My car developed a tire noise and Chester and his crew have always took good care of it. I tend to keep my cars a long time and they are a good reason why I am able to! Just needed a tire patch and had set an appointment a week prior. waited an hour and 18 minutes for them to even get my car on the lift. Took almost 40 minutes for them to put a patch on. So two hours for removing a plug and placing a patch. I have been a customer of TD for almost 15 years and have had great experiences at other TD outlets, but this was a joke. No communication and poor scheduling. Do not tell me I am in at 4p and not get me in till 5:18p. read more

Jamie is incredible! I left work with low tire pressure and a weird felling. Pulled over and my tire was low. Went somewhere else they didn't check the tires and only put a little air in. Left and went to tire discounters. Jamie immediately got me in. Checked every tire. Thoroughly checked one, then went and checked a second and got a bolt out of my tire. Since TD opened this location I have been a customer. I have used them for 100% of my car repair needs and they have been great. They have always been honest and the work has been good. Due to their honest and quality work they have grown and have s lot of business. Then then cut the weekend hours way back. They close at 4 on sat. and are closed Sunday. Now I show up to get work done and have to wait in long slow lines and then get told they can't get to my car until Monday. This is twice I have had this experience. I need to have the car during the week. They gotten to big for the staff and hours they offer. Honest and god work is useless if I can't get the work done. So a three star rating for what should be s five star place. Update: June 2020 Went To get a tire patched. I got there at 8 o'clock in the morning and was told they couldn't guarantee getting it done before the closing that day. An entire day to look at a busted tire seems a bit ridiculous, so I went somewhere else. Update: Sept. 2020 Last month, I had one of my vehicles at another location, because I was having trouble getting an appointment at tire discounters. The other place told me that my brake pads on one tire were put on backwards. So, I took it back to Tire Discounters and explained that all of the brake pads had been replaced by them. They took a look at it, and explained that the person who had done my brake pads was no longer working for them and gave me the impression that he had done some other bad work. However, they replaced both sets of front brake pads and the rotors without charge to me. I was extremely pleased with how they responded to the situation and their willingness to fix it. So, after having had some bad experiences I was ready to give them another chance. Yesterday, I called to make an appointment for a different car because the check engine light was on. The person on the phone told me that it would be a $60 charge to diagnose the problem. This was shocking to me, since I usually only expect that kind of charge we're going to a dealership. The cost of going to the dealership, it's about 50% of the reason that I don't go to the dealership very often. Anyway, I took the car up the road to Michael Tires instead where there is no such automatic charge. They fixed my issue for about $11. That let's me know they are honest and I'm more likely to trust them when they tell me I need a more expensive fix. read more

I purchased a special offer that Tire discounters was offering that involved 3 oil changes. I'm finally on my last and final oil change and I will not be returning to Tire discounters for anything else. I purposely schedule appointments so I'm not waiting for hours each time but every time I had my oil changed I've still had to wait nearly 3 hours. The first oil change, they ran out of oil and had to have a carrier service bring them more oil. The other times they make excuses about employees calling in or just being short staffed in general. If that is the case then they need to turn away walk in customers or make sure they know that they are looking at a multiple hour wait. I'm just very disappointed in their service and am thankful that I've finally made it through my 3 oil changes so I don't have to come back anymore. read more

I had new tires installed and an alignment performed on my car this past Saturday (January 4th, 2020) at the Tire Discounters location on Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky. I've been driving for 16 years and have never had a positive experience with tire maintenance. For years, I went to Ken Towery's because that's where my family had always gone. After constantly being talked down to, having appointment times made online not be honored, and constant barrages of up-selling; I decided that I was going to go elsewhere. I asked a friend who is a mechanic where he would suggest and he said Tire Discounters. Upon arriving, a mechanic named Jamie Howard respectfully took my information and then pulled my car into a bay for immediate service. She didn't act condescending towards me or try to pressure me into buying things that I didn't want or need. The price she charged was exactly the same as the one quoted online! Add to this that an alignment was included with the purchase of four new tires, and I'm able to say that this was the first time I've ever had a pleasant tire buying experience! Jamie is amazing. She is very helpful, thorough and exactly what Tire Discounters needs at all their stores. I am tempted to offer her a role with my company to run our entire service center that is how good she is. First, she cares. Second, she gives you specific details on your problem and how to solve it -- even if it doesn't involve their shop, she will tell you what needs to get done and why. Point and case, I had 3 issues. One she could not resolve (OEM wheel replacement), but she guided me with her and tech's opinion for what I needed to do. On the other 2 issues, she explained what their company had did prior and why one of the issues was unrelated. Very professional technicians, but they are there to make sales. I often feel that I am pressured into maintenance that I may not really need. They also never fail to suggest things like new wipers and etc. The one thing I can say is they have the most fair roadside warranty of any place and they always give a free alignment with any tire purchase. I recently had a nail in my tire that cause it to be irreparable. They replaced it on the roadside warranty and gave me a free alignment. My only complaint is that they often make appointments and have you wait an excessively long time before they start the work on your car. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to keep you waiting when you have an appointment. But I have never once had them fail to do quality work. And they stand behind their parts and work too. I had a bad alternator installed and within the warranty period they replaced the alternator and did not charge me for additional labor. read more

I came in for a basic oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I did not need the unnecessary and misleading up-sell on the oil change to extract an additional $20. I realize shops stay in business by performing "additional services". I selected you for the availability (appointment) and alignment need and you mislead me on the oil change. But when I got to tire discounters the guy told me that he may be an hour wait because I did not have an apt which was fine. But he got me in and out in 37 mins, they was very helpful and VERY nice!! Made an appointment at 11am because the driver side back tire wouldn't hold air. Should be an easy fix, just replace the tire. 5 hours later and they're still not done. And all they said was, "we have another technician coming in". They didn't even get the car in to fix it until around 12:30 to 1. I have had some bad experiences, I had to ask them to put someone else on the job, they apologized and said the guy was normally not left unsupervised and only does menial tasks. However this last one ensures i won't go back! A simple valve cover gasket replacement. Well I got the car back with the engine cowling cover broken, hoses not secured as well as pulley covers and hardware dangling unsecured.
