I looked for them by indication and it was the worst thing I did! I changed the four tires on May 6th and August 17th in an oil change when the car was suspended I saw that the front tires are finished, they charged me for the alignment and they didn't do it!!!! I asked for 02 of my old tires back and they changed them right away and showed me from another car saying that there was no way to use them!! Then I questioned that they weren't mine, but since I changed them all I thought I would have peace of mind and now I'm going to have to pay for 02 tires and an alignment that I paid for and they didn't do it! They are bad characters. They will increase the value of the tires, promise you alignment and if possible keep your old tires for financial advantages!!! Outstanding service! I took a turn too quickly and hit the curb when pulling into a neighboring business. I immediately busted my tire in a spot that was not repairable. I was advised to contact Tire Direct, and was astounded at how helpful they were. My car has specialized tires that have to be ordered, which can sometimes cause a significant delay and they were able to get them for delivery for next day. I was very appreciative of their reactiveness and helpfulness to my situation because my car did not have a spare (most new cars don't) and my car had to be towed so I had to make a quick decision about where to go. The staff was also able to advise of a better tire to use - same manufacturer and look as my current tires, but recommending all season tires instead of summer tires, which ended up being cheaper. I have used American Tires in the past, but they would not order the tires for me until my car was on site, they wouldn't even take my card over the phone to process. So American Tires lost a customer and Tires Direct gained a new one. read more

Unaware of an alignment issue I popped a tire on the freeway. Still shaken, alone and desperate I was prime fodder to be taken for a sucker. The AAA guy who helped me with my spare mentioned this place was pretty good and was nearby. I just went where I was told honestly I would have gone anywhere in that state of mind. Luckily this place was able to take me as a "walk in" appointment. The guy who helped me was legit, honest and took the time to explain my options. I made what I felt was a solid and informed choice and later I found out I got a great value as well. Highly recommend. I live in Berkeley but I may be driving to Lafayette now for my tires. Buyers beware. Bait-shark tactic. You will be quoted a price over the phone otd price. I show up at 9am and was told additional labor cost to swap out sensors??? Hmmm ok!!jimmy the sales rep. Says don't waste my time it's to early in the morning. I tell Jimmy you guys screwed up twice. 1st did not honor price over the phone ,second charging extra for swapping wheel sensors. Really!!! Ok it gets better. I hand over 4 brand new wheels that where sealed up and of course they scratched one wheel during install. He is only willing to credit $30 for his screw up. Lastly the very big deal to me. This is a CASH only place!!! WTF!! It's my fault for having him do the work in the first place. Plus bad business ethics. This's the worst please I ever be on all Bay Area car shop, I was so excited to get new wheels and tires for my truck but as soon as I go back to pick up my truck from this shop, It turns to nightmare. It was impossible to drive because it was hitting the metal frame inch and a half, So they tell me they need to cut the metal so the tire can make the full turn, They change to different set of tires but they ended by installing use tires, even one of the tires got a plug repair in it. Under new Management ......These guys started by selling me the wrong tire.... I had to bring it back within 5 minutes as the truck was unsafe.... I then put a stronger 10 ply tire on that I picked. Then It got better... they wanted to charge me 300.00 labor to put the different tires on..... really.... not kidding... I told them to pound sand... Next, 2 days later the valve stem started leaking ... Hummmmm.. Lucky I had a tire air compresser in the truck, willing to give them a pass until the morning 4 days later and found 1 lug nug from each of the front tires was loose... I mean it came off with my hand... these should have 140 foot pound torque.... I believe this was all on purpose because I made them take back the tires.... either way the guys are really really really bad ... no kidding true story... read more

I would give this business ZERO stars if I could. I made a deal with this dealer (Name is SHAF "supervisor of the shop) via Offer Up and we set to meet. When I was on my way the morning of, he OK'd us meeting. A few minutes later he messaged saying the tires were sold. I asked if he marked them sold because we were on our way and he said no, he had sold them to someone else. I'm about an hour from the shop, was already on the road when he messaged. Very bad businessman to make an arrangement and then go back on his word. The employee at the shop reached out to "SHAF" who told him he NEVER made a deal with me. Which is a lie, pictures tell he CLEARLY made a deal. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GIVING THIS DEALER BUSINESS!! The new wheels that i got doesnt come with caps and one of the guys i think his name is Sam was very concerned and let me know about might scratch the wheel. He then went and spoke to Jimmy and came back to me letting me know about it again but they have a new tool that wouldnt scratch the wheel from the hub. My GF's father and mother wanted me to help them find a dependable beater truck that they could use for their landscaping business. After just over a month of searching, I found one, but it needed new tires fast. The soggy winter conditions weren't helping the cause either, LOL! So began the search... I only had a specific amount of funds left to pay for the tire work (tires, mounting, balancing, disposal of the old tires) because the other portion of the funds leftover from the truck purchase went to tune-up and maintenance parts. I called a few tire shops in the area, looking for a specific brand, model and OEM size for the truck. I wanted these specific tires because of the reviews I read about it. I wasn't about to have sub-par tires installed on my GF's parents vehicle. That would be no bueno. When I called Tires Direct, Sam answered. I advised him of the tires I was looking for. He said that they had only 2 left in stock but that he could get the other 2 tires in the next day. I replied, cool, how much for the tires, mounting, balancing, etc.??? He quoted me the price and I was floored. His out the door price was more than awesome. Beating the other 2 shops' quotes by a notable margin. I told him that I'd drop by since I was gonna be in the immediate area. When I arrived, I asked him if he was serious about the quote. He said, yup thats it! It gets even better... Sam called me the next day, as promised, and had the new tires mounted, balanced, installed and paperwork done in a whopping 18 minutes!!! I dunno about you but that is an impressive time. I didn't see them cut any corners either. I've already mentioned my positive experience to some of my friends and family. I said to keep this shop in mind for their next tire needs.
