Delicious food, made to order subs but AWFUL service. The front counter team (order takers) always acted rushed, indifferent and just plain RUDE. A recent order of mine was inproperly constructed and when I went back, counter personnel just looked at me sideways, involved the another rude employee, then they unwrapped the sub examining it like the didn't believe me. Instead of preparing a replacement sub, they moved the meat to another piece of bread and returned it. Tito's is a small grocery store with a deli side. The deli side I feel is definitely the focal point because they are really delicious. I usually stop by here once a week just for my sandwich fix. I like to order the salami style sandwich and the empanadas. The salami sandwich has a generous portion of different slices of their salami. It also comes on their delicious sandwich bread. The empanadas are really good. The crust is never dry which is great. It's baked just right so the flavor of the crust comes out more. This place is always busy and for good reason: food, great service and THE FOOD. My family has frequented this place for 20+ years, so I brought my dad today and he went on and on about their subs. Milanesa is always a go to, the ranchera is exceptional and their empanadas... I'm willing to make the drive from DTLA just for an empanada, call it nostalgia, good food and or comfort food. Something about the green olives in their beef and chicken empanadas adds to the masterful flavor combinations. Got lucky today and was in and out in under 20 minutes and I learned they now do online ordering! Tried their pork ribs for the first time, they were so tender! The man at the door is incredibly considerate, I saw him offer a seat for a person with mobility issues. With covid and all, he put her in a section where she was able to maintain the 6+ feet apart from others while being comfortable. I was introduced to Tito's 33 years ago when I worked in the area. It was where my love for empanadas began. I have been known to drive from OC just for their empanadas de res when I crave them. I have not found any I like better! The chicken one is too sweet for my taste so I always get the beef. And their sandwiches are also delicious. Be sure to get them "con chilies". Their cheese empanadas will literally make you melt and cry and go crazy. Seriously the best empanadas i've ever had. The cheesiest and even though it might not be healthy to eat 10 in 1 sitting, I'd do it anyway. This is an Argentinean Restaurant with a variety of menu items all delicious but I enjoy our family tradition, their regular submarine which is a cold sandwich. Their subs are the best ever! Empanadas and Milanesa are delicious too. Staff is always friendly and well organized specialty now during the pandemic. Expect it to be busy. Excellent Argentinian market with some of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. I've been told that they use imported Argentinian meat which is supposed to be the best in the world and that they cross cut the meat so thinly that it falls apart in your mouth. Not sure if the above is true but I believe cuz these sandwiches are super simple but I doubt you and I could replicate it at home so there has to be something else. Lunch brought me and my co-worker to this place for today's sustenance. Located at Tito's Plaza it was not surprising which business owned this property. Upon entering we noticed how busy the place was with a line of customers waiting to order and another group waiting to pick up. We made our order of Skirt Steak Sandwiches, Empanadas, and Buffalo Wings both regular and spicy. Taking our lunch back to work and started munching away I realized why the place was popular. The Skirt Steak Sandwich was flavorful with caramelized onions and the delicious meat was juicy along with the melted cheese to really make it a satisfying meal. Got to rate the food 5 stars. My favorite sandwiches and empenadas. They also have great chicken wings and battered fries. Service is fast and good. You order with the clerk and your food is done in minutes and are always consistent. I love their lomo and milanesa sandwich with green chiles, but I keep hearing their ham sandwich is amazing. You can eat inside, but it's like eating in a liquor store lol. We always get to go. Great for tailgates and small parties. Definitely recommend.
