Always looking for good Sunday brunch spots, and the jury is still out on this one! Place was pretty busy Sunday morning, but the staffing shortages really affected service. We waited several minutes to be greeted, and several more to be sat. The place had an overall charm with bar top seating to accommodate single diners. Once seated, our server quickly arrived and was quite pleasant. There was a particularly gruff waitress who was very vocal in complaining about things audibly for patrons to hear - unprofessional! I will say that their coffee is delicious, but $3 for a small refillable mug that only saw one half refill is a bit ridiculous. We ordered pancakes, and a was disappointed immediately with the rubbery texture (my butter knife was struggling to slice one pancake alone, let alone the stack). Oddly my husband's granola pancakes didn't seem to be quite as tough. I guess I need to try this place again because it has to be good for it to be so busy... read more

Close to home but my first time going glad I stopped in they were pretty busy around the 10am hour ,, beef sausage yay!! Most places only have pork , corned beef hash was a nice healthy portion we had to take it home my server was great only one complaint my eggs my eggs the dern eggs ordered over medium for both dishes and only my order came over easy sent back only for one egg to be corrected and the other over well ,,, I will return and just order scrambled,, cute clean spot and it doesn't hurt to be a few min from the house read more

I recently moved to the southern end of Coconut Creek and found Toasted Cafe while driving through the parking lot last week. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Christina (whom I later going out was the owner) and my server Cathy. Cathy gave me a choice of tables and brought the menu for me. She asked me if if like coffee. I'm glad I said yes! I drink it black. It was so good, I had 3 cups! I decided on 2 blueberry pancakes with turkey sausage, with a large glass of orange juice. The pancakes were light and delicious, and filling. I wouldn't have been able to finish 3. My only negative would be for the fifty cents per pancake add on for blueberries that there should have been more in them. The turkey sausage was perfectly prepared, thick and juicy, spiced just right. Everyone there is friendly and it looked like they have a lot of regulars. I may well become one of them! Always love checking out these smaller ma-n-pa restaurants and diners when I travel. And knowing that my wife and I would arrive in FLL @ 0545 on the redeye from SLC - and that we'd be starving - I made the effort to search out a cool little restaurant for breakfast. I found the Toasted Cafe there in Margate and we're both glad we did! I think we arrived there around 7:30 AM and the place already had some early risers chatting and eating. My wife and I were promptly seated and waited on by Joanne...who turned out to be a real hoot and a great waitress. I had a wonderful Eggs Benedict, and my wife had her usual French toast...and I thoroughly enjoyed the S&R brand coffee that Joanne served. Excellent portion size too. Joanne took care of us really well, answered all of our questions, and we enjoyed talking with her about the food, the restaurant, and the reason for our brief trip to Coral Springs. We jokingly said that we had "come all the way from Salt Lake City just to eat here at the Toasted Cafe"...but it kinda' was true in a way. But nevertheless, we had a wonderful eye-opening breakfast and we left satisfied. Again, a wonderful little restaurant that we were so happy to patronize on our trip to Florida last month. Located on the south side of Atlantic blvd just about two blocks east of 441. I Came here on a Sunday around 12:30pm with 7 of my family members. My cousin called on the way there (about 10 mins out) to let them know we were coming and they had a table waiting for us. The establishment has a homey feel and probably about 20 tables. I had my go to black coffee as did a couple of my family members. Hot, fresh, and strong. A cup of straight black coffee can tell you a lot about a breakfast joint. All seven of us ordered something different which means my fork makes it way around the table. The best plate was the Philly cheesesteak omelet.. it legit had the taste of a scrumptious philly! I ordered the #7 country breakfast.. biscuits, sausage smothered in gravy and topped with two eggs. It was just okay.. the gravy left a lot to be desired. The biscuit was good and you can't go wrong with eggs.. it's hard to mess those up. Overall it wasn't wow breakfast but it wasn't terrible. This place should be named DELICIOUS! I've lived in Ft. Lauderdale area for many years, driven many roads and am always on Atlantic and never seen this place. It's been here for five years! How I missed it I'll never know, now that I've found it.. this shall ne my go to breakfast spot. Yes, it's that amazing! A very friendly Greek family owns this. Mother, daughter and father work seven days a week 7-2 p.m. The breakfast here was beyond enjoyable. I ordered the house omelet that has three eggs, mushrooms, onion, green peppers and sausage. So fresh as if I picked the vegetables in the morning and did it myself. Home fries cooked to perfection. My partner had the granola French toast with two eggs and raved that it was the best French toast ever. Trust me we've tried many and for that compliment from him is huge! Located across from the Walmart Plaza on Atlantic Blvd you can find this clean and friendly restaurant. It looks to be great for groups if ever you wanted to gather with friends or family to dine for breakfast or lunch. Pricing is more than fair and portions a huge. Sparkling clean and fast service. Toasted Cafe is a wonderful breakfast place my relatives and I went to this morning. I'm visiting my relatives in Florida for Passover this weekend, and my Aunt suggested this place for breakfast. She was right about the food and the service. I ordered the #7 combo, which was two pancakes, eggs, and two strips of bacon. It was excellent! The coffee was fresh and good, and in some places, it is difficult to get a good cup of coffee. My cousin loved the eggs Benedict and the French toast looked amazing!! Our server took very good care of us and gave us top quality customer service. I hope the next time I come to visit my relatives in Florida, we will come back to Toasted Cafe for breakfast because it is fantastic and reasonably priced!! Tried this quaint little diner for breakfast. When I entered, I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman who led me to a table. She quickly brought coffee and took my order. The food came out quickly!! I ordered 2 eggs over medium, potatoes, and rye with light butter. The butter was a lot too much!! I had to scrape it off. The food was good. They get a lot of locals and do a good bit of take out business. Based on John Z's review of their gyros, I just had to order this. They were on their lunch specials menu that day and came with soup or salad and fries. The waitress was either in training or a little ditzy. She forgot our drinks and we had to ask for them after our meal was served. Seemed to have a bit of trouble remembering everything else,too, but she was friendly and pleasant..let's say she was "trying". My husband ordered the lunch special roast beef which came with soup of the day -- which was cream of spinach. He liked it. Not appealing to me, I was hoping for another soup (especially on a rainy/cooler day) but was told that was my only choice unless I wanted a salad. So I got the salad -- which was a nice bowl of iceberg, with some tomatoes, cucumber slices and green peppers. I Iiked their Greek vinaigrette dressing which came on the side. My gyro sandwich was a tad messy, the pita too soggy from sauce, and had a few too many onions in it for me so I wound up eating the meat from inside the sandwich. The gyro meat itself, cooked well done, was quite good. And the fries alongside it were well done and crispy. Prices were reasonable. On a miserable workday Monday, I was craving a sandwich. This cafe is the prefect place to grab a quick bite to eat. Toasted Cafe is known for their breakfast and lunch. It's a small restaurant with a few tables. It seems like it has become one of the locals' favorite place to dine in Margate. This review is for a pick up order. It's painless to place a order on the phone, and they had my order ready within 10 minutes. The staff was prompt and cordial. The packing deserves 10 stars. I never really say it to employees, because I know restaurant kitchens are busy, but I can't stand when the packing of the food is bad. I loved how toasted cafe packed the condiments, napkin etc separately in a different paper bag, the food itself was packed with careful placement etc. My sandwich was warm and prefect even by the time I went back to my job. The tuna melt on rye bread was delicious and quite big in size. The French fries were really good but for my taste, I felt the salt was much. Next time I would ask for no salt on the fries. My sandwich came with a condiment of coleslaw as well. Overall, great experience and I would like to try their breakfast next. I love taking my daughter to breakfast when she is home from college. It is a great chance to catch up with each other on our week and relax over a good meal. This Sunday found us at the Toasted Cafe. I must have passed this place a million times without even noticing it. The great Yelp reviews are what convinced me to finally pay a visit. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly and offered a table or the bar counter and we chose the back table. We requested coffee and it was in our hands in moments and it never went below half a cup without someone coming by the offer a refill. Although the restaurant is small it was nicely decorated. My daughter and I both had our usual orders of French Toast and bacon for me and eggs, pancakes, and bacon for her. Our food was brought promptly and everything was delicious. My daughter's pancakes were the size of her head. We had a wonderful leisurely breakfast and the bill was only $20 for the both of us and we had a huge amount of food. I wanted to have a hearty breakfast this morning but I also wanted to try somewhere new. Toasted Cafe is conveniently located on Atlantic Blvd, right across the street from the Walmart Super center plaza, which was very nice since I needed to stop by to get a few things. The place is on the smaller side, but there are quite a few tables. I was seated right away and brought coffee. They have a number of breakfast combos that are served until 11 am, but I opted to get an feta, tomato and onions omelette. It came with toast and home fries. I won't lie, the dish did not look pretty, but the flavors were good. The coffee however, I did not like. It had a burnt flavor that was hard to get past. I would definitely be back though, not a deterrent at all. Service was OK, courteous but nothing special. I love finding a locally owned, small restaurant that I know I can count on for solidly good food. This isn't far from our house and fits the bill. The tables are clean, there were plenty of servers to handle the busy restaurant as almost all of the tables were full by the time we were ready to go. We were greeted quickly with a friendly smile and seated and almost instantly asked what we would like to drink. We both ordered coffee and it came to the table in a blink. The breakfast menu has lots to offer, most of which is normal diner breakfast fare. I went with the corned beef hash, hash browns, 2 over easy eggs, and wheat toast (#12 on the menu). Our order came up pretty quickly. The hash browns were not salted, something I really appreciate as I prefer to salt them or not myself based on how salty the accompanying food is. The hash browns had a really nice brown crunchy side but underneath they were almost mushy. Not sure what's going on there but the crunchy bits were great. My eggs were done perfectly over easy. The corned beef hash was good but both Chris and I felt like it was almost identical to canned corned beef hash which if you like the canned version, you'll love it here. People were great about coming around to ask us if we would like coffee refills, keeping our cups topped off, fresh and hot. It's solid food. It's not fancy.
