This was done in the Target app. I received a notification that the order was ready and to click a button to let them know I was coming - only the button then took me to a screen that said that no order was there to be picked up. Again, screen 1 says that the order is ready for pickup, screen 2 says that no order is there. So, I get in my car, drive to the store and go to customer service. I third in line, waiting for a woman with a cart full of Christmas decorations to return each and every item in the cart - all of which were obviously used. The poor clerk was alone and was struggling to scan all this stuff while she was shuffling through her receipts trying to find the correct receipt. Totally outrageous, she decorated her place for free, returning all this stuff. No surprise stuff is expensive when there are abusers of the system like this. Meanwhile more and more people lined up behind me. When it was my turn at the counter, the clerk had to leave the counter to go to their stockroom to get my stuff. By then there were probably 15 people waiting. So, something broken in the app and way too generous return policies lead to bad service. We all pay for this nonsense.

Parking is plentiful which is helpful around this time. Be prepared during the season though, for lines to be backed up to the end of the store at times. Of course it's a hunt to find any treasures, and sometimes you leave empty-handed. You can find some good things, but be warned, if you haven't been to a Ross before they can get extremely messy. There are often clothes strewn about, or in the wrong place. They box up most of the makeup and Skin Care now, so that is helpful. They even started to get some more name brands, such as drunk elephant recently. I was disappointed recently when I bought a really cute pair of slippers, that literally fell apart within the first week. I only wore them around the house a bit and the whole bottom stitching on the soles just came unraveled. It seems no matter what day you go here, they are always busy if you don't go first thing in the morning. Great thing about the holiday hours is they stay open until like midnight and open around 6:00 a.m. I am also glad that they finally updated their systems, and if you lost your receipt, they can look it up with the credit card you purchased with as long as it was within 30 days. This is extremely helpful for me as I often lose track of receipts, and they don't have the email receipt option like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. It isn't till the level of Marshalls or TJ maxx, but Ross is a must for me tol hit up occasionally to look for great finds.. They are often the cheaper of the three as well.

I do not have a Kohl's account and I thought she said she would help me open up an account for a rewards program or something like that. Of course it turned out that I had applied for a credit card. I told her that I did not want the credit card and she said that I said that I did want it. I firmly told her that I did not want it and she minimized the situation. She said I can just ignore the account and not use it. I felt like the associate was more focused on signing me up for a credit card than understanding whether it was actually a good fit for me. Shopping center is right in front of Costco, and has Kohl's, plus tons of restaurants and smaller shops. Be in the watch for people doing crazy stuff, because they aren't paying attention. Larger than the Walmart in Escondido, with a slightly different selection. I have to come here when my location is out of stock on something. But they don't carry some of the food that Escondido does, even though they have a larger selection. Lots of self-checkout stations, although they often close a few down to limit the number of people scanning at one time. I had an issue with a coupon on a product not scanning, and the the employee overseeing the self-check was very helpful.

This sparked a strange dialog which revealed that he was thinking of saying something to me and blaming me before I even entered the store. After shopping and exiting the store the trash is still there on the ground (see photo). I have never bought popcorn nor was I eating it lol. Why accuse someone of something they didn't do at the entrance of your store? There are many cameras and witnesses. Why not apologize in the beginning instead of saying/pretending that "you did"......? Are employees here like this?

How sad!!! However, the employees that are here are very helpful. The racks are all full of merchandise and the Clearance Items have acquired its own sizable real estate on the Second Floor near the restrooms and elevator. The parking lot is plentiful, so empty and melancholy. It's like a ghost town. Sales promotions are plentiful, and it's good that here you can actually try on garments in real dressing rooms. If returning merchandise go to the first floor. JC Penney was an anchor foundation for the shopping mall back in the heyday. Today, it's a reminder of how things were simpler and going to the shopping mall was a great expedition for fun and entertainment for the family and friends.
