This is very nice place and a very nice location with nice view. The service is always pretty attentive, although they could refill my coffee a little faster. :) (my wife and daughter would tell me that I just drink too much coffee.) The food is always prepared very well and the dishes are whatever called next level brunch fair. It's not your typical second eggs place. An example would be there Parmesan balls, which are really tasty. Everything is always very attractive looking and taste great. I wasn't particularly fond of the chicken and waffles. The waffle batter is not the usual waffle batter. )Again they're trying to take it up a notch but honestly, I would've preferred just regular waffle batter.) The chicken on top looked crispy but it actually wasn't. The batter was kind of thin. The spicy syrup was quite good. Make sure to ask for extra because I don't think what they give you is enough.

The location in Oceanside is absolutely stunning--perched right overlooking the ocean with a lively vibe and plenty of foot traffic. The views are fantastic, especially for brunch, and it's clear why this spot has a strong reputation as a go-to destination. The menu is creative and fun, particularly the extensive mimosa selection with all kinds of flavors and styles. Those mimosas seemed to be the real crowd favorite! I tried the Elvis French Toast (hilarious and fitting name), loaded with banana and peanut butter in true Elvis style. It was enjoyable, though not life-changing. The Skinny Jane came with slightly undercooked eggs, but the sourdough toast was solid. The Eggs Benedict was genuinely good, and the chicken sandwich was hearty and filling--though a bit run-of-the-mill for the price point. While the food was decent overall, it didn't quite live up to the hype for what you're paying. That said, our waitress Mia?or Maya? was excellent--super friendly, playful, and attentive--which made the whole experience much better. She really elevated a middle-of-the-road meal. I'd happily return, especially to work my way through more of that impressive mimosa menu and soak in the ocean views again.

All outdoor seats were taken. However, the bar was empty. So, I sat there. There weren't too many people in the main dining area either. It was around 11am. I assume the morning rush had came and went. The menu had a lot of everything, but I keep it simple when it comes to breakfast. Therefore, I got the Plain Jane with a Peach Bellini. My eggs did not come out hot. I think my plate sat back there for some time before being brought out. The bar tender was very pleasant. I'd go back.

I met up with a friend here and it was a nice spot. It's very modern and has a decent amount of seating. The food was good and bit better than I expected. I ordered the chilaquiles and I really enjoyed the flavor. I would definitely go back. I dislike that they don't allow reservations since it makes meet ups a bit difficult.

Great food, but be prepared to wait it's one of those spots where patience really matters. It was pretty busy when we went, with about a 30-minute wait to be seated. We ordered right away as soon as we sat down, but it still took over an hour for the food to come out just something to keep in mind. It did seem like a rush, though. Melanie was our server and was kind and attentive despite how busy it was. I had the steak and eggs, which were really good, the steak came with a sauce that caught me off guard but worked well, and the cheesy potato balls were a fun and flavorful surprise. My friend ordered the chilaquiles, a popular item, but found them underwhelming, too spicy and lacking flavor, even though she enjoys spice. Overall, I'd come back again, just knowing ahead of time that the wait can be long.

What a fantastic brunch spot! The shrimp and grits were absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and easily one of the best I've had. I also tried a mimosa flight, and it was the perfect complement to brunch. I had The lavender, hibiscus, mango, and pineapple mimosas were my favorites and definitely worth ordering! The atmosphere was fun, the service was friendly, and everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious brunch experience!

Ordered a variety if things based on yelp and and tiktok review. My daughter's Pancake was burnt, bacon was burnt and hard food was cold although the restaurant was not packed. I had french toast bacon and eggs. Bacon was hard and burnt. Food was warm. Wife had shrimp and grits. Tasted like watery yellow baby food. Strange didnt eat it.

My friend jumped on the train in Anaheim and I jumped on in Laguna Niguel. It's such a nice ride to Oceanside. Not dealing with traffic from Orange County to Oceanside is so great plus it's only $10 round trip. Ok anyway, we got off the train and it's a few minute walk to Toasted. We joined the waitlist from Yelp once the train was pulling in and when we arrived, we were 2nd in line. We got seated on the patio almost immediately. First time here for us. Our friend that lives in Oceanside met us here. Our server was Melanie and she was awesome. She was super patient with us. Very friendly. Loved her! We had mimosas, Bellinis and margaritas. I ordered the Santa Fe scramble. It was delish! All of us loved our food. The manager came by and he was great too! We will be back for sure! :)

Best brunch ever! My wife got the ABC hash and I got the Brioche Breakfast Sandwich, along with a side of pick 3 pancake combo. Everything was delicious... top notch. And the location and ambiance was to die for. Will definitely return when passing through Oceanside.

Food was delicious. The fries were so good. The Bloody Mary was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Parking was a bit of a hassle. Machine didn't work. You had to download the app because you couldn't text as well. Ample parking. Restrooms and restaurant was clean. Servers were nice. Place gets super packed. Crispy chicken sandwich was more crispy than meaty which made it kind of dry. It has potential. Where there WAS meat and sauce, it was good. The hubby liked the burrito. Wish they had hot sauce. They had a vinegary sauce that they called hot sauce. Went there this past Sunday morning.

INCREDIBLE!! The food and service went far beyond my expectations! As soon as my party of 6 came in, we were told the wait would be about 25 minutes and we'd get a text message as soon as our table was ready. We decided to take a few minutes to browse the menu as the hostess took a call. As soon as she hung up, she looked at us and said she had an immediate table for us as a party of 7 just canceled. Lucky us! Justice was our server and was super friendly, took our drink order and gave us some time to look over the menu. We ordered the Lobster Benny, 2 Fried Chicken Bennys, Steak and eggs, The Burger, Avocado toast with an over easy egg, coffee and fresh apple juice. Ohhh emmm geee...ALMOST EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! The Lobster Benny was perfect and delicious! The Fried Chicken Bennys were juicy, crispy and seasoned wonderfully! My daughter said the Avocado Toast was the best she's ever had! The Burger was made of juicy Wagu beef, was huge and stacked high with bacon and tons of incredible toppings, that my son had a hard time fitting it into his mouth. That was his only gripe. The fries came out a little later but were piping hot, fresh and seasoned incredibly well. And the little balls of potatoes served with most of the dishes, sprinkled with a generous amount of parmesan cheese, were so bomb. We've never had anything like them! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside; enlarged whopper sized balls of heaven! The steak and eggs were good, but the sauce was not as savory of a gravy and the steak was not as tender as I had expected/wished, so it was my least favorite of all the dishes. Still good though! The apple juice was delicious too! Oh, and Justice saw our Wyndham Resort wristband and let us know we get a 10% discount. What a lovely surprise! HANDS DOWN THE BEST RESTAURANT of our Oceanside trip! EXCEPTIONAL FOOD AND SERVICE!!! Highly recommended!

Came here for brunch and had a fantastic time. We started with the mimosa flight, which let me try the pineapple, mango, classic and hibiscus flavors. The mango was easily my favorite, annd I really appreciate that they gave a very heavy pour on the champagne. For food, we ordered the breakfast sammy and the Res eggs. The red eggs were packed with flavor and loaded with fresh vegetables. Every thing felt high quality and well prepared. But make a reservation or come early, this place gets packed.

I stopped by Toasted while I was in Oceanside for work and it ended up being the perfect breakfast/brunch spot. The space has a really nice open feel and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. The menu has a great variety of options, including some choices if you're vegetarian. I just wish they had oatmeal lol. They were also very accommodating with modifications, which made ordering easy. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying exactly what you want from a good brunch spot. It's the kind of place that feels casual but still well done. If I'm back in Oceanside again for work, I'd definitely stop by Toasted again. A solid and reliable brunch choice in the area.

Number one brunch spot in the nation? That doesn't speak well for the quality of brunch spots. It was noisy, and in spite of two attempts did not get my eggs right. I don't request anything particularly unusual --just cooked white and runny yolk. The brisket hash was mostly potatoes. At $23, those are some expensive potatoes. Our server Justice was better than average for sure. I'm not likely to return since I'm looking for a smaller, closer to the coast breakfast spot. read more

Had a reservation and got seated right away - that was great. Not having any silverware or water or our order taken for 30 minutes was frustrating, especially since we saw the table right next to us get seated and taken care of within 5 minutes of being seated, when we had by then had already waited 25 minutes. Unlucky perhaps, but for mediocre food and having to deal with lots of flies inside - will not be returning. read more

Overall felt the experience/food/service was average. Had to ask multiple times to get refills on waters/mimosas. The food wasn't bad but for the money felt like it could have been better. I did love the side potato's. Outside seating was lacking- only had 2 umbrellas and like 7 tables. Also expect to be beating off June bugs. read more

Ordered the $20 eggs in purgatory which was essentially a hollowed bread bowl filled with marinara sauce topped with an egg. Definitely not worth the money. Staff and outdoor seating were nice, but it is way overpriced. read more

Worth the wait! We sat outside under an umbrella. It was perfection! Our server was so great and gave us great recommendations! I wish I had gotten his name! We will be back! There is a wait but stay it is delicious! Very few street parking spots but a lot next door. Inside is a bit loud with echos but it's a fun environment. Nice open concept and airy. Wet breakfast burrito was decent. Bacon was a bit chewy, but plentiful. Had too many black beans. Their green sauce was the highlight for me. Was tasty and had a good amount of spicy kick. Wouldn't get the burrito again, but open to trying something else another time due to the good salsa. Would go great on something else. Good salsa isn't so easy to come across, I'll come back to try it on something else sometime! read more

This is more of a 3.5 star review. But not quite enough for a 4. I really wanted to like the place especially because of the reviews. I'm pretty sure I've dined at a sister location in Arizona. Ordered eggs Benedict and a steak sandwich also a mimosa flight. The eggs Benedict was underwhelming and cold. The steak sandwich was pretty good but again just barely warm. The tater tots were fun it was fried mashed potatoes. The mimosas were great so probably a good brunch and drink spot. The only one that I didn't quite like was the mango. It was kind of tasteless compared to the lavender, pineapple and hibiscus (probably my favorite). The waitress was absolutely lovely and sweet and even put a flower on my drink (5 stars for her!) the place was large with a lot of seating options. It was a Monday morning but there were still quite a few people enjoying brunch. Would possibly try something different when im in the area again. read more

REALLY, REALLY, appreciate having a place serve brunch using actual real produce. Unfortunately potatoes in my breakfast burrito tasted moldy and the side of strawberries were mushy and had one that was rotten. However, the turkey wrap and quesadilla we ordered were good. Hope they can improve the quality control on the food and try a bit harder to keep the booths clean. Bugs were NOT an issue. read more

I can't say enough great things about Toasted Gastrobrunch! The food is consistently amazing--you truly can't go wrong with any choice on the menu. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is impeccably clean. This visit, we had the pleasure of sitting in Olivia's section, and she quickly became our favorite server yet! My friend and I stopped here for brunch when we were in the area on Friday morning. The place is very cute and trendy. There weren't that many people and we got a nice corner table inside with the view. Quite a lot of people came after we sat down. The service was great and our server was attentive. Food was good and decent for brunch! They offer plenty of yummy looking drinks for brunch but we did not want to drink since we had a long drive back. My friend got the lobster toast and it was fully loaded. I wanted to go for something a bit healthier and went with the Denver-ish omelette without cheese.. though I think both dishes would be the same calories lol. Overall decent brunch spot! read more

What a great spot in Oceanside! It's been awhile since I was in this area and was amazed at how much it has changed. Especially all the new eateries that have popped up. With the help of Yelp, my friend and I decided on Toasted for brunch. It was mid-week and not crowded at all. The manager Cody ended up taking our table and offering some great recommendations and great service. I would recommend not missing out on the lobster toast. This was so good and had a pretty generous portion of lobster. We also tried the Santa Fe scramble which was the perfect amount of spicy and had some fried tortilla chips that added crunchy texture. And the little potato balls were addictive. I love the presentation of the food. Toasted was a very good choice for brunch by the pier. read more

Great ambience a little bit slow on the service and the food was delicious but nothing spectacular. You're paying for the location and the nice atmosphere. Did the $25 mimosas (they don't leave the bottle) A tad slow on their end but the waiter was super kind and genuine about it and let us keep going past the hour. My husband and I decided to try this place for breakfast because we love trying new spots. Our server was kind and attentive, and I truly don't place any blame on him. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered the French toast combo, and the French toast was very undercooked, the bacon was chewy, and the scrambled eggs were bland. I still ate what I could because I'm not someone who likes to complain or leave negative reviews. My husband simply mentioned to the server that the French toast was undercooked since I barely ate. What really upset me was what happened after. After we paid and tipped our server well, I went to the restroom. As I was coming out, I overheard the server and kitchen staff talking about our comment. The cooks made rude remarks about me, including saying I must have "never had French toast before" or something along those lines. That was incredibly unprofessional and hurtful. I work in customer service myself, and I would never treat a guest that way especially one who was polite and didn't make a scene. The food issues were disappointing, but the comments I overheard are the reason we won't be returning read more

The food is ok I ordered brisket hash it comes with potatoes bell pepper onions and brisket I got about maybe six pieces of brisket and the rest potatoes and veggies. The service is ok the waitress is in the rush to get me out of here I am still eating and drinking my beer she keep asking me if I'm done but obviously I am not since I'm still drinking and chewing my food. The ambiance is ok lots of flies flying around you and your food so you don't really get to enjoy the food since I'm constantly fanning the flies to go away. The location is nice since it's close to the water but the flies tho that's what gives for me and I wish the waitress not rushing me to finish my food. read more

Our family ate here for Mother's Day around 10am. Food was great even though we waited a long time for our food to the point we had to ask couple times what was taking so long. We sat in the patio and were really confused why was only two umbrellas available. We had to ask a few times if we could have an umbrella was a hot mid morning. I had really high hopes for Toasted Gastrobrunch in Oceanside, but overall the experience was disappointing. The service was honestly terrible. After we ordered our drinks, our waiter forgot about our table for about 30 minutes. The place wasn't even that packed, so it was frustrating to be left sitting there without any check-ins. When the food finally came out, two of our meals arrived together, but our other friend's plate didn't come out until about 15 minutes later. We were told it was delayed because it caught on fire in the kitchen -- and he ordered the Santa Fe scramble. Not exactly something you'd expect to be set back that long. After eating, I'll say the food was decent -- not bad, but definitely not worth the price. For what they charge, I expected better service and a higher overall quality experience. Unfortunately, the service alone would make me hesitant to come back read more

I really wanted to love our experience at Toasted, but unfortunately it fell short. We were quoted a 20-minute wait by the host and ended up waiting about 30 minutes, which wasn't a huge issue on its own -- but it set the tone for the rest of the visit. Once seated, service from our server, Justice, was extremely slow. We had to flag her down just to take our order because she hadn't come back for quite some time. Throughout the meal, she disappeared for 15-25 minutes at a time on more than one occasion. We also had to ask where our food was because there had been such a long wait with no updates. There was never an apology for the delays. In total, our visit lasted about 2 hours, and there really wasn't a reason for it to take that long. I ordered my burger medium rare and it came out well done. Under normal circumstances I would've sent it back, but we had a flight to catch. Even though we gave ourselves plenty of time, the slow service left no room to ask for corrections. We were also a group of bridesmaids celebrating, and it would have been nice to receive at least a small acknowledgment or congratulations. It felt like a missed opportunity to make the experience feel more thoughtful and attentive. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and urgency really impacted what should have been a fun outing before our flight. The food here is amazing! I get the regular Bennie and I love the toasted potato balls they serve on the side - so light and crunchy and delicious. They have great drink specials and the service is top notch. The indoor seating is surrounded by full-length windows so it's just as nice as sitting outside. We come here everytime we're in Oceanside. read more

Top notch brunch + lunch spot in Oceanside right by the water! This was our first time coming in and we had such a positive experience. The restaurant is SO cute inside, has the best decor, an adorable bar, and feels very bright with lots of light. Even the bathroom was decorated so cute and felt extremely clean/nice. The service was great, we were seated quickly and met with a server to take our order all within a minute. Our server was friendly but not over the top, and ensured our water was refilled when needed. They have an extensive menu of breakfast/brunch items + sandwiches, and a plethora of drink options including bloody mary's and bottomless mimosas. Had an awesome brunch yesterday before hitting Legoland. The food and the service were phenomenal. I love the vibes and the cozy ambiance of the entire store and the restroom is super cool. Paid Parking garage right behind the restaurant. The food was great (generous serving sizes) there is a grand selection of items to choose from. Our server Jack was great! So much better this go around!!!! Another get away and decided to check this place out again, because we all know that some days can be just an off day for restaurants. Once again, no issue with getting seated right away, even with the place being busy ( Sunday brunch time). We had the pleasure of Alex being our waiter and he did not disappoint, a nice and friendly person that took care of us right away. This time, we decided to do the bottomless mimosas and never once did we have to ask for a refill, it was like as soon as our glass were almost empty, he was there to fill it back up. At the end of our meal, we told him about our first experience and told him that he really made a difference for us about this place, he was so thrilled to hear that and had the biggest smile We did the avocado toast again and it was SOOOO good, I almost wanted to order another one since I did share it with my sister, I also ordered the BLT and switched it to sourdough bread and that was delicious as well. The plan was to drive straight to SD to have brunch in pacific beach, unfortunately traffic decided to pile up making it dreadful so we decided to stop and found this place on Yelp. I was able to check in online so as soon as I arrived my table was ready. The service and the vibe inside is welcoming, right by the beach on a nice clear day. Don't judge just because it's a little peachy'ish and looks thousand island'ish. lt's still some very good ranch. My son said he really tasted the bitterness of beer in the fish batter but maybe it was just in that piece he had; I could not taste it in the piece of fish I ate. The short rib was really tender and delicious... the sauce was just a tad salty for my taste, but the mashed potatoes it sat on sort of balanced it out a little. The fried chicken thighs were really cooked well, juicy, crispy and seasoned perfectly. We ordered two Teres Major steaks. One rare with mashed potaoes, one medium rare with grits. The rare one came out medium and without any mushrooms, took FOREVEEERR to remake (the rest of the table was almost done with our meals...& not sure why it took so long since the restaurant wasn't that busy and it's a RARE steak). The one with grits came with mashed potatoes instead of grits. Dennis was super nice and apologetic and corrected both mistakes when we let him know. He then brought us a big bowl of grits. The manager (blonde gal) came over and apologized for the mistakes tonight, letting us know that usually does not happen, and let us know she'd be comping one of our steaks and would be bringing a dessert on them. We thought that was very nice of them. However, as nice a gesture. we never did receive that dessert. My husband handed Dennis his credit card before the bill arrived (before our friends could try to pay the bill) and not sure why but our bill never came, and we never saw Dennis again either after he boxed up our leftovers and took the card. We had to ask another server for our bill because we had been waiting for quite a while... and needed to head out as we were already late to meet friends at a lounge. The other server came back with my husband's credit card, the bill (that's when I finally noticed the brussel sprouts sides we never got but were charged), and let the server know. He immediately apologized and took it off the bill. So I'm not sure what happened last night at Flying Pig...missing and charged brussel sprouts, steak overcooked, missing mushrooms, mashed potatoes instead of grits, then a comped dessert promised but never delivered. WOW. I had to apologize to my friends. I was totally hyping up this place and it underdelivered. They automatically got their 20% gratuity for our party of 9 but anyone that knows me knows how much I absolutely love great service combined with exceptional food and that could have easily been a 30-35% tip had they been on their A game! We only come to Oceanside once a year. Maybe we will try again next year. Maybe not. This trip was about trying out a bunch of different restaurants and giving honest reviews on dishes/businesses we haven't tried before, or in a long time. Do better guys.

People eating outside were comfy and one couple I stopped to speak with had lobsters and were very pleased! They drove down from Murrietta. Ok, that's my review. I want to preface this review by saying I went into my dining experience with very low expectations. I mean I know it's corporate owned, I had a San Diego Synergy gift card and it has a large footprint serving a large number of customers at the same time. That being said i was hopeful based on the Yelp reviews. I was just looking for average food and an average experience. What I got was unbelievably overpriced and underwhelming food as well as a headache from all the noise. After a few bites I was so disappointed that I asked my husband if we could stop somewhere on the way home to eat. I'm posting a pic of my $24 steak sandwich that had maybe 3 or 4 pieces of steak and was loaded with grilled onions and some type of creamy cheese that was not pleasant and made most of the bread soggy. The blackberry arugula salad was the size of a side salad. The dressing was dry and kinda made me thirsty as I ate it as did the very plain goat cheese scattered throughout that did nothing for the salad. All in all, man I hope this place makes a decent piece of toast because that's about all they would have going for them. Service was average for a busy restaurant. read more

During our visit to Oceanside, my uncle took us to Toasted Gastrobrunch, and wow - what a treat! This place instantly pulls you in with its vibrant, upbeat vibe and super friendly staff. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to stay a while and soak it all in. The food? So good. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas, and they were packed with flavor and totally satisfying. Someone else at the table had the veggie hash, and after one bite, I was tempted to steal the whole plate. Everything was fresh, colorful, and cooked just right. And then... the mimosa flight. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to the expectations set. My dining companions had mixed feelings, with comments ranging from "It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great" to "It wanted to be good but it just wasn't." We ordered the stuffed French toast, which was the best item we tried. While the bread was tasty, we've had better versions elsewhere. The fried chicken Benedict and avocado toast were quite disappointing. Some of the fried chicken was cold, and the sauce resembled a cold gravy more than a béchamel. The small potato balls were also cold, and the cheese inside the cornbread was chewy and unappealing. Overall, the dish did not work well, and I wouldn't recommend it. The avocado toast tasted like it came straight from a box. The bread was half dry and too thick, leaving it with a "meh" impression. It's worth noting that it was the 4th of July week on a Wednesday morning, and the place was very noisy with lots of families and appeared slightly understaffed. He was incredibly patient while answering our questions and taking everyone's orders, making sure our large group was well taken care of. Dylan went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We also want to recognize Cody, the manager, who stopped by several times to check on us and make sure everything was going smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about this fantastic restaurant. Admittedly, we walked right by the first day, incorrectly deeming it "pretentious." It is not. Although, some patrons may dress for Sunday church, there are also plenty of casual beach-goers ready to enjoy the food and drink of the gods. However, the delicious wares are only the tip of the iceberg. The service is undoubtedly epic. Polo, our server, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and altogether amazing. My husband is old-school - despising an empty drink. Polo did not disappoint in assuring that the bottomless mimosas were actually bottomless. He was laid back, yet incredibly professional. I highly recommend taking a visit to this lovely gastropub on your visit to Oceanside. Well worth it!! read more

Cody treated us with absolute hospitality from the moment we arrived at Toasted in Oceanside. He went above and beyond to accommodate our various needs, including traveling with dogs and having a wheelchair in our household. Cody seamlessly moved us from one table to another and did everything possible to ensure we were comfortable. The menu options were incredible for New Year's Eve--thoughtfully crafted and full of delicious choices that made our celebration truly memorable. Cody's care and attention made us feel like valued guests, and he was a big part of what made the evening so special. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. My cousin and I, a party of 2, arrived first, but another party of 2 that came in after us was seated before us. They chose to wait inside while we had to wait outside due to a large number of bees. The food was decent, but the service was far from satisfactory. From the moment I walked in, interacting with the greeter and servers, it was subpar. We arrived 2 hours before closing, but it seemed like their focus was on closing at 4 pm rather than serving customers. We waited a significant amount of time before someone offered us drinks and introduced themselves. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this establishment. We came here to celebrate Father's Day, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. After we paid, the waiter stood at our table, counted the money right in front of us, and actually asked for more tip money. It was beyond awkward and completely inappropriate. Tipping is based on the service provided, not something that should be demanded or guilt-tripped over, especially in front of family on a special occasion. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, and it totally ruined the mood. Even if the food was fine, the service experience made it clear that we won't be returning. I arrived on a Saturday morning around 10 AM and was seated fairly quickly. However, it took a while for the waitress to take my order. I ordered the Plain Jane. The sausage was good, but the sourdough bread was cold and undercooked. The potatoes looked great, but they were also cold, and the eggs were not cooked as I had requested. I had to wait a long time for a coffee refill and for a new fork, as I had to use the original one to kill a small fly that landed on my sausage. He was knowledgeable on the menu items and offered some solid recommendations when asked. The Vegan Hash was really awesome and filling. We were very disappointed. We have eaten elsewhere in this area and have had great food. My wife had the southern fried chicken benny, $20.50. The other 2 places we had chicken was delicious. This was boring. Eggs were flavorless. The potatoes were okay. I have the stuffed french toast $19.00 which was nothing to write home about although my wife finished off the passionfruit caramel. Only bright spot was the waitress that kept our waterglasses full and was attentive otherwise a 1 star. We've been in the Carlsbad Oceanside area for the week and loved all the other places.
