Excellent service. Not great food. The burgers are big but dont taste good. They put no herbs or spices in the beef. The fries were not fried, they were baked, and not good fries to begin with. There was a very strong taste of soap in my cola, which made it taste awful and of course ruined the flavor of the meal as well. Seats wobble so much I couldnt get comfortable. This place is exactly what you'd expect...a cute, roadside diner with great home cooking. The inside looks like something out of the Andy Griffith show. It's a small place but they seem to do a decent job with required distancing and all staff were wearing masks. The women's bathroom was out of service so everyone was using the same multi stall men's room - which was clean but it was a little uncomfortable for me. Thankfully, no men came in while I was in there but it certainly would have been awkward to walk out and see a man standing at the urinal. There was only one waitress serving the entire place so the service was a LITTLE BIT slow but she was really doing a great job keeping up with everyone's requests as well as the phone/carry out orders. We weren't in a rush so we weren't bothered with the speed of service at all. My husband had the breakfast special with biscuits and gravy. It was a large plate of food. I had a breakfast sandwich with sausage and it was really good. Everything was fresh and seemed homemade. We don't go out for breakfast often but we would definitely come back. read more

I came in this establishment excited to see what my buddy was talking about the food. Well service can make up for a multitude of things and I was not impressed with one of the young servers as it took a while for me to get the drink I ordered don't know if she forgot that I was here because it was really busy. I give people the benefit of the doubt and will give them another try. First time in here since the remodel and came here the other night during a weekday. It wasn't busy, the booth seats were a bit snug so we sat in the back where they have a pool table as well. I had the country fried steak with mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato, it was better than I expected but the gravy was a bit lack luster. Mom liked her bacon cheeseburger but was kinda surprised they never asked how she wanted her burger cooked. The water tasted funny to me, maybe it was the plastic cups leaving a weird taste. It was so quiet we decided to play our own music on my phone. I feel this may be a better breakfast or lunch type of place than dinner. I wandered into this place after driving by it for years. I was glad I did. The breakfast I got was delicious. My ham and cheese omelette was well prepared they gave me an adequate amount of hashbrowns. My side order of scrapple was cut a little too thin for me. The service was efficient and timely. We have come across this place while we were out looking for new vehicles. Once we stopped the place looked like a older type restaurant. Inside the restaurant there wasn't many seats there was also a bar. Very small inside. We got our order within around 30 minutes of arriving. I ordered a Country Fried Steak with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. The Mac and Cheese was very cheesy and hard to eat. The Mashed Potatoes were homemade and tasted great. The Country Fried Steak was amazing aswell. Besides the food part the restrooms were somewhat clean. It was on a kaiser roll, which is a bit unusual, but, it was fresh and soft. It could have used more steak, less lettuce. Fries were ok. My friend ordered a sausage and cheese omelet, with home fries. She said the sausage was more like ground beef. The home fries were unremarkable. The server was sweet, and timely. My husband and I happened across TJs Pit Stop in our travels today. Boy am I glad that we stopped in! The service was super prompt and very friendly. My husband ordered the Steak and Cheese and I ordered The Intimidator (a burger that I assumed is named after Dale Earnhardt). My husband was shocked when they brought him a sandwich made of actual slicedNY Strip Steak. We were expecting Steak Umms. My burger was huge! I ordered it well done. It was not dry at all! Super juicy and piping hot it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The bacon was also done to my liking. Usually I have to tear off the under cooked fatty bits but there was none of that. The fries reminded me of those at Boardwalk Fries. I am pretty sure they were cut in house. We have already made plans to go back. read more
