I wanted to see what all the hype for this Korean foodie place. Well from my first and last time to come here this is not for me. It's for the young people who love to instagram foodie because the unique egg sandwiches are unique with fluffy eggs that I haven't experienced yet in my lifetime. There were 2 cooks behind the glass making many sandwiches and you can see they cook this fresh. The atmosphere is yellow the color of happiness. I love the cute frying pan and egg. again great for photos! I love it! They offer 10 different Korean egg toasts with various fillings like wagyu beef, mushrooms, and chile-shrimp patty that can make both meat and vegetarians happy with what ever they order. They also have sweet options like croffles that are croissant waffles with strawberries, Oreo, banana and matcha flavors and savory sides like seasoned fries with crab. It took a while for them to make the sandwiches. There was counter seatings along the wall which quickly filled up. There were lots of takeout. Finally our food came and we picked it up. Everything is self service. The food packing is on cute side and I need to take photos! It was a nice oily and fluffy egg wagyu egg sandwich with nice flavor. Although Toast N Egg has been on the scene for a while, it was my first time trying it, and can say that I was a bit underwhelmed. Still cooked well and maybe their more traditional options tasted better, but I'm just not used to eggs tasting sugary. I think I wanted to like it more, especially with such a cute interior pulling inspiration from restaurants in Asia that have a huge display in the center right when you walk in. It's in a great location, high traffic for the sunset and right before GGP. Inside you just order on the kiosk, which would be straight forward if they had it working, so instead the employees watched each customer walk up to the kiosk then walk away without ordering. Love the concept here. It's unique and all the components of the toast are tasty. Bread is super soft and grilled to a nice crisp, egg is perfectly soft scrambled, lots of avocado, and cabbage gives a nice crunch and it seasoned well. The curry chicken was super crispy and had great flavor. They also have a really cute back patio that's perfect to sit and enjoy your food. We also tried their fries which are very crispy. The way the toast is constructed is not ideal though - it's a thick piece of bread split in half, but not all the way, so the bottom is just bread. I loved the big cracked egg statue in the middle of the store but the rest of the experience just wasn't great. Ordering is from a tablet on the wall and the ordering menu wasn't the most intuitive. Also there was only one tablet so I caused a bit of a backup behind me. And even though when I arrived, there were no other people in front of me, it took a bit longer than expected to get my food. While I waited I put my headphones in because the blaring EDM was a bit much for me. When I got my sandwich, I thought the cute cardboard packaging was a cool touch but was sad to realize there was no way to recycle this in the store so it seems wasteful. The sandwich was Ok and was quite messy and despite having the cardboard holder, you have to remove the cardboard to be able to hold the sandwich to eat it and this leaves nowhere to catch sauces from the sandwich. In all I won't come back here and don't suggest it. Don't fall for the pretty aesthetics! There's much better food to eat and more pleasant environments to visit! read more

I've tried Toast N Egg twice so far- once as takeout, another fresh at their outdoor patio. Their patio space is a ways from the front of the store, which I think is unfortunate as it's connected by a long hallway that cuts diagonally across the shop oddly, and hidden away. The sandos take some time to come out, especially if it's really busy, so it's not really a quick stop for lunch if you're on a time crunch. . Shrimp Sando: (4/5) I love the shrimp patty, and the eggs are so delicate and fluffy. I think it could be shaped better or have more egg though, as there's some bites of just bread, some of just bread and patty.... but the bite with all three is perfect. . Matcha Latte: (3/5) I'd rather places offer no matcha rather than bad matcha. It's more milk than matcha, but it's also pretty powdery as the matcha powder wasn't fully dissolved. Definitely recommend eating fresh rather than doing takeout, as the fillings make the bread soggier and the sauce drenches through the packaging. You can order ahead online to save time but when I went midafternoon on a Saturday there was no line to order at the kiosk. The food came out quickly and there was counter top seating available, but I really liked the little hidden patio they have out back. They did a good job creating the ambience for this place. Their menu consists of mainly egg sandwiches and croffles. I had the Sugoi Beef Toast ($10.99) and enjoyed it. The beef tasted like Korean bbq and the eggs were fluffy. The bread was good but soft even though it looked toasted. And like others have said, they need to work on more evenly distributing the ingredients in the sandwich. I also tried the Real Crab Fries ($9.49) which were extra crispy and covered in a sweet mayo sauce. Not bad but not a must. The Paradise ($6.99) is their specialty drink.
