I have heard about this place and have seen the lines out the door waiting to be seated. I knew this place was a hot spot and I have always wanted to try it. We came on a Sunday when they were booked and busy. If you are willing to wait an hour or two to be seated then you should try it out, otherwise make a reservation in advance. Once we were seated we were told that we can scan the QR plated code that was on the table for the menu. They have a lot to choose from to order so you won't be disappointed. Our server's name was Jay and he was very polite and friendly. He even gave us a little history about the restaurant (hours they are open/closed, how long the restaurant has been in business etc). We really appreciated the conversation. I ordered their seafood gumbo for an appetizer and the Mississippi Catfish for my entree. My husband opted for the Country Fried Chicken Biscuit. The seafood gumbo was plentiful and my husband and I shared. The roux was amazing, and the gumbo portion was just right. I loved the sausage, crawfish, crab, rice and shrimp. My catfish fillets were fried perfectly and tasted very delicious although they were a little small. The mac n cheese was divine and the collard greens were succulent. I cleaned my plate and left no crumbs. My husband enjoyed his dish and cleaned his plate as well. I cannot rave enough about Toast on Lenox. I was visiting the area and looking for a good breakfast spot when this place came up with great reviews, and now I completely understand why. I didn't really plan ahead and was hoping to get seated quickly, but when we arrived around 10:30 to 10:45 there was already about a 20 minute wait. Honestly, I figured it had to be worth it, and with a lot of other places not even opening until 11, it made more sense to stay. One thing I really appreciated was that they take your phone number so you can wait in your car since there isn't a ton of room inside. They quoted us about 20 minutes and texted us after around 22, so the wait time was super accurate. Our server was incredibly sweet even though the restaurant was busy, which definitely stood out. The inside is quaint and cozy. It's not huge, but it absolutely has the kind of atmosphere you want for brunch. I will also say the bar seating is kind of like Russian roulette because seats kept randomly opening while we were there, so if you're lucky you might get in quicker that way. Now to the food because THAT is the reason to come here. I got the fried snapper and it did not disappoint at all. The greens were amazing, the rice that came with it was flavorful, and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. I also got a gin drink that was so good. We tried the banana foster French toast too, and that was absolutely worth it. Talk about amazing breakfast! I came just for the salmon cakes and I'm glad I made the trip. The salmon cakes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Every time I visit Atlanta, I hear people talk about this place, so on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. I decided to pull up to Toast on Lenox in Buckhead to finally see what the hype was about. I grabbed the only open seat at the bar and tried to order a drink, but they do not serve alcohol until 11:00 a.m. That alone tells you the food must be good because the place was full before anyone could even order a cocktail. This location had the Biscoff French toast, and I am a huge Biscoff lover, so I had to try it since it was their featured French toast. It did not disappoint at all. It was delicious. After 11:00am. I ordered a cold brew cocktail with Kahlúa Baileys and Jameson. It was also really good. The entire space is aesthetically pleasing and perfect for taking photos. I would like to state that I have been to both locations, but I want to focus mainly on the food itself across multiple visits. But the vibe is pretty consistent. I'm unsure if these dishes are made in advance and then reheated, but that was my experience. The center was cold, and at first, I thought I was imagining it, but upon a second opinion, the middle was basically an iceberg! Despite the uneven temperature, it was still very flavorful. If they could fix the heat distribution, I'd recommend giving it a try. The Kale Caesar Salad is absolutely delicious, and the salmon is juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I appreciate that the kale and croutons are finely chopped, and the Caesar dressing is creamy with just the right amount of tang. And on a separate occasion, I ordered the Fried Catfish and grits, 10/10 recommend. The grits are creamy, taste like a Sunday morning post-Sunday service; the fish is seasoned to perfection and has a perfectly crispy crust. The Salmon cakes remind me of my childhood. The Salmon cakes are served with a garlicy aioli, fluffy eggs, and creamy, cheesy grits with a crisp arugula salad on the side. This dish also comes highly recommended. I also want to speak about the French toast. The French toast is delicious; I had it served with powdered sugar and berries. Now this isn't on the menu, but you can get it altered. The drinks are FIRE! I've had a little of everything and haven't been let down yet! When it comes to service, I have mixed reviews, but overall, it's generally good. I have one occasion where the server wasn't as attentive. I was seated at the bar, and her main focus was on her phone. I tend not take things personally and will chalk it up to her having some personal issues. We had a reservation for 3 PM. However, we arrived approximately 10 minutes late due to traffic, and the staff still accommodated us. I must admit that I attempted to contact them six times, but none of the calls were answered. Upon our arrival, we were not greeted with the expected courtesy. To illustrate the situation, I will include a photograph of the two ladies who exhibited a somewhat unfriendly demeanor when I inquired about the functionality of the phone. Despite my repeated calls, she responded with a dismissive remark, stating that I could clearly see the phone in my hand. Consequently, we were invited to sit down. The meal took approximately an hour to complete. The food was of average quality, lacking the distinctive flavors that one might expect from a restaurant. My friend particularly enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, while my other friend expressed a favorable opinion of the eggs. This brunch spot is BUSY be patient! If you didn't plan ahead and did not make a reservation I have to say it is worth waiting for a table. We did a quick search this morning for a spot to get some grub and waited a little under an hour ... no regrets. Food is delicious the staff is super friendly! We started off with the Lennox Breakfast. Fluffy buttery cheesy eggs with delicious savory cheesy grits accompanied with applewood bacon (you get options it's what my husband chose) and the biscuit perfectly baked with a nice buttery crust and a fluffy inside. Ricotta Pancakes with honey butter and berries... babes so simple yet so delicious! You just gotta try them! The roasted potatoes were so flavorful! Seasoning and veggies were nicely tossed with the potatoes can't go wrong with the potatoes! We closed off with the Gumbo we couldn't leave without trying it we ordered the CUP yall it's a small bowl! Delicious smokey flavor well balanced seafood flavor! It has little shrimp, sausage, crab legs ... man it was tasty! Smooth yet bold and savory! Now the food was delicious and we highly recommend it but it wasn't JUST the food it was the vibe and the welcoming energy from the staff that we would come back again!
