Authentic Mexican paletas and ice cream sold here. I know there have been a lot of Michoacanas popping up at every corner, but forget them, they're not that good. Tocumbo is where you will find fresh and delicious paletas. The milk-based ones are so creamy and delicious. My favorite is the avocado one, which also comes in ice cream form. Other favorites are the classics like coconut and pistachio. You will also find some rare varieties like gansito, a Mexican pastry that's basically a vanilla mini cake with strawberry and cream filling, covered in chocolate (think chocopie but with strawberry filling). Another rare flavor is buñuelos, sort of like a churro, with hints of cinnamon. Mazapán, your peanut flavored marzipan. Chongos zamoranos you have to try. It is basically cooked milk with cinnamon, it is so, so good. My grandma used to do this dessert whenever she over boiled milk (aka burned it). In ice cream form tho, it is delightful. Their milk ice creams/paletas really taste like the stuff they're made of and I also love then because they're not too sweet, like other places (like la Michoacana). I haven't tried too many of their non milk-based flavors, other than maracuyá and guanabana. Both are exotic fruits here because they're so expensive and hard to find, but are common in many Latin American countries. Maracuyá (passion fruit) has a little bit of acidity but the sweetness and texture mix complement it. Guanabana (soursop) has a very delicate flavor and it's very refreshing. They also sell Mexican snacks like fruit cups, tostilocos, prepared Doritos... And so on. They have a points system too so that you can get rewards when you reach a certain number. Really enjoyed coming here. It was my first time here and I think we found it from yelp. Everyone is really nice in there and there were quite a bit of customers sitting and eating. The ice cream is really good, the raspado was not to shabby they are very large even the small. My wife got a corn and she did not really like the cheese that is used so that was probably the only thing that wasn't really good. The ice cream dulce de leche is amazing!!!! And the filling is so tasty! They have a loyalty program and they take some basic information. I see a lot of small businesses getting in on reward system and that's smart helps your customers to continue coming back. If you want a sweet treat that's less creamy but still delicious, try one of the water-based ones. Last night was my first visit, and I had sampled their elote (creamy, corn flavor - it was tasty!) and the bunuelos (think of it almost like an equivalent of a Mexican cinnamon-sugar donut). Both were good in their own right; but to be honest, I came for the water-based tropical flavors of guava and soupsop (as a girl of Southeast Asian descent, my eyes definitely dazzle at the sight of atypical tropical fruit flavors). Also, definitely try their aguas frescas too! We ordered the sandia (watermelon) and it was an absolute refreshing delight for summery weather. My taste buds were definitely sad when we finished everything, but I am satisfied we'd gone and can't wait to come back.
