I've been shopping at this location for years and had always found good deals and had helpful service however The last few times I've shopped here the service has been horrible. Tonight I went in after work and asked to speak with a manager today about a $6.00 return/exchange and the manager was so rude I will never shop at this location again. This was the straw that broke the camels back, and will gladly drive to Westlake village and Granada hills where the staff is accommodating and friendly. read more

I like this location a lot. Especially when compared to their former location in Canoga Park/Winnetka location (next to Rite Aid at the corner of Sherman Way and Winnetka). The selection is great, the employees all seem to be pretty cool. Also, there isn't an air of desolation hanging over this place like the aforementioned location, which I think was in part, due to the neighborhood and its issues, and more alarmingly, the armed robberies that happened during the 90's and 2000's which wrecked the place and most likely precipitated a move to better surroundings. I know quite a bit about those robberies well, as I missed one by 10 minutes in 1993, and another in 2009 by a mere 5 minutes. Then there were the employees who were fired for stealing, yep, there was that kind of action at the old TJ Maxx store 695.I recall watching two employees being taken out of the store in handcuffs too. Or walking around the store, and seeing dirty diapers dropped under the wracks. So yes, much better surroundings. Anyhow, I come here, as does the Ladyfriend. We always manage to find great items, be it clothes, housewares, or as is the case for her, shoes, boots, or sandals. I have found great items where the prices would be 1/3 the cost one would pay at a department store. The store is very customer friendly, well stocked and arranged for easy maneuvering, especially on weekends when it is stacked with customers. And I can't say it enough, it is clean. Also, one can get great gift ideas without breaking their budget. And they always stock a lot of wrapping paper, gift tags, tissue paper, and gift bags for those who want to stock up for Christmas, birthdays, weddings, Festivus. The lines can back up pretty quick, but checkout is usually orderly and efficient. Thank you TJ Maxx for a clean and pleasant shopping experience. read more

Tj Maxx has really stepped it up!! i remember going into several different TJ Maxx locations over the year's and they would always be unorganized, messes of clothes littered all over the place....not anymore..Hurrah! I just came to this location today and I was super impressed by the clean, neat and how well organized this store is. The best part is they carry super cute clothes :) I wasn't here for long, but just enough time to find two adorable outfits for my daughter and a cute top for me...and for under $40.00! i went here with my mom and my mom went to the jewelry section and asked the lady there to hold on to a pair of earrings for her. The lady right away was rude. My mom's english is not that good but its not a reason to get impatient. My mom doesn't like confrontation so she brushed it off. when my mom is ready to buy the earrings she goes back. So i asked her for the earrings and she was just starring at me like if I'm stupid. Then she asks how do they look like. So I'm translating for my mom and the lady starts acting impatient again. She stays were she's at and lifts two objects like if shes looking for the earrings but obviously isn't and says its not here. My mom was upset. I was so angry at how someone can be that rude to a customer who has been nothing but nice. My mom loves Tj Max she even has their credit card cause she shops there so much. But I will never shop at that store. My mom didn't deserve that. read more

I shop at this TJ Maxx twice a month. I bought a hammock on clearance from another location that assured me that any TJ Maxx would take back my item. The manager at this location basically accused me of stealing a part that never came with this item and refused to take it back, justifying her unethical actions by claiming she couldn't sell the item in the store. Never mind that I lost 100 dollars on the item. II promptly called the store on South Sepulveda where I purchased the item from a manager and the manager there, Erica, told me it was wrong of this location to not take back the item because all locations are supposed to honor their returns within the proper time frame and with a receipt. I was able to return it the next day to the place I bought it, but I will NEVER return to this location and recommend that everyone go to the one by LAX instead because they respect their customers. read more

I have been coming to the TJ Maxx in the Fallbrook mall shopping center in Woodland Hills CA ever since it opened. EVERY time I go I am rung up by a less than pleased cashier or completely ignored by the cashier while they talk to the person next to them. Ive always learned to accept the poor customer service there but yesterday i went and i am disgusted by the attitude and service. I had a basket full of items that I spent an hour selecting, and as you know there are not mass quantities of every item there like there would be at a target or walmart. I pulled my cart into the dressing room area and went to try on a dress. when i returned my cart was gone. I asked the dressing room attendant where my cart was and assumed she would know considering i placed it RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. She said " i dont know" and turned her back and went back to her business. I explained to her that I had a basket full of items and I need my items back. SHe could care less. Another employee over hears me and says that she is the ony who puts back carts and returns and she didnt see any cart there. I obviously did not go to TJ Maxx to make up a story about a cart full of items so Im not sure what her intentions were by telling me I never left a cart there! I told her they need to find my cart and my items and once again was ignored and walked away from. I walked around looking for my basket and finally went up to the front where them manager and 4 other employees were speaking to each other..i stood there for about 3 minutes waiting for somebody to acknowledge me but there were too deep in conversation to notice me standing right there staring at them waiting for assistance. I felt so stupid and felt as thought they made sure to let me know they could care less if i shop there or not and my problem is not their problem. I left in tears I have never felt so stupid and embaressed by store employees. I will absolutely never shop here before and I will share my story on EVERY review site possible. read more
