first & last time in this store. Everything is so disorganized. They rush you out of the fitting room an hour before closing. The store manager is the worst. The way she talks to her employees is not right. She screams at them in-front of all customers. She makes them do everything and she just stands around, as a manager you should be the one running around more than anyone. Poor employees looks scared of her. This manager needs to be demoted, she does not know how to treat her employees. Employees need to speak up for themselves, or the manager needs to relax and learn to do her job correctly. read more

I liked this store better than Ross and Marshall's..The same company owns Home Goods also. The lay out was more presentable. Nice displays and set ups. All kind of stuff. I was surprised that they had a couple of Kayaks. All kind of camping items and coolers and most of all outdoor items. They all had a large variety of Halloween goodies and costumes.I was able to get in and make a purchase with no delays. The employees during my visit did acknowledge me. Overall a pleasant visit. Just based on the prices alone this place is always worth it just to check out what they have. I'd say about 1/3 of the time they have to style of shirts & pants that I actually like but during the other 2/3 of the times I'll find some type of sports gear or something for the home at half the price that what they'd normally cost. You won't find a rolex watch, or a coach purse for 100 buck (or at all) but there is a lot of popular named brand stuff here. Compared to macys I'd say TJ Maxx is what big lots is to Trader Joes. Not everything is the best, but the stuff thats close to it cost a lot less. read more

Sometimes the line gets long but that's not an issue for me because if I'm just gonna get one item I'll just leave without purchase and come back another day. The little circle seal on the box was broken and the package for the item was also already opened. As with all TJ Maxx locations, it's really a crap shoot coming in here. Prices are great and they have a wide variety of inventory. However, there's absolutely no guarantee you'll find what you were going in for and if they DO have it, be sure to check it out. I can't tell you how many items I've picked up here that were damaged or just flat out broken. The store is definitely set up in a way that you're basically forced to browse every isle. It's as if the whole store is an impulse buy store. You might come in looking for just one thing and you'll come out with a dozen things you never knew you needed. Just be forewarned! read more

It's clear they're not employing people because relying on two people to run an entire store seems to be the norm no matter what time of day you go. Today is December 14th 2022. I bought a perfume at 5:00 p.m. I asked the girl at the register if I didn't like the perfume I can return it right? She said yes but she went to go double check anyway. She comes back with a middle age Middle Eastern or Hispanic lady with her hair in a bun, and that lady said once I open the plastic seal it is non returnable, I think she was the manager. This sounded odd to me because I've returned cologne at TJ Maxx before at this location. I double check on the internet and TJ Maxx has a 30-day return policy for perfume. I also called TJ Maxx corporate and they verified with me that I am privileged to return this cologne within 30 days and if the the store tells me I cannot return the perfume to ask them to call corporate in front of me so they can help me with the return. I don't appreciate being given false information for whatever malicious intent they might have against customers returning perfume. Shame on that lady with the bun hair telling me I couldn't return perfume. read more

You can find really good skincare products here! I buy majority of my korean skincare products here and it's so cheap! You can also find some too faced products here as well but the colors are limited... I found my favorite too faced born this way foundation here for only $5, which is a STEAL. I also buy my lashes here sometimes but prices and can inconsistent with that. There's also a lot of drugstore skincare products you can find here which is more than half off compared as if you get it at target or at cvs. I don't really shop for clothes here but the last time I went with my bf and we saw that they had a lot of champion sweaters and he even found sweats that they usually sell at pacsun. The lines here can get pretty long, even when there's multiple cashiers in the front, expect to wait at least 10-20 mins sometimes! read more

This has to be the worst TJ Maxx store in the SFV when it comes to their beauty department. All of the other stores are stocked with great products and high end make up like Nars, Too Faced, etc...but NOT this store . It only has a few items IF that and the way it's stocked looks like a complete mess and NEVER organized like the other stores! I am starting to wonder if they are holding back those products for themselves--even so their sloppiness in this area needs a lot work. So get it together! It is well kept, and relatively clean. Large selection in all of the departments. Be prepared to wait FOREVER in line to pay for your purchases. Only 3 cashiers for 40+ people in line. Not kidding. Found what I needed but the checkout line was incredibly inefficient. Maybe it's the particular location and the demographic that shops here (older women), but the checkout took extremely long. There were 20 people in line, 3 cashiers, but for some reason every customer wanted to have an extended conversation with the cashier during checkout. Cashiers entertained them too, which isn't necessarily wrong and some might argue is nice, but in this context they probably should've tried to politely move people along... 30 minute wait. read more

I'm a big fan of bargain hunting and good deals, so places like TJ Maxx are fun for me. This location is fairly small but I usually find what I am looking for (& then some!). They also have a large selection of pet toys and items, so I almost always grab a toy or two for my fur babies who like to destroy them- much less of a problem when they only cost $3 or $4 a piece. I swear my dogs know what Tj Maxx shopping bags look like and they get so excited. I also love the housewares section. They have the best and cutest blankets and pillows! I usually look though the greeting cards - they have such fun designs and are only $2 so I can always grab a few to have on hand for birthdays, etc. Jewelry is another favorite section of mine and I can almost always find the perfect earrings or necklace to go with an outfit. Recently we even found some of the cutest pool floaties here & they were the hit of our recent backyard barbecue. Minus one star because there is always, always a massive line. Sometimes they have several cashiers working that the line moves quickly but other times it just lags. read more

I have visited this location for years upon years. As TJ Maxx goes, it's a TJ Maxx. But this one has the same problem that everyone of these types of stores has in my opinion. This customer service and organization lacks in so many ways. Your best bet to get any type of customer service at this location is a 50/50 chance at the register. Employees on the floor, forget it. It seems like they know who they will talk to (Each other) or friends visiting, or people of the same culture; however, a regular customer doesn't stand a chance with this crowd. It's always good to save money whenever you can and that's what a place like TJ Maxx is all about. This location is clean and organized which is what you want from any business. Nice wide aisle make maneuvering around easy. The parking lot is a little crowded but that's due to the countless restaurants that fill the shopping center. I came here looking for pet supplies and found exactly what I needed and then some. Carts are available in the entrance and the rear of the store which is really smart because no one wants to walk all the way to the front of the store for a cart. read more

This TJMAX has been here since I could remember! Would come here with my mom as a child and now I come with my own child. Obviously this tells you that this business is running great ! They always have the best brands in stores . From makeup products to designer clothes and shoes and for all my Rae Dunn fans . This is the place to go . For every season this is my first stop because I know I'll find what I need here and there's no need to walk to another store . I have never had a rude encounter like this one. There was a worker there named berta and she not only didn't return my items when I explained to her why I didn't want them and she said they were used. She made up an excuse to not take them. She was yelling at the other associates saying why did you return the items that were clearly theirs. She made them feel so bad that they apologized for their coordinators behavior. I felt so disrespected because she didn't give me a chance to do my return and just right off the bat said no take this somewhere else. When I said I was going to write a review on her she said "I'd be more than happy if you do so go ahead". Do not go here they are very disrespectful. And I wasn't the only customer she did this too. (This was the TJ Max in Sherman Oaks) but then I came to this Granada Hills one and the girl Collette was super rude and insisting the damage on the shoes where as a result of me using them. Another lady who was a supervisor had the biggest attitude with customers. They refused to accept my return and directed me to the Sherman Oaks store.
