If you want a latte for under $5, this is the place to visit! I've seen them when I'm in this area. Finally stopped in and was pleased with my visit. There's plenty of healthy options for food. They also have smoothies, a variety of other beverages, including coffee. On an early Sunday morning they weren't too busy. I placed an order for a latte and it was $4.92! That's a fair price in this economy! The drink tasted great. Service was good. The space is clean and bright. I really liked the decor with the plants. Add them to your list!

This Toastique is in a beautiful location. I believe they have indoor and outdoor seating, however the outdoor seating is not an option in winter. The interior seating area is clean-ish. You have to order at the counter and pick up at the counter as well. So it's basically self service. There are some individual tables and then community tables as well. The part I didn't like was the amount of noise due to their equipment, which kind of runs a lot with smoothie and coffee orders. There's no ambient or background music playing to mask that noise. There's food is good, but the plastic cutlery makes cutting the toasts difficult. I recommend this for a takeout location as opposed to sitting and eating in.

I absolutely love Toastique in Columbia! The staff here are always so friendly. It's one of those places where you instantly feel welcome the moment you walk in. I'm so happy we have healthier options like this in Columbia! My go-to order is the collagen latte (so good!) and sometimes the crab toast, which is always fresh and flavorful. It's become part of my post-workout routine after hitting Mayweather Gym, and it's the perfect way to refuel. Bonus perk, if you're a Mayweather Gym member, you get 15% off your order! How awesome is that?! Overall, great vibes, amazing service, and food that makes you feel good. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I went to this cute little place for breakfast and was impressed by their choice of healthy options. I wanted to keep it basic so had their Avocado smash toast. The avocado was perfect ripe, the bread was great and it was seasoned to perfection. Loved the flavor of the chili oil. The portion was really big as well. Decided to be a little fancy on the coffee and try their sea foam latte. The foam was thick, seasoned with sea salt and it was blue!! But the overall taste was okay. The service was a bit slow but a good place overall.

So disappointed at how little fruit there is on the acai bowl. I love acai bowl and have never gotten such skimp amount of fruit on top-- as you can see, a few blueberries, 3 slices of strawberries, 4 slices of banana... nothing else underneath. For $15 this is atrocious. The acai base also doesn't taste like acai. Definitely going somewhere else next time.

Greek Toast - very little toppings for the amount of bread

Finally tried this out, I've been looking forward to it. Looking at their menu, almost every juice has mango in it. I asked the salesperson of they had a juice without mango because I'm allergic to it, but he didn't seem to understand what I asked because he suggested one with mango, lol. I just passed z I ordered the Greek Toast - very little toppings for the amount of bread. I just ate the tomatoes and olives with a fork. Not worth the price and not filling. The flavor was good, though. It definitely needs a lot more substance, and maybe something to keep it on the bread so you can actually eat it like toast. The establishment itself is very clean and pleasant.

Happy to find a nice clean, comfortable and relaxing place to gather and catch up with some friends. We arrived around 9:30 and it was nicely quiet with available tables to choose from. The staff was very nice, helpful and quiet. You place your order at the main counter then your freshly prepared choices are brought to your table. They also have a large refrigerated case with sandwiches, salads and other healthy snacks to choose from. There are cold pressed juices that were delicious and nice to know that no added sugar is used. We had a couple of their gourmet toasts which used fresh ingredients and were quite filling. Another friend had a breakfast bowl which looked very fresh and filled to the brim. I had their cold pressed juices called Recharge, with Beet / Carrot / Apple / Orange / Ginger, which was not over powering and refreshing to taste. Our meals were tasty and enjoyed by all. The area is brightly lit with a large viewing area on one side where you can watch the outdoor courtyard area. On warmer days, they have seating outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and activities of a growing neighborhood of apartments and new businesses of restaurants and stores.

Amazing place for a quick breakfast! I love the quality of the food, it's fresh and they don't skimp on the quality ingredients either. The service is fast like a fast food establishment but with all the health foods you'd want. There's wellness shots and lots of options for a healthy morning breakfast. I love the vibes inside the store as well, the music is calming and the sun shines directly in during the morning, it's stunning! Would recommend!

Avocado smash toast.

We had the avocado smash toast - very good and loaded, not sure how they would fit the optional add-on crab or egg. Of course we dove in, and only remembered to take a pic when about half done. Casual eat-in, or out on the patio. The was a little line, but ordering was quick; they must make it fresh, because it took a minute to bring the food out, but well worth the wait!

Disappointed of the Iced Lavender Berry Matcha. Doesn't taste like matcha or berry, just milk with lavender syrup.

Very cute smoothie and juice bar with a variety of artisan toast options. Don't let the word toast fool you, each slice of hearty bread was filled generously with toppings. We ordered the salmon, tuna and avocado toast. They all had generous portions of meat and were delicious. The smoothies were delicious as well. I got the seasonal peach smoothie which was not overly sweet and still tasted healthy. I didn't get to try any of their wellness shots or drinks during this visit but I definitely want to return to try them.

I love Toastique and this location was wonderful for a quick bite before heading out to a show. Service was quick, the restaurant clean, and all of the ingredients fresh. I love their toasts, but the prepackaged items are also great for healthy grab and go meals. Very reasonably priced too!

The food is consistently exceptional, the drinks are always on point, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and welcoming. Whenever friends or family visit from out of town, this is my go-to spot because I know they'll leave impressed. Most recently, I visited for brunch on Saturday and ordered the short rib gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious... rich, flavorful, and incredibly filling. I paired it with the bubbles flight, which featured an assortment of four sparkling wines and was the perfect complement to the meal. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Great food, great drinks, and consistently great experiences. Love this place. Five stars for consistency and great food!

The truffle popcorn was excellent, our child enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the fresh tuna appetizer was flavorful, although overly sauced. Unfortunately, the scallops with risotto were unacceptable. Both entrees had a strong ammonia-like taste from the first bite, which was immediately noticeable to both of us. We were unable to get much attention from our server due to how busy the restaurant was, but the dishes were left mostly untouched for a reason. For a $40 entrée, we expected much better quality and execution. Sadly, The Food Market did not deliver.

Eggspectation - Merriweather District…read more My first visit to Eggspectation and it made a strong first impression. Located in the ever-growing Merriweather District, parking can be a bit of a mixed bag. There's a nearby surface lot that fills up quickly, but a larger parking garage within easy walking distance that makes things manageable--and a bonus for EV drivers, with multiple charging stations that are available. Just plan ahead, especially on weekends or when events are happening at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The space itself is modern and thoughtfully designed. One side of the dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light and offers peaceful views of Symphony Woods--a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal or a little people-watching. There's also a covered outdoor patio that looks especially appealing for warmer days. Service during our lunch visit was excellent. Ethan struck that ideal balance--friendly, attentive, and accommodating without hovering. He handled menu questions with ease and was happy to make a few substitutions without hesitation. A seasonal spring menu is currently available, but the full menu being offered all day is a nice plus. We started with the Ginger Zinger--refreshing with just the right amount of zing. I went with the veggie omelette, customized to my liking, and it delivered: perfectly cooked and packed with fresh mushrooms, spinach, and asparagus. The Lyonnaise potatoes were flavorful, and the lightly dressed salad rounded out the plate nicely. My friends both ordered the Eggspectation breakfast sandwich, stacked high with thick-cut bacon and presented beautifully. Portions across the board were generous--we expected leftovers, but between the good food and even better conversation, most plates were nearly cleared. Prices lean toward the moderately expensive side, but that's fairly standard for this area--and the quality justifies it. If you're looking for a quieter experience, weekdays are your best bet. It's also a great spot to unwind after a walk around the nearby lakes or wooded paths. While there is ongoing construction in the area, the restaurant itself is well insulated from the noise. Overall, a very solid first visit. I'd gladly return to explore more of the menu.

Very fun big bar as well. We got everything she recommended and it was so good! We got the Eggstravaganza (Brioche French Toast with two eggs, choice of meat and potatoes) and the Flatbread Sourdough Pizza with Pepperoni, grilled onions and peppers, and extra cheese. For drinks we got the seasonal Pistachio Latte and the Tropical Teaser smoothie that was a refreshing fresh fruit smoothie with mango, banana, pineapple and strawberries. It turned out there is a large, free, public parking lot less than half a block from the restaurant. Our reservations were for 3:00 which worked out perfectly. We missed the buffet crowd before us and the dinner crowd after. We checked in at the front desk and were lead to our booth, which was tucked away in a corner and so cozy and comfortable. Our waitress, Lori, came by to check on us and to see if we needed anything. She was wonderful our whole dining experience. The rest of our party soon arrived and we ordered drinks and some appetizers. When our granddaughter, Ashley, ordered an alcoholic drink our waitress carded her. While checking the ID the waitress' face lit up and she smiled as she realized it was a few days past Ashley's 21st birthday. For appetizers we ordered fried green tomatoes, fried lobster bites, and duck oil fries. It wasn't long before every bit of the appetizers were eaten. For our meals I ordered crab soup and an entree salad, Our daughter ordered onion soup and a hamburger. For the rest of our party there was another hamburgers ordered, a crab cake, a seafood dish, and a fried chicken sandwich. One down side to the meal was my crab soup was awful. It tasted like tomato juice with frozen vegetables and some crabmeat. (Awful crab soup? This is Maryland, it should be better than that.) I passed it down to Richard. My salad was very good, nothing outstanding, but fresh enough and quite generous. Everyone else was totally enjoying their food. Ashley only ate about half of her seafood stew, but since she had eaten over half of the lobster bites, that was not surprising. For dessert daughter ordered cheese cake to carryout. Ashley ordered some fancy piece of cake. Of course it came with Happy Birthday written in frosting across the bottom of dish. We had had requested not a big birthday fuss so that was perfect. All in all it was a nice birthday lunch. I think arriving mid day, having Lori for our waitress, and everyone if good spirits made it perfect. I would definitely be happy to go back again, especially if we could get a cozy booth with Lori as our waitress.

I waited in line with Child #1 and Child #2 to make our order and fortunately, a staffer saw us looking for a table and waved us over to an area that they were cleaning as another party of three stood up. It's worth noting that while there are a few small 2-top and 4-top tables, most of the space is jam-packed where your table will butt right up against a different party. It adds a bit to the convivial experience, but it does also mean a larger group may have to split up. Got some brunch, and Child #2 got a kids' meal of pancakes with bacon. Seemed pretty standard. I love a good plate of chicken and waffles so I sprang for that. The chicken was decently seasoned but the waffles were underwhelming. Child #1 got The berry cheesecake french toast and loved it. I tasted a bite and it was not bad. There is an area with condiments that customers can just grab (there is no table-side service, so this makes sense), including a place to grab your own water. Child #1 ordered an orange juice, which we both tasted and it was definitely fermented (unpleasant). When I brought it up to the staff behind the counter, it was "oh, that's too bad" with no offer to remedy it. We bought a bottled one from their fridge, which was better. I got a mango peach lemonade, which was sweet but otherwise very nice. Child #2's meal came with a juice box. We were meeting up with my wife just a few minutes later, so I ordered her an iced coffee and a cubano sandwich. To the barista's credit, they said "hey, just wave me down when you're about finished eating and I'll make it fresh for you to go." Nice. The cubano was okay - it came on what seemed like white bread, rather than a sturdier ciabatta or sub roll that can be pressed (like a cubano normally is) so my wife found it to be okay at best. Overall, the experience didn't blow me away, but there were some decent items and clearly folks in the know come here often so maybe we just had a down day. If I come back, I think I'll try any of the Korean fusion dishes (it is in Ellicott City, after all).
