The beef empanadas are big, full of flavorful ground beef, and super juicy. They are wrapped in a dough that is not too doughy and slightly crispy. For me, one is a meal. I can't get enough of them! I'm not a big fan of sandwiches in general. But I make an exception for the milanesa because it is packed with flavor and is yummy. The milanesa sandwich is a breaded steak sandwich with tomatoes and chiles. The chiles make all the difference! It adds a spicy, slightly vinegary kick which cuts through the richness of the breaded steak. The sliced tomatoes and soft yet chewy crust bread hold everything in place. This is my family go-to sandwich and pound of fries spot. If you get the fries hot and fresh as they're bringing them out of the fryer, that's like hitting the jackpot, because it's so good! The seasoning of their fries uses a right amount of spices - paired with freshly out of the frier? Yum-mo! The hot sandwich selection has a better selection than the cold sandwich selection. Tito's Market sells really tasty chicken empanadas and beef empanadas. They put a good amount of filling (fyi there is a whole olive in each). The dough is sturdy (nothing will be falling apart) and best part is all the juices from the filling soaks into the breading. Line can be long, but does go quick. Place is a hot spot for empanadas, so there is normally a load of cooked empanadas in a tray under a heat lamp. If you plan to order anywhere from 20-30 pieces, I'd recommend calling ahead and placing an order (usually ready 30-45min). The empanadas store well. I take my leftovers and heat it up in a convection oven. Just one tip: Don't forget to grab the Tapitio packets on the way out. read more
