This place was fun but not the original brewery like we thought. Yummy porters and king crab if you are there for yummy crab. Atmosphere was chill and the staff was very informative and kind.

What is good here, Beer & BBQ with a side of King Crab After getting off the ship (Anthem) we had a duck fart, then shopped, and then we hunted down food. What do most Texans want BBQ and beer! Tracy's was packed and seemed overpriced, Red Dog packed no room in that inn for eaters, soo we go to what was suggested by our Royal Caribbean port shopping person Jeff -- Alaskan Brewing Company! They are tight when needing a seat but if your patient people tend to eat and go here. Staff super nice and offer great suggestions on beer & eats. My husband and I really wanted to have some King Crab we just got one pound of crab as we also wanted to tackle the Alaskan BBQ Sampler which is perfect to share with a side of Hop Salt Fries. We selected the whole sampler to try and I'm telling you "wow!", so good they do put a side of purple cabbage slaw on the plate which also was very good. My husband had water but me I grabbed me a flight of deliciousness I recommend the Alaskan Amber and the Ascender both very good. We had great weather and shared our meal with our fellow cruise mates that came with us to Alaska. There is a pub upfront, eatery is in back and a gift shop with tons of items to buy.

This place is a great stop for people getting off a cruise in Juneau. It is just steps from the pier and they have a huge outdoor seating area (the inside was packed). The crab was fresh (of course) and delicious. Their other food (brisket, mac and cheese, elk, etc.) is also good. They have a nice selection of housemade beers which are great for washing everything down.

We stopped at Alaskan Brewing Public House when we were docked in Juneau. There was no wait and it was self seating. We ordered 2 pounds of Alaskan King Crab, Mac and Cheese with Brisket, and a Brisket Sandwich. The king crab was delicious and the Mac and Cheese had a little kick to it due to the hatch chilis. The brisket sandwich had only a few pieces of brisket and was definitely on the smaller side. A 4% convenience fee was added to our bill. When we asked what that was for, our server didn't really know. Aside from that we felt it was a pretty good dining experience.

These have got to be the greatest beers I have ever had. Their entire fleet of beers is nearly note perfect. Really spacious place.

Directly off of the pier when you first arrive into port from a cruise and easy to get into. They have a bit more limited seating options, so you may need to stand until something opens up (depending on how busy it is). The aesthetic is a modern / classy bar feel. The service moved a bit slow, but it was very crowded, so not a big deal. We did a quick stop in after doing an excursion and got a drink on the way back to our shuttle bus to take us to our direct pier. Overall: B Decent brewing house for a quick drink.

When in Juneau, most people would go to Tracy's King Crab Shack for some Alaskan King crabs, but since our friends went to Alaskan Brewing Public House already, we decided to go there to meet up with friends and have some king crabs there as well. Since it was a brewery, we started our meal with a beer flight and all were very refreshing and tasty. There were plenty of things on the menu, but we were hungry for king crabs so that was what we got. They were so plump and juicy, totally different from anywhere else in the States. We also got the seafood chowder and it was ok. Overall experience was just ok. The food and drinks were great, but service was pretty meh. We didn't know we could just sit ourselves and waited around the door. We had to ask the bar to find out about the seating. After we sat down, no one attended us for a long while, to a point we went to the bar again and asking if we needed to order there. A server eventually came over but wasn't all that friendly. She was plenty friendly to other tables and even helped them to crack the crab legs. We made a comment and we believe she heard us because she came to our table to crack the crab legs right after that. Service aside, we would say this spot was a good alternative if Tracy's got packed for the king crabs. Not restaurant related, but our friends left before we even got there. We could have gone to Tracy's, lol.

Stopped in for some beer after a day of exploring Juneau. Luckily, this place was right next to our cruise ship port so we could pop in for some tasty brew and wings before boarding the ship again. Great service and very delicious IPA options. Tasty wings and a positive vibe here. Really stocked merch shop next door where we got some awesome ABPH t-shirts and hats. Bonus yay!

I have to eat gluten free so finding gluten free fried halibut was exciting. It didn't disappoint. Great taste and the dipping sauce was great too. Sat outside and people watched which was fun. Service was ok (only reason not 5 stars). I definitely recommend.

Fish & Chips, Soft Pretzels with Beer Cheese Dip, and Smokehouse Seafood Chowder

Fish & Chips were quite tasty albeit quite pricey at $38. The chowder and cheese were served lukewarm, and the pretzels were cold. Had I only had the fish & chips it'd be 5 stars but the rest of the meal was inedible.

Come for the view, stay for the beer, return for the service. Thank you for my waitress Cait for the outstanding recommendations! I started off with a flight of her recommendations and discover some all time favorite beers. The food was perfect to wash down the drinks all while the perfect view of the ocean!

Right off the piers of the cruise ships, Alaskan brewing has a big sign up that you can't miss. You'll find the place with the traditional brew house feel. Pricing here does suffer from the 'tourist tax' and you can feel it in the beers and food. From the pictures, you can see the menu of foods can easily clear ~$20 and beers ~$10. Service was hit or miss, its one of those 'seat yourself and hope a staffer will see you'. We got some waffle fries with some cheese dip and some chowder. We also paid $25 for a skillet of mac and cheese with some burnt ends. Baby loved it, except for the slow burn of the burnt ends. Luckily she's a trooper and mellowed the spice down with more mac and cheese. I only got one brew to finish off the food. Overall good place, but pricy thanks to the tourist tax. You may find a hard time getting a table as well.

Food was good. Service was nice. Good location. Good beer. We had fries and pretzels and a Mac n cheese. I'd say it's worth going to if that's what you're in the mood for that day.

Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is a 2.5% surcharge added to credit card sales. There is a $2.50 up-charge added for to-go items. Wine and beer are available for purchase with a 3% liquor tax. Every step of the process is self-serve; from ordering food, picking up food and bussing own table. The entire establishment is in refurbished functional sheds. Seating is outdoor picnic table, covered tent style. There are several photo stand-ins on the property creating fun photo opportunities. During our visit, I slurped on a pint of Alaskan Husky IPA for $8.50. We shared a small (qty 6) Mini Crab Cakes for $10.95. I ordered a pound of Alaskan Red King Crab for $85; served with garlic rolls and butter. This crab was a test in patience to say the least. Lots of cracking needed to be done and it wasn't easy. My daughter ordered a pound of the Dungeness Snow Crab for $35. We all had a great time sampling local Alaskan seafood at Tracy's. Definitely a highlight of our stop in Juneau.

The service is very poor because the place is packed all the time with tourist the ambience nothing to say about it. It's just pack of people and you would think if it's packed with people that it would be a good and reasonably priced. But it isn't it's extremely ridiculously overpriced.
