First of all I want to direct my energy towards the gentleman at the front desk-- I walked in, but he was rude from the get go. he was very adamant about letting me know I was wrong- also telling me that I didn't need an alignment and rotation, and that's not the issue- my thing is how does he know that when he didn't actually inspect my car??? He made that assumption.. because I was a girl, and I didn't know what I was talking about? That's the vibe I got from him. I've come here 2 other times to purchase my tires, and the reason why I go here is because I'm familiar with this place. I had priced a common tire at Les Schwab. They told me they could have it later that day and would cost $229. Absurd. A tire store that didn't stock common tires? I drove around and found Tires Direct, a family-owned company. I drove in, got the tire for $100 including taxes and balancing. The guarantee was 50k miles, too. EVEN MORE! They mounted the new tire in about 15 minutes and DIDN'T CHARGE ME until the job was finished! Who ever does that? In the future when I need tires I'd drive 25-50 miles to get to Tires Direct. I came across this shop when I was looking to price tires for my Toyota Camry. She is my everyday car that I used as a commuter for several years, but had been garaged for nearly two years. Her tires were bald and desperately needed replacement. I called around to try to find descent tires at a good price. I didn't need the best tires any longer because this was now going to be used as a secondary car for local travelling. I called around and spoke with several tire shops. I even considered getting used tires with good tread. I did not want to spend any additional money on this car because I had just spent $3,000 to get it in safe working condition. I had the car for nearly 20 years and it had been very good to me. She earned the right to have a little work done on her, but new tires was going to be a necessity, not a luxury! I spoke with Mike at Tires Direct and he gave me a little run down on the type of tire he felt would be acceptable to be placed on the car. He gave me a quote on 4 Goodyear tires, mounted and balanced. I needed a radiator flush as well on the car and an oil change. Mike informed me that they had the ability to do it all on site. After a few more calls to a couple of other shops, I realized what a great price he quoted me to do everything on the car at one visit. The price he gave me, which included replacing all 4 tires, the radiator flush and synthetic oil change, was the exact same price that one shop qouted me for just the tires! The exact same tires! No need to haggle or shop around! Mike will not only qoute you a comparable price to any other shop, but he will beat the price with his initial qoute. He is honest and knowledgeable about tires and will be up front with you. He may look young, but he has been working with tires for a very long time and knows his stuff! Today I needed rear tires for my baby Merc. My SLK 350. She is definitely spoiled rotten, but she's my baby! I just got her recently and she is a little diva! She only rides well with high performance and luxury shoes. She had Contis on her when I bought her, but Mike suggested Pirellis, since these are what he had in stock that would be comparable. I took her in there first thing in the morning and she was seen immediately. They even did a brake inspection and an alignment check. I would suggest an appointment because it can get pretty busy, but they do do walk-ins. You just might have to wait for a long while. Oh! And if you get your tires through them, they will do tire balance and rotations, tire repairs and road hazard corrections on all the tires that they sell you at no additional charge! What a deal! Tires Direct is located right on Sonoma Blvd in Vallejo. My sister had a flat so she googled a tire place and this one popped up. She just walked in and they replaced her tire with a new one in about fifteen minutes. So when I got a flat I went to them. It was a Wednesday afternoon and I walked in and they removed 2 nails from my tire and patched it up. Each hole was $20 so I ended up paying $40 which I think is about average price. The service was good and they are quick to boot. The other good thing is that they are open on Sundays which we found a lot of other places are not. Knock on wood but if I ever get another flat I will definitely go to Tires Direct. read more

I went in to get all four tires replaced. In the past I've dealt with Jay who is professional and polite. Since they are from Pakistan as I am, I decided to give them my business again. This time I was helped by Kenda. Who is very soft spoken but rude, unprofessional & probably racist too ( I will explain the charge in a minute). I asked for new tire's estimate & he (Kenda) asked me for the tire size which I offered to get it for him but he said I can go get it, no problem. He comes back in & plugs the info in his computer where he finds out that I am a repeat customer as I bought all four tires from here that need to be replaced after a year. I explained that I drive a lot therefore I can consider a better quality that might last a bit longer than the current tires I have. The prices he gave for better quality tires; I couldn't afford so I wanted to go with the same class of tires that I have. I asked about the warranty & he briefly went over it that led me to ask him another question. But he was not ready to listen to me or answer anymore questions that I may have. He tells me to "be to point as I have other customers to handle" (there was only one customer in line who was already being assisted by Jay). At this point I realized that he is not interested in my business or he is simply irritated by who knows what. I wanted to tell him about the tires but he got upset. So I reminded him that I am also a customer and its not like am telling you a movie story; and you don't have to be like this but since you prefer dealing with others and not me, I should take my business somewhere else. It seemed like he was relief and did not care much about my business. Frankly! I know he is Muslim and when he went out to get the tires specs, he saw a cross hanging on my rear view mirror. Perhaps, he did not like that as he may have been expecting me to be a fellow Muslim from Pakistan. Oddly enough; but this is where I agree with our idiotic President Trump about Muslims. Needless to say, that's how I feel and regardless of my assumption on racial background, he had no reason to insult me like this or to be rude to me as I never gave him any chance. There's a lot of tire shops in Vallejo who are much more reasonably priced and are much more pleasantly professional than this guy. I would never go back even if they have a better deal than everybody else in town. I'd rather spend more bucks for not to ever be treated like this. Shame on him! read more

Been coming here a handful of times, spent lots of money with this business within the past couple months had good experiences until this morning. Was a tire tech for several years, and know exactly the process behind installing tires on a vehicle. Usually would install my own tires on my own vehicles but decided to support local business, because I had good experience with them in the past. Was satisfied with today's job till I got home to re inspect my wheels and noticed a scratch on my semi new wheels.. Had no curb rash, no scratches prior to bringing my wheels here this morning. You can see in the photo, the wheels were scratched due to removing the old weights off the wheel. Upset with the service, I came back to bring it to their attention hoping to get some sort of compensation or my money back for the damage. Technician and sales advisor advised that "accidents happen", and told me "the most I can do is say sorry". None of the crew members pointed anything out when pulling my car out, but admitted to their faults when bringing the car back. With a little persistence and talking to several people, they advised the most they can do is a free oil change or free rotation and balance the next I come around. Unfortunately after today's experience, I don't think there will be a next time. I really am a firm believer of supporting local businesses, but after today I think it's best I continue to work own my own vehicles from this point on. read more

I went down their. The same friendly person who had answered the phone took my order. I asked about how long? Since there were people ahead of me. They said about an hour. Okay, before you check Costco wholesale for tires or get yours realigned at Pep Boys, you should definitely try here first. That's what we should've done; after waiting an entire morning for my 2006 Hyundai Tiburon to get new tires put on at Costco where the lines were significantly longer, and buying from them at $151 a tire, we should have checked things out here first. We only had to go to this place upon learning that Costco does NOT do wheel alignment; which really pissed us off upon getting the Tiburon back. This place- sells wheels, and does realignment on site. Not to mention, significantly cheaper than Costco's prices. $69.99 for Alignment, and an estimated $334 for 4 wheels + realignment, as opposed to Costco's exorbitant $654 for wheels, no alignment. Tire was good price but my review is about the guy that did my tires he stripped my threads on the bolt and in the housing. He told me it was probably something that happened before. And he couldn't get the last bolt in beside him forcing it in more and messing my bolt or the housing up I did it myself. When I got home the other bolt looked like they where forced I would not go back just because of how inexperienced the worker were. read more
