Already digging into the ginseng soup
    Manifair H.

Giving them 5 stars for the haters that don't understand the restaurant business especially for small businesses. Also, because my mother loved it! Yes, it is one person doing everything, but he's super sweet and thorough. So, have patience coming here. Restaurants probably can't afford more labor when their own costs of food, labor, rent and insurance is so high. With that said, the food is expensive. However, the items we ordered were delicious, clean, fresh, and authentic. Ginseng chicken soup was made with love. Can't find this dish in most Korean spots! Longer wait time because it takes longer to make. Meat fell if the bone, stock was rich and not salty! You can salt it yourself! Mackerel was tasty and juicy. Probably, the best pan fried mackerel I've had. The mungbean pancake was good but not for the price. Side dishes were decent. Kimchee could be better. Location is in the heart of Japan town! That's rare. Mother approved and we will be coming back again!

Came here for dinner and had an amazing experience! Parking in the shopping center parking garage is very easy and an elevator goes directly up to the second floor around the corner from the restaurant. That could not possibly have been any easier. The guy who owns and operates the restaurant is incredibly friendly and was very helpful in picking dishes and brought out so much food that most of it ended up in take away boxes. Eating here was a really fun experience and I look forward to going back.

Lovely, very sweet staff, and the restaurant was very clean and has lots of booths. Walked right in on a holiday Monday. The prices were significantly higher than I saw here on Yelp, and I didn't feel very excited about their banchan or the mackerel which I usually love. The mackerel was tasty, but chewy. I'm not sure why it was so tough. The tokkboekki was very good though with a comfortable level of heat. I would recommend that.

    Dolsot Bibimbap, banchan

The dolsot bibimbap, banchan, soy & garlic wings, and Mandoo were all so delicious, refreshing, savory and filling! We had such a great experience here, the staff were all so kind, personable, and generous! It was very nice to have a very good, warm meal in such a peaceful and relaxing restaurant after a long day.

Great Korean food! Really enjoyed the fish and the pajeong. Got matcha ice cream for dessert. Really enjoyed the ambience of the Korean architecture of the restaurant.

Very good! Seoul Garden is located inside the Japantown Peace Plaza Mall on the West side, 2nd Floor. As we were having Japanese food for dinner, we all for something different and decided to try Seoul Garden for lunch. We were quite surprised to find that we were quite surprised to find that the restaurant was a bit empty at 12:30 PM. But, we were delighted to find out that they have a lunch special, which is a pretty good deal... We opted for their bibimbap at only $21 which includes a soda. but, we are also very greedy and also ordered their crispy fried chicken... knowing that we wouldn't be able to finish!! ... Which is so yummy and so crispy!!! XD Food is OK to good. Fries chicken is delicious! ;) Overall a pleasant dining experience with good food. Service was very friendly, on point and our waitress was very nice and efficient.

Such wonderful genuine hospitality. The ambiance is peaceful and comforting, the food is incredibly good, but the service is the best part. They made me feel right at home. Will be back!!

I love this place! I've been twice and both times the food was fantastic. The portions are large, and they bring lots of side dishes to go with. The inside has a cute little Korean town feel. The servers were always super attentive. I'm vegetarian, and they had plenty of options that could be made vegetarian and my meat eating fiancé loved his meals too!

Visited during the Cherry Blossom Festival, and everywhere was packed. We were seated quickly, but a line formed shortly after. Appears to be a family run restaurant. They were busy - running around taking orders, placing orders, filling water glasses. They apologized for the wait for our orders. We started off with the Mung Bean Jun. They arrived hot and crispy. I really enjoyed these. The banchan arrived shortly after with the Spicy Pork stir fry. So many different varieties of banchan. The spicy pork wasn't too spicy. Kiddo ordered Ramen, which he devoured. For the Dolsot Bibimbap, hubs loved the crispy rice. The stone pot stayed hot for a long time, which helped to create more crispy rice. Just wished there was more beef. The Soy Garlic fried chicken arrived last. It was crispy and flavorful. Just the perfect amount of sauce and the chicken pieces weren't drowning in sauce. Happened to be a warm day in the city, so the restaurant was also very warm. Food was kinda on the pricier side, but we enjoyed our meal overall.

Menu is relatively the same as Dumpling Home featuring my faves like the numb and spicy XLB and the sheng jian bao. Both very delicious! The remainder of the dishes we got were also good. I will say the green beans left me wanting a bit more from it. But overall, my party had a nice, fulfilling meal. Dumpling Home will always be my favorite (still prefer it a TINY bit), but because there is less of a crowd, service was amazing! Every thing was as good as the last. They have a pretty extensive menu I wanted to try it all. Sadly I had to settle for Hot and Sour Soup, Wonton soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, Chicken Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, (8Pcs) Pork Dumpling with Sesame Sauce and Red Chili Oil (6Pcs), Numb & spicy pork Bao, Green Onion Pancake, (Sweet) Red Bean Paste Pockets. We had it family style. The 3 of us shared it all. There was plenty to go around. None of us left hungry. I can't even pick a favorite. Maybe the numb and spicy which wasn't that spicy. It was just so good and flavorful. The soup dumplings were amazing. So much perfect flavor. They held together until the bite. So good. The hot and sour soup was plenty tasty. Not the best I've ever had but certainly among the best. The only thing I will say is that one of my companions can't have seaweed. The wonton soup was amazing but full of seaweed. It wasn't listed on the menu and we have never had seaweed in any other wonton soup so didn't know to ask if it could be left out. That was sad. All she could do was have a tiny spoon of the broth to taste it. The green onion pancake was very good. The red bean paste pockets use the same dough but filled with sweet red bean paste. They were a perfect way to end the meal. Next time I'm in the city I will visit again. Loved it all. It was worth taking the time to visit and eat there.

The restaurant can be a little hidden, but it's pretty easy to find with the instructions they send before your reservation. It's located above Fermentation Lab. Just head up the stairs and you'll find it inside the old Ichi Pub space. The restaurant is small and intimate, with only 9 seats at the counter. When you arrive, walk through the Yuji curtain and check in directly with the chef since there is no host. My biggest concern with set menus is always whether I'll feel satisfied and full afterward, but that was definitely not an issue here. My husband and I were both very satisfied after the meal. Every dish was delicious, and you could really taste the quality of each ingredient. Highlights for me were the bluefin sashimi, which was so buttery and soft that it literally melted in your mouth. The skillfish was rich and decadent, and the citrus and ginger balanced the flavors. The fried fish was another favorite as it reminded me of the savory Japanese rice crackers I loved growing up. Since it's located in Japantown, parking can be challenging. We had to loop around several times looking for street parking and even had two cars take spots we were waiting for, so definitely give yourself extra time before your reservation. I would highly recommend this place! The chef changes the menu periodically based on what's in season, so it's a great excuse to come back and try something new in the future. Daeho Kalbijim - 5*/5, this is the star of the show, order with or without the shredded mozzarella cheese on top that they flame with two hand torches. Unbelievably delicious, tender short rib accompanied by generous chunks of potato, turnip, carrot, onion, rice cake, and I always like to add one or two orders of glass noodles which really soak up the flavors at the bottom. We've had kalbijim at the supposedly best place in LA's Ktown and it paled in comparison to Daeho. For six people we ordered one with cheese and one without and had lots of leftovers. You also get bonchon (four different kinds) which they will refill. So what you get in addition (if anything) is a bit of a debate. After trying a few items in the past, I've decided starting with the mandoo tang is the best option - light, oxtail soup, with 5-6 mandoo gives you a nice start before you dig into all the meat in the kalbijim. I highly recommend Daeho's kalbijim! and you can walk around Jtown (the mall is across the street) before or after and do some fun shopping!

The aroma of sizzling skewers over charcoal grills and soothing fragrance of lemongrass, Thai basil, and kaffir lime leaves drifting through the warm evening air. The rhythmic clatter of woks, the organized chaos of street vendors creating unforgettable meals from kitchens no bigger than a parking space. Oh...how I've longed to go back. And then, while walking the streets of San Francisco...I stumbled upon Bangkok Street Thai Street Food. No passport. No jet lag....Just an empty stomach and a healthy appetite. Our meal began with the Chicken Satay, and what a way to start. The chicken was beautifully grilled, tender, and lightly charred around the edges. But the real star was the silky peanut sauce paired with the bright cucumber relish. Rich, nutty, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced with a refreshing crunch, it was the kind of appetizer that makes everyone at the table quietly reach for "just one more skewer." Next came the Green Curry. One thing I appreciate is that they let you choose your own level of heat. Whether you prefer a gentle warmth or a full Thai spice adventure, the kitchen happily accommodates. Beneath the spice was a wonderfully creamy coconut curry layered with fresh herbs and deep aromatic flavors that made every spoonful comforting yet vibrant. Then came the dish no Thai meal should ever be without...Pad Thai. Simple on paper, difficult to master and Bangkok Street gets it right. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly--not too soft, not too firm--and coated in a beautifully balanced tamarind sauce that delivered the ideal combination of sweetness, acidity, and savory depth. Every bite kept inviting the next, to the point where ordering a second plate actually seemed like a perfectly reasonable life decision. Somewhere between the satay, the curry, and the Pad Thai...something unexpected happened. We completely forgot to take pictures! Not one. No overhead food shots. No "wait, don't touch it yet" moments. No social media evidence that we were ever there. That's usually the highest compliment I can give a restaurant. When the food is so good that everyone forgets about their phones, you know the kitchen has everyone's full attention. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But the flavors at Bangkok Street Thai Street Food create a culinary memory that lasts far longer than anything saved to your camera roll. Overall: 4 stars. Fresh ingredients, beautifully balanced flavors, thoughtful spice levels, and comforting Thai classics prepared with care. From the outstanding Chicken Satay and fragrant Green Curry to a Pad Thai that showcases the magic of a well-crafted tamarind sauce, Bangkok Street Thai Street Food captures the spirit of Bangkok one delicious plate at a time. Come hungry...and Go Big!!!
