubina was charming and most helpful with her recommendations for Nepalese dishes. We ordered to share all of the dishes which were new for is . The outstanding favorite appetizers: the artichoke fritters, the chicken chili, and the wings. They offer a wide range of sauces, from plain to hot and spicy, all excellent wide a wide range od spices. The outstanding entrees included Pork and Mustard greens, and The Himalayan Mo Mos. We ordered the chicken momos sizzling style. Fantastic, you could make an entire meal out of Mo Mos ! The Tipsy Yeti has a absolutely beautiful bar which they inherited from the Long Branch and their bartender is clearly expert. We ordered entirely nonalcoholic cocktails. They offer a wide selection of mock tails, using limes, mangos, coconut, pomegranate juice and more. They were refreshing, and not at all Sweet which we appreciated. for those who don't like spicy Nepalese food, there is a comfort food menu that will please everyone. They offer burgers and pizzas. Our children had mac & cheese, which they gobbled down. . The only minor suggestion for servers, be sure to bring serving spoons for all of the dishes. We ordered so many that the servers were trying to get the hot plates to us, and in the rush they forgot serving spoons for several dishes. We highly recommend The Tipsy Yeti! It's pricey if you order wildly as did, but it's delicious and well worth it. read more

So so SO good. We were visiting Berkeley and the smell of the food here lured us in from the end of the block! The staff were so welcoming and answered our questions about items on the menu that we weren't familiar with. I especially love that they brought some spice on the side to try since we're a bit sensitive to spice (but also really enjoy the flavor from spicy food). The food tastes as good as it looks and smells. We got the tipsy fries, sizzler momos, kothey momos, and a choila! I originally stopped by to support a friend who was playing live music, but I ended up pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the whole experience -- especially the food. When I came on a Thursday night, they were a bit understaffed, but the energy was still there. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, friendly, and doing their best to keep things running smoothly. You can tell there's heart behind this place. They're still new and finding their rhythm, but with a few more weeks under their belt, I expect they'll only get better.
