I submitted a quote request through Yelp for a dripping showerhead, knowing that the 20+ year-old fixture likely required a valve cartridge replacement. However, I decided to replace the entire showerhead fixture, including the single-handle valve behind the wall. With a description of the issue that I was having, I received multiple responses, however TJ Plumbing and remodeling was the only one that provided a reasonable quote for my request along with some different options and some relevant questions, whereas the others wanted one flat fee just to come out . I chose the smaller independent business, TJ Plumbing and Remodeling. Since my shower walls are tiled, Tuan carefully accessed the valve by cutting the sheetrock on the opposite side. He patched the sheetrock so well that all I needed to do was paint. I also asked him to replace the cartridges on a couple of leaky faucets and install quarter-turn valves under the sink. TJ Plumbing and Remodeling arrived on schedule and worked efficiently and professionally. Most importantly, they were honest and didn't try to upsell unnecessary work. He was not only smart and professional, but also courteous --kind, patient, and respectful toward my elderly father, which impressed me-- and pleasant. Also, when I found out that he is a general contractor, I asked him to take a look at a broken light switch in the study, and he willingly did so. He then proceeded to run several tests to identify exactly what was wrong and then finished up the job by replacing the light switch with a new one that he had on him. TJ was efficient, so all of this took less than an hour. Moreover, he was conscientious and actually charged us less than his original estimate for the plumbing work and only a little more for the additional electrical job. We were all so satisfied that we ended up giving him a huge tip and still felt that it was totally worth it!
